Extremely poor service! I had an even exchange and was treated like a criminal. The staff had no professional verbal skills and were dressed unprofessionally. They attacked me because I had my card statement in Lieu of my receipt and no tags on the item. They made almost no eye contact and were short tempered so I gave it right back, I wont be treated like that in a JC Penney. I was head of Security and Homeland Security Liaison for this company in two states and those states largest stores, I supervised departments and taught my cashiers excellent customer service skills. This store in particular is a real dive, its messy and too much merchandise crowded into small spaces, in fact while I was being treated badly at the counter a woman came in from the parking with and item that she says got caught on her bag while she was leaving...caught because you cant walk around without getting caught on racks or having to move out of the way to let someone else by. The merchandise is presented in a way that gives it the impression of being cheap not good quality for less but cheap like dollar store cheap. Now I am sorry I didnt have the receipt or the tags, I tried it on in the store and the item fit but when I wore it for about an hour it was so uncomfortable it was digging into my side and very painful. I didnt want to keep an expensive item that I would or could not wear for more than an hour and I wasnt asking for a refund just an even exchange for an alternate item. Because it fit and I did not foresee any problems I took the tags off and I do keep receipts but was unable to locate this one before I left for the store but did make an effort by at least bringing in the statement that had that purchase on it. This companys technology is so out dated and unfriendly that it hinders good customer service. They really need to get their IT department up to speed and also deal with Synchrony bank and get them up to speed as well, their technology is what makes it so hard for them to interact with customers in these situations because they have to jump through hoops and I recognize this dilemma they face but that doesnt make it ok to treat a very good customer with such disdain.

I had a pleasantly unexpected and very successful shopping experience this week when I visited the Mens Department with my 14 year old son in search of dress attire for his upcoming confirmation. After searchng and pondering (as my son has recently had a growth spurt) I was approached by a clerk, Cody. He showed us where the slim selections were in both dress pants, suit coats and shirts were. Then he went the extra mile and then some by helping with selection of colors, and ties as well as teaching my son how to tie a tie. He escorted us off to the shoe department and on to the checkout. He allowed my son to wear the suit home to show his brother and his dad. I was impressed by his willingness, motivation and patience to see that my son had everything he needed and a look that he was comfortable with and it was done in a relaxed non pressure manner. My son left the store happy! Cody gave us a high level of customer service that often times seems to be a thing of the past in so many cases. And it was a much higher level than I had expected, but had experienced decades ago growing up and going to JCP with my own mother as a child in the 60s and 70s. Thanks again Cody.

Staff here are useless and not cooperative and unprofessional. Stood in line in cold weather with small kids on thanksgiving to grab few deals. Got one 24 piece anchor glass storage but later found the bowls have cracks on them. No stock of Anchor for an exchange. They denied to provide an exchange with 18 piece pyrex. Pyrex 18 piece was $23 at Target and i paid $26 for Anchor, but still they denied the xchnage. What a waste of time. And bad experince . Lost a thanksgiving deal just because i chosen JCPenney . I should have gone for walmart for 24 piece pyrex for $18. No respect for customer and thanksgiving deal tradition. Waste fellaas...hate them

Most of their workers seem nice. However all of their managers or key holders seem rude. They wont do closing announcements at night. So they then just glare at you when you make your way up to the register. Most stores make annoucements saying they are closing, I think JCP could handle it! Its also irritating that quite a few cashiers barely speak English so it is very difficult to communicate, then I feel like a bad person for asking "what" after they say something in a thick accent. I dont think that they cant handle the job, I just think maybe it would be easier for everyone involved if they could work out on the floor instead

I wouldnt even give this place 1 star if I could post without it. My mother went in for a haircut and spent $50 on a haircut with Linda to come out with one side of her hair way shorter than the other. Stylists were rude when she went back saying "you need to come back when its not so busy" and blaming the shorter hair on her asking her if she cut it herself. Now she is forced to cut off even more hair because the stylist was not listening to her wants. Words cannot explain how upset she is and no one in our family will be returning to this salon.

Worst experience in the store. Never again to go back in JCpenny, besides they were by far expensive than Kohls. I order online and when I picked up the item I want to change the color they have in store. sames item, same price but they dont let me changed the item that was in store. They said it needs to be changed online too. I just cant believe they make it so hard, when you can do it on the spot. Returned and exchange, what it is so hard about it.

There were 2 workers right next to me and my arms were full of clothes, neither of them asked me if they could help me or get a cart. I asked if they had carts and one worker told me where to find them, then after a minute she realized she should offer to go get it for me and she did. Other than that, the cashier was great. Huge smile and very nice.

In the mens clothing section they had 2 different University of Wisconsin - Madison Badgers shirts hanging up on the wall and 0 Gophers shirts on the wall. Being that this store is located in Minnesota and ~15 miles from campus this is a huge embarrassment for the store. I will personally never shop there ever again.

Its mediocre selection of clothes is only surpassed by its constant brigade of "sales" which consists of perpetual 15% coupons and 20% if you sign up for their credit card, which they will pester you about every time you check out. I often avoid this store for that very reason.

Buy 1 get 1 50% off With above statement my first perception was If I buy 1 I wil get 1 free which is equal to 50 % off. But it was 50 % off on the second one and first one is fully charged Customer service is good at showing up his maths skill
