Ive been a Brooklyn Park Wal-Mart shopper for 10 years and its progressively become worse. The people in the parking lot are rude and stop in the middle of the lot to let people out/pick them up, its always packed even at 11pm, the greeters are awful and are basically just wannabe security-they size you up and alert you to department 50 if you look sketchy and when you leave, no matter who you are, they want to search your cart. Its a joke. Im no racist, I have several friends of all kinds of backgrounds and races, colors and religions-however, if you go there be warned that if you are white you will be the minority. Now, typically thats not even worth mentioning, except for the way you get treated. Ive been treated terrible by african-american people at that location so many times that I wont even go there anymore. Ive been hung up on when calling about items (that is when they actually answer), people bump into you, give you terrible looks, they ask you for gas money in the parking lot, theyre loud and obnoxious and most of the time just dont care that they are in a public environment thats meant for more than just them. My kid sister made a stop there one morning before work. An older african-american guy said he thought her cart was his and apologized. He then began to harass her extensively. After she finally walked away, he followed her around. Later, she noticed him peaking at her from around a corner. Needless to say that was enough for her. She left. The worst part, as she was leaving he walked out with nothing in his hands and no cart. He waved to her as she drove away and he rushed to his car. She took off out of there and ran a red light on Highway 81 just to escape him (she almost called the police, but was just relieved to be rid of the situation). If you have the time, skip the Brooklyn Park Wal-Mart and head on down 94 to the Maple Grove Wal-Mart. It has the same selection and you wont have anywhere near the issues. Good luck and happy shopping. *as I stated above, this is not a racial issue, just the truth of it is that all of my bad experiences over a 10 year period have come from people that werent of my race. Simple as that. **Aside from the pharmacy. The pharmacy department has always been top notch. Theyre helpful, kind, respectful, and always have things in order. They were my pharmacy for those 10 years and I still occasionally go to them to say hello or if I need a refill on something & I need a recommendation on a certain product and dont want any sales pitches.

This place hasnt changed a bit in the last however many years, Awful customer service, topped off by panhandlers both inside the store and in the parking lot. And if you ever need to call them good luck! In the off chance you happen to get someone to pick up the phone dont expect them to be of any help whatsoever! Just recently I called looking to see if there were a set of Hair Clippers in stock, i even gave them the UPC number. Simple right? just plug the numbers in almost any terminal there to check the stock. Nope, I get transferred to PRODUCE first. I inform the guy that Im looking for a set of hair clippers and that the operator seemed to have sent me to the wrong department, he was understanding and polite (shockingly) but sadly not smart enough to transfer me to the proper department. I then spoke with electronics, where the lady was just obnoxious when i told her I was sent to the wrong department. She transferred me to General Merchandise where the lady thought i was looking for pet grooming supplies, again i stated no. At this point i got pretty fed up with the run around and told her fairly snappy like that im looking for a WAHL ChromePro Hair cutting kit for HUMANS. If the lady i spoke to reads this I apologize because you were the only one to transfer me to the correct department. I then speak with Health and Beauty. and told the lady politely i might add, that Im looking for a particular product and i have the UPC code available. she didnt want the code and asked what the product was. i told her and then she asked what color as they have quite a variety of just for men colors. I spoke much slower at this point while still being polite and told her again. she goes OHHH Okay i think we do let me check. Click. so after 5 minutes of getting the run around i get hung up on. sure the store may look nice but its still just a polished turd

A lot of comments irritate me. I currently work at this location and its far better than most. If the store is dirty its obecause the shoppers make it so... People put things they dont want any and every where to keep from walking back to where they got it from to put it back! Knocking things down and wont pick it up. We understand you dont work here, but dont make our job harder! If you dont like crowdsor lines then shop earlier or later. Dont Complain about long lines when you know its going to be busy MidDay. I cant speak for others customer service I can only speak for myself and everyone who comes through my line leaves smiling! We deal with and put up with a lot working here. Not everyone is pleasant that comes through the doors and to say the store is ghetto?! Since when?!!! I could go on and on froman employee aspect of the things I see, but I will say treat people how you want to be treated! Oh, and for those who dont want hangers.... TAKE EM OFF! Makes the check-out much faster... Dont wait in line when you could be taking em off or have taken them off only to say "I dont want the hangers". You knew that already and couldve left em on the racks! Team work!

Order an item for pick up and they said it would be ready the same day at the store, 7/30/15 at 9:30pm. Well I waited up to 11 pm to get the conformation email in order to go pick up the items but got no conformation. Next day they send me a email saying that they dont have it and that they cancel my order. They now gave me a new order number and said that they are rushing my order to the store. The items will now take 3-6 days to get to their store. Got to love Walmart for false advertising. If I wanted to wait 3-6 days I would of order on ebay or amazon it would of been cheaper. I tried to cancel my new order because I wanted to buy the item at another store but now their site wont let me cancel and the order has a time limit to when you can cancel it by. I did the online live chat with an associate and she claim that they havent taken the money out yet, I was like what she talking about I just check my account and they already taken out the money for the order. She then stated that she cancel it and I should be getting my refund in 7 days. Walmart fast to take your money but slow deliver what they promised. Stay away from Walmarts lies.
