My wife and I had planned a visit to Molle Toyota to see a particular 2006 Toyota Highlander which had just recently appeared for sale "on-line". We had spent a decent amount of time (mostly my wife) researching the various types of vehicles (Honda, Nissan, Jeep, Mazda, & Toyotas) which we were interested in. So by this time we had pretty much narrowed our search down to our choice being a Highlander. There were several good options "out there" on our short list. But we were looking for that elusive balance of perfect vehicle, low miles, great condition and most importantly ... a realistic price. Add into that we felt it would come down to being able to work with a sales person & a dealer. By the time we arrived at Molle Toyota on that evening, it was near 7:00 pm and already dark. We parked our car and began looking for the 2006 Highlander which we wanted to see. After a short time of looking, without success, we meet David Betzer (Sales Advisor). David was immediately pleasant, relaxed and helpful. He did mention that he was still fairly new to his job, but that if he didnt know an answer to a question, he would find it out for us. He said it was on the previously owned lot but when he couldn’t find it he did not hesitate to ask for help. He checked and verified that it was indeed parked inside the service area & asked if we would still like to see it? We did go back and had the opportunity to see this vehicle which had recently been traded in ... in its "natural state". It was refreshing to not feel like we couldnt see the vehicle until it had its "make-up" put on for a big date. We told David that we would like to drive this Highlander after it had been checked and cleaned. David called us when it was ready, and we returned again to look it over and drive it. After a while of checking it out and asking questions of David, we decided to see what the numbers might look like relative to their "Toyota Certified Vehicles 2.9%" financing and the trade in of our Mazda 626. David showed us a very surprising & pleasant offer. With all of our research (again, thanks to my wife), we felt like we had found that elusive balance of all parts of the car buying process. We felt like this was the vehicle and the deal for us. The paper work process was quick and seamless (“J.R.” was also very helpful and pleasant to work with). At no point, did we feel pressured or even stressed. The entire process was very professional, yet very relaxed and family friendly. David even further helped in locating a missing rear cargo area mat, making sure that several small scratches were taken care of and even getting us our rear license plate from our Mazda (which did not want to come off the night I left it). My wife and I would gladly work with David and the staff at Molle Toyota again in the future. And we would highly recommend them to anyone that is seeking a great vehicle & a pleasant, no-pressure buying experience. We wish David much success in his new career …. Thanks, Steve & Kandi

I am a returning customer from their Volkswagen lot with a 2012 GLI Autobahn edition. When I purchased that car, I was given a great deal on my trade and an offer right off the bat that I was very happy with. I was told then, "We have a Toyota Dealer across the street and offer you great money on your Tacoma because of it." So, today I figured that I would return them business again by coming in and trading my VW back for a Tacoma. The Salesman that I purchased my 2012 through suggested I talk to a person at Toyota. I went in and asked for this person and he referred me to one of their "salespersons" in the dealership...meaning I have to go through someone else, then through him, and then through the sales manager or whoever. I have done my research and know what my car is worth, I know what the car I want is worth, and what I can afford to pay. I went in and they conducted a check of my car that is in good condition according to Kelly Blue Book (which is what I was told dealerships go by or honor). Good condition according to Kelly Blue Book has a value of my car around $15,500 (this is the lowest setting on the scale). Prior to returning the "salesperson" told me that he would be giving me an offer to avoid any haggling and I told him that is the way I purchased a car from them before and that is how I wanted to buy again! The "salesperson" came back and offered me $11,500 for my trade. I was insulted by an offer that was $4000 lower than what my car is actually worth ON THE LOW END OF THE SCALE!!! The GLI Autobahn is a rare car that is not available used very often. I would expect more from a dealership that deals in this type of a car....unless they have no idea what kind of car I have or do not quote model types properly in order to scam or swindle someone that they look at who might be STUPID. Guess what Molle, I AM NOT STUPID!!! I left the dealership outraged. I will never buy from Molle, any Molle dealership again. I went back to my original salesperson at Volkswagen and told him about my offer. He said, "Well, that doesnt sound right. I am sorry." Well thanks a lot for the help! I will add Molle dealerships to my DO NOT BUY list.

Today I helped my parents get a new Toyota Highlander Limited. Without a doubt I can honestly say that buying a vehicle from Molle Toyota was the best buying experience I have been part off. First off, their price was SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS than three local competing Toyota dealerships. I tried to get the lowest price for my parents and Beth the Internet Sales Lady and I were able to quickly reach a fantastic price. The other dealerships...not so. The experience at the dealership was great as well. Phil showed us the SUVs my parents were interested in. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did not feel pressured to buy anything. Finally once my parents selected the SUV we went to the business office to close on the car. In the past when I bought cars the closer would try to pressure me into buying extra insurance. I dreaded that experience. At Molle that was not the case. JD or maybe JR was very friendly and only asked once if we would consider extra insurance. We said no and that was it. No badgering of any sort. To top all of it off, my mother had to leave for some errands and my father and I were "stranded" at the dealership. Since it was getting close to lunch we were able to get a courtesy car and go out for lunch. While at lunch I got a text from Phil that the car was detailed and ready. We went back, got the SUV, Phil helped to sink my fathers IPhone to the cars bluetooth and off we went. I highly recommend Molle. It was a great buying experience and everybody was nice and helpful.

I was originally looking for a base-model Camry. Molle was the only dealership in Kansas City with not one, but two of the vehicles for which I was shopping. I went to the dealership knowing what I was looking for. First, the salesman went with me on the test drive - no big deal. We merged onto the highway, and he told me to take the next exit. We drove less than a mile on the highway to test drive the car - I should be the one to decide how far is sufficient to drive. Second, when we came back, I was still ready to make a deal on the car. They pulled out the high-pressure sale tactics, quite possibly because Im a woman. When I told them I already had a lower offer and that I knew the invoice was lower than they were saying, one of the managers said I should probably just buy the car somewhere else then. So I left, and about 20 minutes later, the salesman calls me and offers me the price I had proposed. I said I would have to think about it. 10 minutes later, he calls again and kicks a few more hundred off the price. They acted like the typical high-pressure sales people who wont give you the deal while you are at the dealership, and they interacted with me in a very demeaning way. I went over to Shawnee Mission Toyota and bought my car there. I got a better deal, and they were TONS better to deal with. No high pressure tactics, plus there was a mutual respect. I will never set foot at Molle again.
