I have been reluctantly thinking about replacing my 99 Honda Hatchback. I had two criteria; #1) that it would fit into my garage space (so it couldnt be much larger than the hatchback, and #2) I wanted something with good fuel economy. I had several friends that own the Prius, and have loved them. So I set out on a search. I received two reponses to my internet search, one from Max at Heintz Toyota, and the other from a dealer here in Minneapolis. I was unimpressed with the response I received from the dealer in Minneapolis, but very impressed with the encouragement and information I got from Max. After having decided that this was too much work, I wrote both of the dealers and said I was not going to get a new car this winter. Max wrote back immediately, encouraging me with the details of the Priuss capabilities for winter driving. On the spur of the moment, I called him and said I was going to drive down to look at a car. He was there, met me and was very thorough about his explanation on the car. I drove it and fell in love with it! I put a down payment on it, and went home, very excited. Here comes the downfall: This all happened with Thanksgiving in our midst, granted. I received an e-mail from Natalie (accounting) stating that my car would be ready on the 29th, and I needed to pick it up before the months end. Part of my problem was that I didnt realize this was so easy. You make the decision on the car, they take care of everything, and even the insurance agent was easy about this. BUT I DIDNT KNOW THIS. I had basically no communication after I gave them the deposit, until I picked up a phone call from Max the morning I was to pick up the car, stating that Natalie could see me either at 10:30 or 11. I needed to drive down from the cities! In essence, it all worked out well. I have my Prius and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Both Max an Natalie, in the end, did a great job. I just wish the communication could have been a little more attentive. But thank you....Im sure any follow-up will be handled with customer service in mimd....

I had searched pre-owned vehicles extensively on the internet so I had a good idea what vehicles I wanted to look at. Laurie D. was very helpful showing me a full listing of vehicles and offering test drives in various models. It was a cold windy and rainy day when I went to check out Heintzs vehicles but Laurie was right out in the lot helping me find what I wanted. She had several customers that had appointments and another salesperson was very willing to step in and give me additional information. The purchase process also went very smooth although I did feel a bit pushed into purchaseing the extended warranty and a couple other options that I would have had to commit to on the day of the sale. I would have been better prepared to accept these offers if I had been told that they existed several days prior to the actual purchase date, perhaps when I placed my down payment to hold the vehicle. That would have allowed me time to look at the contracts and arrange for the added costs. I just bought my Camry but love it and enjoyed working with the Heintz crew. Give me a few years of driving it on our not so well maintained roads and well see if I feel the same.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to buy a vehicle, and for vehicle service too. I recently purchased a car from them and Im happy with it, but what really won them my business was their staff. I had sold my old car and I was looking to upgrade so I went to a few other dealerships in Mankato. The other ones were really pushy and tried too hard to sell me a car, to the point that it was just annoying. Other dealerships also had me fill out paperwork before letting me test drive a vehicle which also bugged me. Not at heintz though. They were very professional and I liked it. A guy named Greg helped us and he was not pushy, and let us do the choosing. And when we wanted to test drive a car he just needed my license, which was good because they didnt make me fill out pointless paperwork. Greg also answered any questions we had in a very polite manner. All in all I really appreciate how easy going and polite they were. I also get all of my car services done their and they do a great job all the time. I definitely trust them when my car needs service and I would highly recommend this place.

I have received wonderful service from this dealership when working with selling a car and buying a used one. I was so happy with the service, I later traded that car in and bought a new Toyota from Heintz. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I have had to have some body work done several times and I have never received anything but the best service and pricing. I have purchase tires for my car through Toyota and have had oil changes and check ups many times over the years. I plan to continue dealing with this company for many years to come. Ive purchased cars and had service through other dealerships in the Mankato area, but never felt the level of trust that I feel with this company. I would recommend Heintz to anyone. Its unfortunate if others have had a bad experience as I have had very little problem with anything. There WAS an overzealous young woman trying to sell me an extended warranty. I believe she was the owners daughter, but I complained and was treated very well upon my complaint. I think their customer service is beyond reproach.

First a word to those buying used cars. They are USED, and sold "As Is, No Warranty" by dealers and private owners alike. Thats the untold price you pay when buying used. We purchased a new 12 Venza XLE with Ingrids help. Note we purchased this as the 13s were beginning to appear on the lot. We also educated ourselves about the costs of various options and determined what a fair profit for the dealer would be. We also knew what our 05 Magnum RT was worth as a trade and retail. They treated us fairly and gave us a very good deal on exactly what we wanted. Sure, they try to sell extended warranties and such... thats their job, to make money... we just said no and moved on. Something most folks forget about is negotiating on extras you may want. Heintz is more than accommodating in this regard. A highly recommended dealer.

Bad Bad Bad!! worst experience for me to go there and thinking of buying car from them. Jeff, Saleman do not know how to talk to people and dont know anything about customer service. I dont know how educated he is and I dont know whom he got interviewed with to get this job. Instead of Politeness he was very rude, do not have any helping nature and only thinks of himself instead of buisness and customer profit. I will not recommend any of my friend and family to purchase any car from there. Jeffs Manager also was not very helpful and do not know how to manage the people working for him and also how to handle customers. If you are planing to buy any car from there please mark my words, dont expect any help or good cutomer service. They are only thinking about there profit. They do not give any damm about customers
