My dad and I bought 20 fence panels and 22 fence posts at this store. We asked if someone in the lumber yard would be out there to help assist in loading and they said yes, but ultimately there wasnt. We loaded the 22 posts first, by ourselves, and went over to the panels. We lifted the first one up and the board snapped like a twig. The panel under that we hadent touched but was busted up as well. I walked across the yard to get a worker and asked what people thought of the panels and he laughed and said he didnt know. We then asked him why there were only 10 here, when we bought 20. He said the computer was wrong and that this is all they had. So we paid for 10 nonexistent panels. We decided that because the panels were such low quality, we didnt want the posts either, thus began the process of unloading the 22 8feet posts. Again, by ourselves. The return process was pretty easy, but the workers were terrible. I explained to each of the 3 people who handled our return the situation. I.e. Im not returning these out of the blue. Im returning them because of the poor quality. The first girl said nothing, the second guy (a manager) just said "Yikes" and the third, front end manager, swiped her authorization card and walked away without so much as a "Sorry this didnt work out." In conclusion we spent $1,025 (initially) and about an hour of our time loading and unloading heavy things only to have it not work out and to be treated as if we were the ones inconveniencing them.

Much better than Home Depot next door. I purchase a new washer and dryer. Better prices, items are in stock for immediate delivery. However, I do not like the 11% rebate gimmic - how about just giving a 11% discount off the price. Such a waste of precious resources and time of all involved - its a pity that big companies like Menards cant realize that our personal time, the resources of the post office, and all the staff at Menards would do better without this circus affair to recover the 11%. Opposite of sustainability on the 11% rebate, only a gimmic to cheat customers of the 11% when they dont comply with the small prints.

They charge a dollar for each cut. So, to get a 10ft board cut into two 5ft boards costs $1.00. The first two cuts at Home Depot (right next door) are free after that it costs $0.25 per cut. The 10ft board itself was the same price. The process at Menards is find the board (no one to help). Go to the lumber counter to get a work order and Bill for the cut. Then go half way the length of the store to a checkout and pay for the cut and the board. Then find the cutting station black at the lumber end of the store to get it cut. Menards apparently doesnt understand customer service.

Called to see about getting a quote for flooring. Had to call multiple departments just to get someone on the phone. Asked them to transfer me to flooring and sat and waited for ten minutes with no one answering as the phone rang and no one ever picked back up to see what was going on. A simple voicemail service would have been perfect so I could leave a message for them to get back to me when someone was free OR check to see if someone in that department was available to talk to me before transferring me would also have been a stroke of genius.

Poor experience at the building materials counter. I had a delivery restriction because a relatively fresh driveway couldnt take the weight of a flat truck. The guy originally handing the transaction turned around and said he didnt want to deal with this transaction. Pretty rude, I can hear you know. Luckily the guy I got punted to knew how to arrange delivery by pickup. So Home Depot would have been $30 more, but honestly I quit using Menards building services desk.

I went to this store for a side by side refrigerator and found three employees near the dept. told them we are here for the fridge and they just pointed and said there are over there and went back to talking with each other! No Help at all! you cant just grab 1 and walk it to the register! It shouldnt matter if Im there for an $800 fridge or an $.80 light switch cover you are supposed to be there to help customers!

We have Never been treated soooooo rudely before .We asked where to find the holders to hang up a mirror...Two employees were standing near the display (we did not realize the mounts were there...Right where they are standing talking)One takes off down the aisle without saying a word .Then the other employee takes off walking at a amazing clip(we thought.of great he knows where the mounts are.

I have remodeled my home using mostly items and material from the Hudson store and find that they are very helpful if you just ask for help.. They want to sell you what you need, and not like the two other big home building stores, where the workers are always trying to sell you a higher priced item. Of course you have to know a little bit about what your plans, wants, and abilities are.

Went there for 5 items to roof a small shed with a list from the roofer. I was there for an hour and a half walking and driving from one end of the store to the other over and over and no one was helpful or nice. A terrible terrible experience and I WILL NEVER shop there again. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot. They are not perfect but at least they try to help you.

The staff are a lot of teen agers, but they do an adequate job. they have products ranging from inexpensive that will work for a while to top/near top of the line. Prices fit the product. 11% rebate is also nice, but I dont shop there unless they have the 11%. All and all a good place to shop for home improvement.

Bought two chainsaws there & returned them both. The first ran for ten minutes, and the second one, newly exchanged for the first, never ran at all. Went to Ace Hardware in River Falls, bought a Stihl, and have put dozens of hours on it since.

They have everything you will need, but customer service stinks due to high turnover rate and low wages. Dont expect to be helped if you need some. Over all I still come here more that home depot due to prices, and a much larger inventory.

Mothers Day weekend 2017, almost EVERY flower and plant, in absolute horrible condition! And Menards asking full price for them? How absurd! Home depot had the best for a box store..Menards, shame on you! Disgraceful!

This is the place i normally go to for everything that i need for my home. Fair prices and always a quick check out process. I really like the variety that Menards has and the layout is easy to navigate for me.

The young man, Jake, who helped me with my purchase and loading 10 heavy buckets of driveway sealer very effectively communicated how pleased he was to be of service. "What a neat deal," I thought, win-win.
