I went to Eyes of Mendota 2 years ago under the previous ownership and management and it was terrible. Truly. Had no intention of ever going back. Then I got a call from the new staff earlier this year informing me of new ownership and management. Decided to give it another try because the location was convenient to my workplace. LOVED IT. So glad I did! The optician was so personable and great and found something that 10 years of other opticians did not! The staff there was so sweet and helpful and made me feel valued which is a rare trait these days as customer service is a dying art. I am so glad I gave them another try! One of the best eye appointments I have had in years!

On the way to lunch in Mendota Heights yesterday, my friend Lorraine mentioned that she needed a new case for her sunglasses. Our parking spot near the restaurant was right in front of Eyes of Mendota, so in we went. The helpful and friendly staff member on duty, Kalyn, found a stylish case that fit Lorraines glasses perfectly -- then told us there would be no charge. We appreciate the kindness shown at Eyes of Mendota and encourage others to give it a look.

The prices are extremely inflated without justification for average frames and lenses. Gina seems to be the only one running the store. She seemed arrogant. The store front looks expensive that might be the reason for overpriced glasses. I could not find any frames under $250.

Very friendly staff; however, I didnt feel my eye exam was done well as I left with a contact prescription that made my vision worse. Once again, theyre very friendly but Im going to get a second opinion as Im not convinced that my vision is as good as we can get it.
