DO NOT PRINT HERE. This is why... A few months ago I went in for the first time to print my modeling comp cards. Because I knew I would be printing some every month, the associate at the print counter said it would be cheaper for me to buy a ream of card stock and have them print on "my" paper. With his help, I bought a large package of heavy card stock and printed what I needed, about 15 sheets, and he gave me a paperboard box to hold the rest (~150 sheets) of my paper. I was a happy customer. A month after that I went in to print more comp cards, I brought in about 10-20 sheets of the paper I purchased previously, and the same associate was there. He printed what I needed, I was again a happy customer. Today, I go with some more of that paper, and a different associate was behind the counter. She informed me that without the packaging of the original ream of paper, she could not print because she doesnt know what weight it is and if its compatible with their laser jet printers. I told her that when I purchased the ream of paper, the associate picked it out for me but threw away the packaging and gave me a box to put my paper in. She again said she could not print for me. I have no way of "proving" that my paper is laser jet compatible, and no way of knowing what weight it is, because the first associate messed up and threw my packaging away. There was "nothing" they could do for me. So this is how they make their money - convince you to buy their paper, and then tell you they cant print on it. Because THEY messed up, I now have over a hundred sheets of heavy card stock I cant use myself because I have an ink printer. She stressed that "all associates" are "trained" to give the packaging back to the customer, or tape it to the box. I am looking at my box and its not taped to my box. Nor did the first associate tell me I would need my packaging. They cannot "believe" the customer when they say their paper is laser jet compatible, so for fear of ruining their printers they cannot print for me. I will be bringing the rest of my paper to FedEx/Kinkos where they will believe me when I tell them I have laser jet compatible paper. I will no longer shop at Staples - there are lots of other stores out there offering the exact same products without a policy that says their customers are liars.

I ordered calendars online. I was disappointed in the options. The photo layouts were limited. The ability to edit photos (zoom in/out, move photo focal point, etc) was limited & there was no option to add events (ex: birthdays) - the standard stuff thats available at musty personalized calendar websites. The paper quality was shameful. It was nearly paper. There was a card stock option as well but it wasnt available for same-day. Besides, with the limited personalization & edit options, I wouldnt have wanted to spend more with this store anyway. I ordered the calendars in the evening. I went in to pick them up the next day, about an hour and a half after they opened. I tried calling before going but was told that the associate was helping another customer. My info was taken for a callback. I ran some errands to allow for time for the call; it never came. I went in & was told that they have until 7pm to fulfill the order. Of course - NOWHERE on the website states this. Fair enough. The associate then told me that theyd call when the order was done. I went home. Of course I got no call. I checked online under Order Status, which said it was still pending. My blood started boiling because it was after 7pm. I wasnt about to waste another trip out there so I called. Luckily, the associate confirmed that it was done. What an overall cr@p experience.

I have never used Staples for any print production needs. Until today. I forgot to order business cards for an event tomorrow, & on a whim, I thought I might try their same day printing services. And then I got busy at work and forgot again. At 5pm, I finally remembered and called Staples in Woodbury, MN. A very friendly employee named Eden told me they definitely could do that. 45 minutes later, my phone rang. Unfortunately, the business card cutter kept jamming and they would not be able to finish my cards. The offered to call the Roseville, MN location, ask if they were able to fulfill it before close of business and transfer the job. BAM. They did that & completely took care of the logistics for me. I picked my cards up from the Roseville location without any glitches. It was seamless & excellent customer service. THANK YOU! You have a repeat customer, for sure!

Went in to get my monthly supply of office stuff. Like I (used to) do. They refused to take my company issued, owner signed, credit card; that clearly states our company name on it. Then the guy tried to tell stamps are cheaper when I purchased in rolls rather than in books. Wow. He then proceeded to talk badly about me right in front of my face saying "some people just dont understand Minnesota, they shouldnt be here" when another clerk asked how my weekend was and I explained I thought the weather was going to be better. *insert rude employee comment.* What a joke this store and their employees are. I wont be buying my monthly supply of office products from them!

Terrible print service. The first time I printed, I sent in an order for brochures for my buisness. They were all printed on different, random colors of paper. The associate said they didnt know what happened, the order clearly stated to print on blue but the person who did the order didnt work there anymore. They re printed it, took another day, which meant another trip put there, but I decided to give them another try. The next time they printed on cards to call for some reason, charged us for the extra (for cardstock) and since my husband didnt check before he left, we are just stuck with it. We will go somewhere else next time.

I wanted to buy an office chair there, and I was to pay extra to have them assemble it for pick-up the next day. The sales associate (nickname "Steak Sauce") told me not to pay that day, but pay when it was assembled. Nobody called me to say the chair was ready, so when I contacted them, they didnt even have my order, because, according to the manager, I didnt pay ahead of time. Well I tried to pay but Steak Sauce wouldnt let me!! I was put on hold for 30 minutes and hung up in frustration. I will go to some other store to buy what I need...very poor customer service. Luckily Im not out any $$.

We went out of way to drive to the only Staples store open on July 4th which was in Roseville. I needed copies made for work, and I usually go to the store in Bloomington. I asked Eldin in the copy center for help with making 50 B & W copies since the self-service copiers are not as good of quality. He said it is store policy that it would take 24 hours to make the copies and that he was not able to do it while I wait. Meanwhile, there are no other customers in the store. What a waste of time and poor customer service.
