I thought they were a good company here but Im a guy who spends twenty to thirty thousand dollars a year in their store they came up and locked me out a couple minutes before closing before they even announce the store being closed on the overhead I slap in the face for a consumer we spent a boatload of money at their store I think thats pretty carpy and manager brad you better do something about it thats Fd up. Ah I just was a de aware that Brad no longer manages this store now I see the problem. When Brad was there he would have never allowed that. But the new management encourages it. Sorry Brad my bad. They need to clear out current management except for Eric who does a hell of a job. Everyone else has to go as the act like giving customer service isnt needed if they dont want to. Lost my loyalty to this outlet not all menards as its still my go to store. Just avoid cottage grove if at all possible unless eric is working.

Yes, Menards struggles with their summer help - but I have been working on a big DIY project and have been in Menards 20 times over last 3 months. The store has been great in helping me answer questions, delivery, returns and carrying everything I need. Why would anyone shop at the other big box DIY retailers and hope they have what is needed when Menards carries more than anyone else (even the cheese puffs) - and in stock. When doing a big project, the last thing I have interest in is driving from store to store to get my materials. Thanks Menards.

Recently I came into a bit of money and wanting to invest and save it for spending on a large purchase at a future time, I decided upon hearing Menards promise of "Saving Big Money" I decided to invest at Menards. I was sadly disappointed to discover that despite my willingness to think of things with great friendliness and an open mind, no investment brokers were available to speak with during my visit. Alas, I yearn to save my big money, thus I will return, hopefully when one is available.

They tried to charge me a deposit for some shingle samples when I do half a million dollars in business with Menards. They said get charged for the samples from the manufacturer. That is a lie, I,as a small contractor can call GAF or any other shingle company and get them for free. I would recommend shopping at another Menards or Home Depot in Cottage Grove if you appreciate customer loyalty and honesty.

Rebates are a lame. I know lots of people go through all the work but in todays age, you know and I know its really about the fact that people get excited and never turn them in. Get with technology Menards, turn it into instant store credit and you file all the paper work. Big win for Menards. With that said, they do have an awesome staff here, to bad it wasnt another chain.

I asked to speak with The General Manager and i was transferred to the front end manager. once i asked to speak with the GM of the store I was hung up on. Nancy was just the rudest person that didnt help a bit!!! called another location and they told me that they were wrong and must not understand that u always try to help a customer... NEVER AGAIN HOME DEPOT from now on

Lumber yard was a messy disaster area. Barely able to drive back to get our boards. Forklift driver almost ran over my husband because he was on his phone while running the forklift and going way to fast. When I expressed my concerns, the blew my off . Said its Friday what did I expect! I will be contacting corporate!

I have had mixed experiences at this store. I was in the store tonight shopping. I had some questions about custom windows. Joe C answered all my questions. Cottage Grove Store changed my attitude to Menards! Very friendly and super helpful staff. Also offered to take my heavy items to my car. Had only been to Apple Valley store before, where you can never find anyone to help, and if you do mange to find them, they are not helpful.

If you cant find it at Menards or Fleet farm, chances are you dont need it! With the exception of pizza delivery and Abdallah Chocolates!
