I concur with all of the other low star reviews on here regarding the Riverdale Gamestop location -- the staff at this location are very unprofessional. I went there once to return an item purchased at another Gamestop location, and after waiting in line for 10 min, the first thing the employee did was complain to me about how they are getting killed that day with returns from other stores -- like its my fault or my job to do something about it. He continued to have a sulking attitude for the duration of my transaction -- I was planning on doing some shopping and spending more money there after returning that item, but that employee made me just want to leave and go to the Northtown location. I have patroned many Gamestop locations in MN and regularly visit about 4-6 of them currently -- this one is by far the worst I have ever been to. Like others have said, the few extra minutes of driving to the Northtown location is definitely worth it. Much nicer and professional staff.

I was very upset leaving here today I bought my 7 year old son a used batman xbox 360 game. While I was being checked out mark a team lead might I add who checked me out was extremely rude pushy and unprofessional when I declined wanting to upgrade my membership after telling him no thanks he continued to push me I said no again he said fine your choice and shook his head. Then he AGAINNN pushed it on me finally my mom said no its for a 7 year old child that barely plays video games and he actually had the nerve to say "so 7 year Olds dont cost money" he said it because the membership would have took money off the game but I didnt have the 15 dollars extra to sign up bit that wasnt his business to even know that. I will never come back to this game stop again. I get its your job to try and sell stuff but that was beyond uncalled for very rude unprofessional and coming from a person in sales not how you should treat declining customers.

I would give it no stars if I had the option. I was looking for a 3ds game, I asked an employee if they had a used copy of one. He responded sarcastically that he doesnt have their whole inventory memorized but hands me a copy and says but this one says used on it so that should mean its a used copy. I called him a dick and told him there was no need for that sarcastic ass attitude and he refused service to me and told me to go to Best Buy instead. I went to other gamestops around and they said they have heard similar complaints about the coon Rapids one. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to the north town one, far better service there.

Pretty douchey sales rep I came in asking for a mario kart 8 deluxe said he didnt think they had it if I didnt pre order since a lot ppl did and told me thats why if you really want a game you pre order it and went on about how nintendo goes by this and that meanwhile Im just waiting for him to hurry up and check easy as that they did have it which I figured. He tried to seem like he knew it all....

To put it simply the worker there is an A-hole!! His name is JR or JT or some other initial...he was rude seemed annoyed with just being there. Never completed my transaction and was pushy about the member upgrade and tried to make me feel as if Im making a mistake not getting it. He needs to get a new job! I will not ever go back to that store again.

Im not going to say dont go here but I will say do your research. I was looking at 3 different games for the ps4 and all cost more than new. For example the game plants vs. zombies garden warfare 2 new from any other store is about $20, they wanted (for the same game) $45 for a used copy. This was pretty much the same for all games I checked on.

The employee culture seems like it is very high pressure here. They are very pushy about pre-orders,their rewards card, warranties, donating to whatever charity they support, and tradeins. Plan on spending 5 minutes at the register no matter what you buy because they are going to ask you for a million different things.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff who care about their jobs and want to give you a memorable experience in your gaming. Highly recommended whether you know what you want or are just looking for a suggestion or new games to try. Also a very clean store, professional, and good amount of stock on hand.

Best Gamestop in HISTORY good knowledgeable staff that are very friendly and always make conversation when they can. I have been going here for a while but their new manager makes it 1000000 times better. I will go out of my way to hit this store instead of others!!!

This is my gaming store I have been visiting it for years I buy 99.9% of my gaming stuff from them! The staff is awesome. I will continue to shop there for many years to come. Also now that GameStop bought thinkgeek its even more amazing!
