I was there Saturday of mothers day weekend and Im amazed at the rudeness of check out employees. I live in Golden Valley so i usually shop at the Menards off 394. W just happen to be driving through BP to go to the theater. We had a cart with a couple medium sized plants on them (weight of no more than 5 pounds each) that I rolled up to the checkout. The sign thats located there says that the cashier will unload them...etc. So I left them. I did take the initiative and put a number of things on the counter before hand. There was no greeting by (Shawnquella, no, Im not making that name up) who was obviously having a bad day. After ringing up a couple items, she demanded that I unload the cart for her. I asked why, assuming thats what she was supposed to do. She responded with ( so I can see them). Her general attitude completely went down from there. She became very rude even after having removed them from the cart. She was mad that I didnt place them on the counter Im guessing. After I removed all the plants, I was talking to my wife and she snapped out at me asking (what did you just say to me?). I was like, nothing, Im talking to my wife. So, to aid in this transaction and get us out faster and without any more attitude from "Shawnquella" I started to put the plants on the counter for her. I thought I was doing her a favor but her rudeness just continued from there. Once scanning our items, she basically started throwing our stuff down on the counter as she eyeballed us while loading the items in the cart. Even after we paid and left her aisle, her rudeness continued. We were waiting just outside where she was located chatting waiting for our kids to go to the bathroom and she continued to eyeball us the whole time. I was pretty amazed at the nerve of the employee considering I was helping her do her job. I would think that to become an employee of Menards, it would be within your job description to be able to lift 15-25 pounds steadily. At least this was a rule when I was with Home Depot. I am not the one to do "reviews" but I had to say something about this incident as its attitudes like this, are the reason why these jobs are getting $15 an hour. When all you have to do is stand there and ring stuff up and be nice for like 2 minutes and you cant do that, time to find a new job. To the Menards of BP management, please talk with your employee SHAWNQUELLA who was working the register 5-13-17. To anyone else, dont go into Shawnquellas lane.

Overall impressed with newly built Menards, however extremely disappointed and upset with their employees, in particular the Windows department. Custom ordered 8 windows, that are time sensitive. Was told theyd be manufactured and delivered in 2 weeks. And its week 6 and we are still getting the run around. The wrong windows were ordered and bsolutely no one will take ownership and be professional and deal with it. Getting the run around daily. Promised calls back from Brandon[manager], Char[DeptManager], Leah and Joe[managers]. Ive spent over 20,000$ at this store on this particular house and Im appalled at how unprofessional and rude these employees have been throughout this process. So very disappointed.

I was at this Menards on Friday, August 18, 2017. I have arthritis and have trouble walking. I was on the second floor and ready to give up because I couldnt find what I was looking for when an employee asked if she could help. Her name was Dawn and she was a sweetheart. She found exactly what I was looking for, actually two different items, we looked for a third one which was not in the color I wanted and then she guided me back to the elevator. I am 77 years old and my good friend says I am directionally challenged!! lol You have such nice people working in this store and Dawn is one of the better ones!!

Worst customer service Ive had in a long time. Sign up with a rebate price... tiny print saying "if sign is posted after x date, ignore the rebate"... super condescending manager expected us to take a picture of the sign when we talked to them about it? So customers are supposed to take pictures of all the signs now? Yikes. Ive always liked Home Depot better. This was just confirmation. Update: just waited 30 minutes and had to remind the same person 3 different times that we were waiting for our order in the spot where they asked us to wait.

Worst experience at any Menards Ever. After returning my rental truck, it took the employee over 20 minutes to inspect the truck and get the paperwork done (took an extended walk in the parking lot even The truck was parked right in front of the store; and he couldnt get the computer to work either) I was charged extra for that time because the clock only stops after his extended adventure! Why cannot the clock stop by the time I handed him back the damn key!? Lack of common sense at this place is amazing!

This particular store location is huge and has a great selection. But, as with many Menards its organization seems counter-intuitive somehow. Sometimes its really intelligently organized (like have all the painting stuff right near the front door) but at other times it seems impossible to navigate. The store employees are sometimes quite helpful and more often pretty clueless.

Great selection and priced just right. Awesome sales. Not a big fan of rebates as most of Menards sales are based on rebates. Only complaint is about the back end of the store - customer service non existent. They just look at you dumbfounded and when you ask for help, they pretend to go look for help and never get back to you.

Brand new and hot damn its nice. Only drawback is that because they tore down the old building and built new, they have a ton of new employees that arent completely trained in yet (dont know the store layout completely), but thats something that will get better with time. I highly recommend.

Worst experience ever!! Had to load all of our own sheet rock after being told someone would help us! Im not very strong so this was an adventure! We were told everything we would need was in the barn...come to find out it wasnt! Just a very frustrating shopping experience overall!

Wow! Nicest hardware store, let alone Menards store, that I have ever been to. Lots of employees on staff every day of the week. Very clean and handicap accessible. Very good inventory levels. Very easy to find what you need! Two thumbs way up! Thanks Menards!

Dave in plumbing saved the day! He took the time to show me what I needed for my plumbing project, as well as how to properly make modifications since my home has mostly old and hard to find parts. He was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor!
