I have had multiple bad experiences at this store, most notably having ordered an exterior door. I was told from the beginning it would take up to 6 weeks to get the door measured, another 6-8 weeks to get the door installed. Well, after we got the door measured (which id say was about 4 weeks later), they told me it was a custom size and i would have to wait 6-8 weeks for them to get the door in. i waited 8 weeks for the door to come in, and received no call. I called the store and was told to call back the next week. Whatever. So i did. To which i was told to call back the next week. Etc. etc. i lost track of how long that took. Finally the door was in (i had to call them to find that out), so i scheduled a time for someone to come install the door about 6 weeks later. The day the door was supposed to be installed, Home Depot calls me and says the door is the wrong size, and is about 3 inches less wide than the door i ordered. They said they could install it this way and that it would just be a tight squeeze....um, no thank you, i want the door i ordered. She said they could expedite the order and that i should see the new door come in in about 2 weeks, which it did, and i had to call to find out. Then i scheduled the install for about 3 weeks out, at which time we FINALLY had a door. NOT worth the hassle. Next time I will go to Menards.

I ordered granite countertops on 8/11/2016 and was told I would receive a phone call in a few days to get a measurement. No one ever called, I waited until 8/30 and had to call myself to see what was going on. They did not offer any compensation for being so late and was told to call the installers. I did and they also said the same thing. So I went to HD to return and talked with the manager that handles the returns. He said he could do something but would need a day to look it over and he will call tomorrow. So I waited two more days without contact. The installers called to take measurements is all but I declined because there wasnt a resolution yet and I know they charge for measurements to try to force the order with no discounts. At this point I went back after work and returned my order. The manager in duty offered me 300 dollars off, sounds nice but is nothing for the money I was spending. Around 7% off. After all the money I have spent there over the last two years and with much reminding left to do I will go elsewhere forever. If they would have just called me themselves instead of me having to track them down for a expensive order I would have accepted. What a terrible experience and management there.

I was looking to buy a clearance model Samsung dryer and I wanted to talk to the manager in the appliance department on the price of the dryer. A guy named Steve showed up and asked me if I had any questions. Him and I talked and I offered $300 dollars for the dryer which was for $390 on clearance. He flat out told me no, we dont do that here and I felt like as if I was treated like a less respected person because I offered him $90 dollars less for the dryer; and keep this in mind, the dryer had scratches all over it and had a few dings. He told me there was a 60 days return policy but than quickly changed it to 14 days. Like WTF man, your the manager and you should remember that I customer is always right. If you go to the HomeDepot on white bear ave, dont go to Steve, hes a racist or he only like white people; and this is true. Steve didnt even look like a manager; and had no professional way of talking to a manager. In short, dont go to racist Steve.

My boyfriend and I began the process of carpet installation with Home Depot a couple of weeks ago. We put down a deposit, picked out and ordered carpet, and had one the your associates come out to measure the space. We received a phone call today stating that the install cannot be completed because of the asbestos tile underneath. We did not know that this was asbestos tile, however, it is my understanding from doing research that it is more of a hazard to remove this tile than it is to leave it and carpet over it. But I completely understand and respect that they cannot complete the job. The issue I have is that we cannot get our deposit back. Now we have lost both time and money in this process. On top of it, the store refused to give me the measurements that they took, saying that Home Depot owns those numbers. I was really disappointed in the poor service and communication we received. I hope they can serve future customers better.

In general, I love Home Depot and find that they offer great service. But I am really frustrated with my Home Depot experience at this store for a few reasons. First, I went in to get some cabinet refacing pricing and the person helping me scheduled an appointment for an in-home consultation on Monday. Monday came - I planned my day around the appointment and no one showed up. Whats more, no one had any record of my appointment ever being made. When I was finally able to get it rescheduled, the sales person came out to my home and we talked for an hour before she told me that the pricing would be $7,500 for our extremely small kitchen, when the representative in the store had told me $2,000-$5,000. I would have never followed through with the appointment if I knew how expensive it actually was. As a fan of Home Depot, I am very disappointed with this whole experience.

Im not sure what their deal is...it seems like anytime I want to make a big purchase at this place there isnt a soul in orange to offer assistance. The last few times Ive been there Ive had to ask three or four times for assistance. They make it so hard to buy anything. Once I wanted to buy a patio set and the only help I could get was from the key making dude and he was clueless. Once I got someone from the actual department they didnt know where the patio set inventory was located in the store. It took 45 min for someone to locate it...no one knew where they put it..wtf?! Thats on me for not leaving 20 min into my conversations with the key making guy. Pretty sure they have a mgmt issue at this location. Im sure this isnt the case with all Home Depots. Id recommend heading down 36 a little further for menards or lowes. Avoid this location if possible.

Horrible customer service. I want two new doors installed so I have to get the doors measured. Whoever they contact with (Will leave name here) only works from 9am-5pm from Mondays-Fridays. Like seriously? Why do you only work those hours? Majority of people work those hours. Then the employee who was on the phone with me recommended me to take my own time off. So Im losing more of my time and money to get doors installed? Im spending $2000 on doors and this is the respect I get? Ive easily spent over $10k at this store and this is how they respect their customers?! I dont have time to take work off! I AM A BUSY MAN!
