This review applies to the tool rental/tool repair area of the store. I dropped off a floor sander on 09/20/2014 with a man named Keith. The floor sander was not working. It was a previously Home Depot owned floor sander that Home Depot advised they could repair. I was not given a time frame for said repair (rotary drum was not functioning). Keith advised me he would call me if they price was over $100 and see what I, as the customer, wanted to do. He also advised if they price was under $100, they would just fix and call me when finished One week passed and I called on 09/27/2014 asking for a status. I spoke with someone who handed the phone to Keith and I was told the problem has been narrowed down to two possibilities, but it is going to take until the end of the week to finish. I expressed my understanding, thanked, and hung up. Two weeks later (10/11/2014) I called once more for a status update. I spoke with an "Otto" who knew about the situation with the floor sander and handed the phone to Keith. Keith advised me the issue was with the motor (which he told me three weeks ago) and or a capacitor issue (also advised three weeks ago). He advised me that day that he would get right on it. I asked if there was anything I could do to help. He advised, "No." It is now 10/19/2014 and I have not heard hide nor hair from anybody. Not once have I been contacted. I was not given any piece of paper for my own records. I was not given an email receipt option. I dropped this piece of equipment off in full confidence the problem would be resolved in a timely manner. Plan of action from here: I am calling on 10/20/2014 for a status (Keiths hours, from what Im aware is Tues-Sat). I expect a response and a price (a considerably discounted price at this point). If no price, or an unacceptable price is given to me, I will be coming into the store on 10/25/2014. I will speak to a manager only and expect an outcome. Im very disappointed in the tool rental/tool repair service during these last four weeks.

I used to like them but I just had a bad experience with their customer service. I have 1 year warranty on my plant and it somehow died. So, I returned it according to the return policy and I get a lecture from the service lady. She talked down to me like I was stupid or didnt know anything about plants. Its simple! Just give me my money or not!! I dont need an attitude coming from customer service. Keep your opinion to yourself! I hope they have a recording of what she said. If thats how you run a business, Ill take it elsewhere. Ive purchased many goods for my own business but I guess Ill rethink where I shop.

This place is hell !!! I had carpet order from them and they been told that I dont have to worry about furniture moving also they have big sign front of store . When installation people came to my house they say we dont cover your all furniture then do dont move your unfold bed then I called store to figure out about that issue one of manager I thing her name Lisa she said we do basic furniture moving she couldnt explain to me what is the definition of basic furniture move . I think they are service is sucks I would tell everyone do not buy carpet from them if you interested about furniture moving .

I contacted the customer service department to see if they could take a phone order for paint that I would pay for right away and have someone else pick them up as I am laid up with back issues. The Maple Grove store said they could not take phone orders for paint. I then called the Plymouth store and they said not a problem. Maple Grove has now made things more difficult as the Plymouth location is not as convenient. The person picking up will now have to go out of their way during rush traffic to pick up the paint for me. Not impressed with Customer Service in Maple Grove.

Today was the 10th time so far this year Ive been to this location and its the 10th time their inventory was wrong and was forced to waste more time going elsewhere. Consistently are out of stock on items stated to have PLENTY in stock, and even worse, they consistently have the wrong items in place of the correct item but the wrong items are the ones counted for their inventory. The entire store is screwed up all over in every department. Even their overstock is incorrect or misplaced. This was the last time I will be here and will have to double my distance because of it.

Im a contractor. I shop the home stores at least twice a day. Out of all the stores I shop at Home Depot has to be the worst. If I come in for 5 items, Im lucky to leave with three. They dont stock the shelves well. Even when the app says its in stock at the store youre in several times they cannot even find the product. About a third of the time I come to Home Depot I leave empty-handed. Today I came in to buy galvanized pipe to finish the plumbing job. I can need custom sizes. The pipefitter cut pipe cutter is broken. Remind me again why did I stop here!

Called to verify if they have "Japanese beetle trap" at 6:30AM, store employee said YES, 15 in stock but wont put aside 5 of them at service desk. I called again at 2:30PM to make sure if they still have it and "YES we have 15 in stock". I arrived 45 mins later found NONE left, this was out of stock long ago. I think they just tried to get people in store so they can by other things instead. Bad practice.

I purchased carpet at a reasonable price and they handled the installation last November. The install was terrible! very poor workmanship.....I am disappointed. I have not yet shampooed it and I am afraid all the seams will come apart. I can see where the seams are and they did a patch job in my living room, which is coming up. I would not recommend having them install carpet for you.

An hour and a half to bring a lawnmower outside after purchasing. What a joke. Its August, your employees should have done this X # of times by now. Not only did it take an hour and a half for them to get the mower ready, they installed the steering wheel backwards. How incompetent do you have to be to not know left from right?

It seems this Home Depot gets things before other ones. I went to this one and bought some stuff in plumbing and then went back for more at a different Home Depot the next day and they didnt know what I was talking about. This was a while ago and the one that didnt know what I was talking about has gotten the items as well.

As far as Home Depots go, it is one of the better ones. Typically not a huge crowd there, although it is getting busier. I usually find what I am looking for, although it is on the smaller end of Home Depots. The help there is usually excellent and you can tell they have experience in their respective fields.
