Very Very disappointed..... I am a regular shopper at Hobby Lobby and before today would tell anyone whod ask me, that it was my all time favorite store. However, I have never been more disappointed with my shopping experience as I was today. If you ask anyone who has small children, it is difficult to get out to shop. So, today I found myself brave enough to tackle going to the "craft store" with my two daughters, ages 3 and two months. After making my way to the back of the store, my three year old needed to use the potty. I politely asked the woman in the jewelry department where the restrooms were located. To which I got a look of inconvience and a quick reply "over there." After using the restroom and returning to my cart of merchandise, we proceeded to finish our shopping in the jewelry department. We paced the isles looking for the items I needed only to have the woman staring at us. Never once did she ask if I was finding what I needed (to which I wasnt) or if she could help me in any way. However, she have the audacity to say something to my three year old who was standing right next to me about her touching the items and how each had a specific number on them. I understand she had organized the department, and I also understand that I am the mother and I was standing right beside my daughter making sure she was returning the items where she found them and that she didnt take or break anything that wasnt hers. I watched as my three year old burst into tears, as the woman said "I didnt embarrass her did I?" I literally turned around and left the department, biting my tongue because I knew Id say something Id regret. I should have left my cart right there and walked out of the store empty handed. (If it wasnt so difficult to shop with an infant and a toddler I would have) I, however, proceeded to the checkout, (without the items I still needed), to pay for what I had found. I told the cashier its unfortunate the experience I had today, because I love hobby lobby and the things they stand for. Thank you lady for ruining my first shopping experience out with baby #2, I really hope you treat the next customer with a little more respect. Im very very disappointed

Went in the store two weeks ago with a neighbor, as my friend was checking out I politely asked the cashier if she could give me an application for employment. I expressed to her, my interest in interior decorating. I had noticed that there were no African American employees in the store. She pointed to a display stand and stated that I would find application on the stand. I look around for 3 or 4 minutes. No applications were on the stand. Again, I approached her a second time. Same response. There were no applications on the stand, only store credit card pamphlets were displayed. I concluded that if I wanted to apply for employment there, she would not be willing to assist me in obtaining an application because of the ethnicity. I will be be shopping in that store ever again!!!!!

CONTRARY TO ANOTHER REVIEW STATED, I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE IN HOBBY LOBBY. WHEN THEY FIRST OPENED I WAS LOOKING IN THE BEAD DEPARTMENT AND THERE WAS A LOVELY BLACK LADY WORKING THERE AND SHE WAS EXCEPTIONAL IN HER CUSTOMER SERVICE. ALSO I GRABBED APPLICATIONS FOR MY SON SEVERAL TIMES UP IN THE FRONT WHERE THEY ARE AND I AM SURE IF YOU CONTACTED TH MANAGER, HE WOULD HAVE ACCOMODATED YOU. I GUESS THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH A BUSINESS TO JUSTIFY THERE IGNORANCE. I LOVE HOBBY LOBBY AND NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE.

I, too, have had nothing but positive experiences with this store. Ashley, the customer service representative, is African-American--as am I--and has been an absolute joy with which to work. Others, too, have been quite helpful as Ive had questions or sought opinions about what matters to me at the time. I shop frequently at this location and have shopped at other locations and in other states. The service and selection are wonderful! I would recommend shopping here.

I didnt have a good experience at the Rock rd store because nobody was interested in helping me find the ITEM# FOR THE EAGLE I WANTED TO ORDER FOR MY PASTOR SO I HAD TO CALL THE BALLWIN STORE AND THE SALESPERSON WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL , " HER REPLY WAS THE ROCK RD STORE COULD HAVE EASILY LOOKED UP THE SKU# AND IT MUST BE NICE FOR PEOPLE NOT TO DO THEIR JOB!!! I WAS NOT PLEASED AT ALL!!!

There are a ton of things here that you want but theyre often very overpriced. Then there are tons of items that you couldnt ever make yourself but are worth buying here. Some good holiday stuff and the discounts seemed pretty good if the item was off-season.

Hobby Lobby used to have good deals but now they are over priced and there is always some problem at the cash registers making the wait unbearable. Also, i find it curious they are closed on Sundays for Jesus but open on Martin Luther King Jr day.

Nice staff! Only downside to returning rentals is you need the card you used when returning, but as long as the items are all there they wont give you a late fee. 5☆ for being reasonable and nice to customers!

First time at this location and I fell in love! The selections are sweet, the prices are okay and you can get lost in those aisles with brainstorming on where products can be placed in your home!

Very cool store. My son and I came for one thing but spent about 45minutes looking at all the cool toy, gadgets and experiment sets they had. Long wait at the checkout.

This is a very nice store. It is well organized and has great sales. There is tons of inventory. The staff was very helpful.
