If you want top dollar diamonds and design from a creative, and honest family run organization- look no further. Below Ill give a long winded version of the awesome service I was given here. For a short version: Monique, her son, and daughter went to huge lengths to make my wifes ring absolutely spectacular (we custom designed it together) and to help meet an urgent timeline for a proposal trip. I highly recommend them without any reservations and have done so to many friends and family who have bought engagement rings and other jewelry with similar experiences. I came to Monique from the recommendation of an elated co-worker. She could not stop talking about the value of her diamond, the beauty of the design and the one-on-one service that she received here, so I had to check it out. I was more than happily surprised. Being a young guy about to propose, I knew nothing about diamonds or rings and was reluctant to go to trust Wedding Day Diamonds, Shane Co and Jared. I went to those places actually, but felt like I couldnt trust the sales associates there- I felt rushed and pushed to choose designs I didnt quite like and diamonds that I had no clue if they were good or not. I ended up choosing a design that her brother had made in years past (jewelry and diamond knowledge of design and value truly runs in this family) and Monique had a wax version created for me to view before ordering the full ring. Upon seeing the wax version, I knew my wife wouldnt like it and felt sick about it. I was supposed to be proposing in five days on a camping trip, but it didnt look possible anymore. Monique pulled out some paper, listened to my thoughts on how it should be different, and together we drew the adjustments for the design. On the day that we were leaving for this trip, Moniques son met me at my place of work to deliver the ring so that the surprise trip could go on as planned. I couldnt stop looking at the ring- it is the most unique piece of jewelry with the most brilliant diamond I have ever seen still to this day. Monique, her son, and her daughter were so good to my wife and I and they continue to be as well. Cleaning and maintaining the quality of the rings is a breeze (I got a unique wedding band here as well), they know us by our first names and make us feel welcome. I first walked into Monique of Switzerland one year ago. I was looking for an engagement ring. Now Im not what you would call "diamond literate" and I was getting mixed information off of various websites, so I decided to go to the experts. Monique is incredibly knowledgeable, not only about her line of jewelry but also about trends and facts generally regarding the diamond trade. She took lots of time to explain different characteristics, prices, sizes, cuts, clarity, insurance, so that even I could make an informed purchase. Ultimately I brought my now-fiancé out to Moniques to pick out her ring. She loves it and couldnt be any happier with it. You could tell that Monique and her staff took genuine joy in seeing us get engaged. They care about their customers and it shows. So fast forward to last month: my fiancé attended the twin cities bridal show with her mother. Among the many vendors there, she came across Moniques table. While Monique herself was busy helping other customers, my fiancé entered a slip in the contest to win a $4000 diamond ring. When she came home, she told me she had seen Monique and even entered a contest - "even though of course I wont win," she told me. Then on Valentines Day she got an email from Monique informing her that her name was drawn at random and she won the diamond ring! We were ecstatic. We returned to Moniques shop to collect her prize. (The instant we walked through the front door, Monique examined my fiances engagement ring and even remembered it specifically, then had her assistant clean and polish it while we shopped.) Since she already has a lovely ring, Monique let her pick out any ring she wanted, up to the original $4000 prize. So they looked and looked and my fiancé picked one out. But it was $4500, not $4000. Monique said thats fine, Ill give you the more expensive ring, no extra charge. No kidding! She just gave us $500 extra! And she gave us great advice on caring for and protecting both diamond rings we have got there. I highly recommend this jeweler. They care about their customers over the long haul and they dont charge high prices, though the quality of their merchandise is top of the line. Monique will take care of any jewelry needs you have. We will return when my soon-to-be bride gets another itch that only a top-quality diamond can scratch.

Monique worked with me for weeks to find the perfect engagement ring. I probably spoke with her on the phone 30 times before even meeting her in person. I finally got to visit the store (which is gorgeous) with my fiancee and were able to get our rings fitted. The store had actually been closed since it was a sunday, but Monique took the time out of her day to come meet with us exclusively. Monique is a wonderful business owner and pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Monique and will continue to use her exclusively for any future jewelry endeavors! UPDATE: Our wedding is in May, and we met with Monique once again, and per usual we had an amazing experience! We were able to trade in our 18k white gold engagement for a style that my fiance found much more appealing.. It was actually a platinum band with a curved design and held 1/3 carats of diamonds in the band. She took our old ring back and told us that she would personally solder on our main diamond to the side of the curve to create a completely one of a kind ring! She also did this at a price that would beat any other competitors by at least double! The ring turned out absolutely incredible and the best part is that her ring is completely unique to her! She also gave us a $400 discount on my wedding band, which allowed me to get a much higher grade 18k yellow gold band that is absolutely beautiful! She also engraved it for free. I highly recommend Monique to any person looking for the best customer service and the best quality of products! Monique is the real deal and I will always go to her for any future jewelry needs. Her quiet little shop in downtown Wayzata is so welcoming and quickly turned me off to ever even considering going to a large chain jewelry store! Thank you so much Monique! I wish I could post pictures of the rings because theyre absolutely flawless and completely unique!

Monique is wonderful! My husband and I initially went to her to look at wedding bands. She helped us find beautiful wedding bands within our budget. We loved them and got them for a very reasonable price. I already had my engagement ring, which had a tanzanite stone in it. I LOVED my tanzanite ring, but it was already showing some scratches and damage, as the stone is much softer than a diamond. Monique offered us a much better option: she said that she could find a tanzanite colored sapphire that looked just like my tanzanite and replace the stone. Since a sapphire is stronger than tanzanite, it would hold up much better than the tanzanite in a ring. She said that shed put the original stone in a necklace so that I could still wear it and it would likely last forever, whereas on the ring it would likely break eventually. I hired her to do this for me and was extremely happy with the outcome. My new ring looked even more beautiful than it had before and Monique designed a custom necklace to match my ring identically! The necklace was stunning, she had cleaned up my original tanzanite stone so that it was scratch free and back to its original beautiful color. I could not have been happier with what Monique did for us. She is obviously very educated in her field and she is also a very genuine and generous person. I feel like I got the best product possible at a very affordable price. I believe that Monique loves to see her clients happy and particularly make brides happy. I will definitely go back to Monique in the future for any nice jewelry that I need and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for wedding / engagement bands or any other nice jewelry. I can confidently say that she is one of the best in her field.
