My 17" Macbook Pro fell victim to the fabled discreet graphics card failure which got so much media attention last year. I didnt think it would happen to me, but my laptop randomly quit responding one night, and wouldnt reboot into recovery mode or OSX. After setting up a reservation at their Genius Bar on Apples website, the next day I drove to the mall to have my laptop looked over by the Minnetonka Apple store. I was greeted by friendly and responsive staff who helped me right away, despite it being after 5PM and very busy. After being signed in I was quickly greeted by Suraj, who was very respectful and professional. He immediately got to work on diagnostics while I briefly went over the symptoms of my issues. After repeating the symptoms and confirming the problem with diagnostic tools, Suraj informed me that Apple developed a program to fix the affected laptops experiencing the issue, and they would service it at no cost to me. Even more surprising is that the turnaround time is only 3-5 days! Keep in mind that I purchased the laptop used and it was well past its warranty period. I dont know of another computer manufacturer who would treat their customers with so much respect (I was never spoken down to, nor was my intelligence insulted), and also go out of their way to repair a manufacturer defect years past the warranty limit. I think many companies would ignore the problem and hope it went away. I look forward to receiving my newly serviced Macbook! Hats off to you, Suraj & Apple in Minnetonka! Horrible customer service! My son shattered the screen on his iPhone 6S plus. I called four days ago to schedule an appointment with their Genius Bar to have this repaired. That required a 20 minute phone call. You cant contact the store directly. I ended up talking with a person from Austin, TX. Within 2 minutes of our connection, we were disconnected. He called back 15 minutes later. We showed up at the store for our scheduled appointment (an hour round-trip drive for us). We checked in, only to be told that they didnt have the screen needed in stock to replace my sons screen. Are you kidding me?! How does a store schedule repairs days in advance only to have customers show up and not have the parts on hand to handle said repairs? Guy helping us only shrugged his shoulders. Said he could call another store to see if they had the part in stock. Why would I trust that I would then schedule an appointment with that Apple store, only to show up to find out they are out of stock as well? Gladly went to Batteries Plus to have the same repairs done on the spot for $100 more.

After 3 horrible experiences in the last 6 months at this store, Ive vowed never to step foot in it again. Not only are the employees all but useless but, as another reviewer mentioned, I have always arrived early for my appointments and NEVER waited less than 30 minutes before being helped (30+ minutes after my appointment). Ive heard salespeople blatantly lie to customers about future support for products, Ive witnessed salespeople arguing with customers (the customer was right in both instances), and Ive even been bribed with free $80 headphones after returning to the store after they "fixed my phone" (they in fact broke it, then shortly thereafter replaced it free of charge). Anyway, this place is awful. One of my coworkers just came back from an appointment (he was on time, but was gone for over an hour with all of 10 minutes worth of appointment time) and told everyone around that hes never going back. Nice to see this store is getting whats coming to them.

The Genius Bar saved the rating. The concierge was extremely rude to us, as well as the lady that answered the phone (might have been one and the same). We called them to politely tell them we would be a couple minutes late to our Genius bar appointment (we drove 4 hours for this appointment). The lady promptly cancelled our appointment without telling us. We had to walk the mall for two hours for the next available spot. However, once we were seated at the Genius Bar, we had exceptionally great service. They walked us through what the likely issue was with our old laptop and we left. We came back the next weekend for a wedding and called to find out if it was done. Whoever was on the phone was extremely rude again, but once we got the Genius Bar employees, the service was great and rushed to get our laptop done for us.

Purchased my first Iphone approx. a year ago. Purchased two more and an ipad for other members of my family. My power button on the Iphone 4 started giving me trouble after 9 months and completely stopped functioning after 362 days. Finally found time to get to the Apple store this morning where I was informed that I was 11 days out of warranty. The "genius" informed me that all they could do is sell me a new one, or a used one for $149. I told her that it was under warranty when it began to fail. I told her that this is the 9th cell phone that I have owned and the first one that didnt serve me for more than 2 years without a malfunction. I told her that I wont purchase another Apple product if they wouldnt stand behind this one. All I got was a smirk.

Wanted to thank to the staff at the Apple store for helping my wifes two of the products she owned. IPad & the 5C phone. Katie and Brian worked together as a team to accommodate her needs yet she is Deaf. Katie did her best to interpret while Brian helped on trouble shooting. Yet Katies signing may be that rusty. Hasnt used ASL , American Sign language for a long time. Yet utilizes FS, Fingerspelling. My wife has the patience and gently gives good feedback as well. While I stroll around the Mall for hours and occasionally checks on her. Finally left the store in the afternoon and just in time prior to rush hour.

I had a 1:50 appointment with a genius so I showed up 10 minutes early just in case. When I walked into the store an older gentleman who worked there very politely greeted me right away. He told me to go check in with another lady who was talking to someone else, but very quickly and nicely checked me in and directed me where to go. I waiting only a couple minutes before I met with a genius. He was very helpful, polite, and comical making it a very pleasant experience. I got two problems with my iPod solved in about 10 minutes making my experience there very positive. I have absolutely no complaints. Thanks Apple!!!

ordered online, paid, picked up at the store. order # W287908208. arrived at 7:15pm 11/14/2014 for pick up. checked in and wait. 30 minutes later a sale guy come and ask "are you here for a pick up?" I said "Yes, please" He went to get the iphone, signature and the receipt on the way to my email less then 2 min. wasting 30 mins to checked out an online order (plz send store manager to get training from BestBuy etc...). feel like having a low tech store manager to manage a high tech store? . before name yourself a retailer please schedule a cashier to check out a product that need less then 3 mins.Thanks
