Today around 2:30 PM (5/24/2015) I was at Home Depot gathering a couple items: plants and paint. While in the paint department I came in contact with Helen, who was extremely rude, and proceeded to act like she didnt want to help me. I brought my paint up to the counter with the color I had picked and she said in a very disrespectful tone, do you have a color picked you want? At this point Im just floored because, one- seriously? Thats how you talk to customers and ask them if they need any assistance? and two- she portrayed someone who didnt really seem like they wanted to be at work, as if she was annoyed she even had to help me.. After her doing whatever on the computer she told me that because my paint was too dark Id have to get the paint that cost almost $10.00 more. She said, Well if youre so set on that color then YAH you have to get this kind otherwise you NEED to change colors.. I asked her to show me where the paint was.. so she made me wait for another 5 minutes while she helped someone else and talked to her co-worker Patty, then finally brought me over to the paint that I had to get with the color I wanted. I asked again if she was sure I couldnt get a cheaper costing paint with my color. She said Nope. Rude again. Then while waiting for the paint to be made Patty and Helen decided that it was more important for them to chat about whatever instead of being presentable in front of customers... This is the second time that Ive come to this Home Depot and had completely rude service in the paint department. This is completely disappointing to deal with when I originally had thought that Home Depot was about great service. Im better off going to Menards if thats how the employees of Home Depot prefer to be.

DO NOT ORDER INSTALLATION SERVICES FROM THIS STORE! I went online and scheduled a measurement to have blinds installed then went to the store to look at the color swatches. The store forced me to cancel the online order and start a new order through them because they have conflicting 3rd party services. How does a store conflict with its own corporate? After measurements were done Im still getting calls from the online people because the store never cancelled the order. Meanwhile, my credit card was charged twice. Ive spent hours on the phone so I could cancel the online order just to get told by the store that the measurements they have cannot be used to purchase my blinds online. I explained I get 15% cashback through my employers partnership online and I need to make the order online. The store would not share the measurements and then the lady hung up on me!!! Ive never ever heard of a store that competes with its own website, this is just ridiculous! Now both orders are cancelled and I still have to deal with disputing the unauthorized charges in my credit card. Never again!!!!!!!

Ive had good and bad experience with this store. When I was able to talk to employees for the most part they were very helpful (when i caught them working alone- or occasionally they would approach me (we are redoing our basement so Im here often). Some went above and beyond which was great. But there was a handful of times there would be 2 or more employees standing in a aisle talking, with me looking lost and they waited to me to come interrupt their personal conversation to actually help me (a lot of these were very unhelpful). We did order a bathtub for them to deliver it. It was delivered over a week late, and 1 of my 6 phone calls someone actually gave me more information then, yep 2 more days or something very vague like that....

This store is completely under staffed. I went there to get 1 gallon of paint for my pet store in DT St. Paul and waited for about 10 mins. before being greeted and then waited another 20 mins before walking out. When leaving a told the woman at the door that they needed more people back in the paint dept and she seemed to care less. Being a huge corporation you would think this company would hire more responsive staff. Home Depot has become too big for its own good. Lowes just a block away is a much better experience dont bother going to this Home Depot. Brett

The prices are good and selection of products is great but I dont feel the staff is as specialized and knowledgeable in the trades as they used to be. Having said that they are usually very friendly if you can find someone when you need help. My one major gripe about Home Depot is the dependency on the self checkouts, they are a pain in the butt and Id much rather have a real person scan my products and say thank you when I leave. I enjoy that! Open up more regular checkouts please!

Went in looking for a basic humidity sensor.. Walked around for 5 minutes looking lost then finally went to customer service who directed me to the grill aisle, where grill thermometers were the only thing even remotely in the vicinity of what I was looking for. Not very helpful. They may have actually had what I needed but Ill never know. Left and went to Lowes.

Im really upset caz, I buy a floor coating kid, and when I drove back to my business place I saw the box was open box someone returned and the bottom of box was really dirty its look like someone stored to a wet place or maybe outdoor so I wasted my time driving back forward to homedepot, never put back a returned items at the shelf if they dont look right. .

Stopped by Home Depot today to return an item and lets just say Kris was in a very bad mood. Not sure what was bugging him today but he was the complete opposite of customer service. I know Home Depot will be fine without my business, but I was very interested in purchasing over $1000 in flooring from them and now considering going elsewhere.

Needed to buy ONE tile, which they sold individually. Took them 5 minutes to find a price, the sku didnt work, and apparently a $0.65 open ring requires manager approval. Judging from the 10 minutes it took him to get to the counter, he must have had to drive over from another store. And nope, no apology. Less useful than a bag of hammers.

Every time I come to this store, I usually leave with nothing. I could never find a straight board. I was told they all cant be straight, I probably sifted threw 20 boards. I just went there again looking for corrugated steel, that the website said was in stock, it was not. In this store you cant get diddly squat.

The people are always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Weve started a variety of DIY projects around our home the past couple of years and we never feel stupid asking questions. Would go there for the service over Lowes or Menards any day..However the prices are a little bit higher..

They always have really helpful employees. Its not like menards where you cannot find a single employee to ask for help. But its also a little bit more price at home depot than menards

Not up to normal Home Depot standards. Only one person asked if he could be of help but he seemed annoyed when I said what I wanted. I hope Home Depot has not changed their standards.
