When I first moved to neighborhood 3+ years ago, I loved this store. The salespeople were knowledgeable, took you to the exact area where items were, explained things and never made me feel stupid. Something has happened this past year or so................. Now, if I come into the store there are often 2 or 3 young guys standing around the cash register, talking, texting, whatever~ If I ask where something can be found, Im told "go down Aisle 7".....then Im on my own. Are they too busy to walk me there and help me find it? I have stopped going there, frankly- Ive found another ACE a little closer in St. Paul (Dale and Front) where they still take the time to really assist a sometimes clueless shopper. Sorry, but this store has lost my business. Manager needs to train staff to make a customer feel special, not dismissed.

Went in to buy 10 wood screws for an Ikea table. Customer rep was really helpful and walked me to the exact aisle where I found the #8 1/2" screws and was out in a matter of minutes. Will definitely stop by again next time instead of driving all the way to the other bigger hardware stores.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Ace Hardware store! The guys are always helpful, and knowledgeable, and I like to support my neighborhood businesses. New lighting makes it nice and bright, the store is always clean, and popcorn is free!
