As I was walking through the store, I saw HUGE red signs that said 50% off. The items had already been marked down. I checked the fine print and it said that the markdown would be taken at the register. I was so excited! On sale and then another 50% off! I had my basket full. As I was talking to an employee, she mentioned that the store already took the markdown on the "sale" tag and there was no additional markdown at the register. She even said that she knew the signs were misleading. When I told her that they needed to cross the fine print out, she told me that they cant. I mentioned that she needs to let her management know that customers dont like that and she basically said they dont care. BAD MARKETING! VERY MISLEADING! How many people get to the register and either dont realize that the additional 50% isnt taken off, or feel pressured to buy since they are already standing there? BAD BUSINESS! BTW, I then proceeded to empty my basket and put things back.
