This is the last time I will be shopping at this location. Today I spent over $100 on merchandise, but one of the items, a coil of edging material totaling $8.97, was buried under four bags of mulch, and both myself and cashier missed it. Another employee saw it and started throwing the bags of mulch on the floor to unearth the edging material. She was rude and acted like I had intentionally hidden the item, but I didnt think too much about it until the cashier alerted me that the woman had informed the manager. I have spent over $500 at Menards in the last month--why would I try to make off with an $8 item? I approached the manager and asked her if the other woman had truly reported me. An employee standing behind the manager nodded, twice, and made a face, but the manager stood there with her arms crossed and told me the woman had only suggested that cashiers "be more careful." There was no apology, no reassurance that I wasnt under suspicion, just cold denial. I told the manager I thought that was extremely rude, and walked out. I should have returned everything I had just paid for. Customers dont deserve to be treated like criminals.

I bought a prefabricated granite countertop from Menards. I was glad that they carried the size I needed; which both Lowes & Home Depot did not and at an affordable price. However, I was disappointed with the customer services and logistics planning that went along with this order. For one, I was told it would arrive at the store on 8/17, however no one called/texted/emailed when it actually came in - Home Depot does do this. I called that day to see if it was in and the customer service rep I spoke with kept chatting with another coworker while she was on the phone with me. Turned out she needed my order number to check the status (which was on the receipt I had at home; not with me) and they couldnt find my order using my name. After I got home and found my order number I checked the status and it had actually been delivered to the store four days earlier. So in a nutshell Im disappointed no one contacted me when my order came in and that their system isnt savvy enough to look up orders based on customers names.

Not pleased at all today with Mendards Delivery Scheduling person. He definitely got out of bed on the wrong side of bed this morning. What a grump! Menards is our store of choice and we just ordered all our kitchen cabinets and flooring through them (approximately $10,000). Today, I was attempting to schedule delivery to our home for next week. Due to the lack of respect and rudeness of the gentleman, I chose to leave the store rather than lose my temper and regret what might fly from my mouth. -- Will try again tomorrow and definitely dodge the grump (who shall remain nameless). This type of customer "dis"service should not be tolerated. I am giving a four star rating because all the other staff we have worked with over the years are friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable, and Menards has a great selection in most every category and good prices. If not for todays experience, I would have given five stars.

We love this Menards more than all the rest. We have been shopping here for about 22 years, and in spite of what one of the reviewers said about the buildings faults, (which I find charming), it is still the best value for the money. If you are interested in looks go to a brand new store - the one in Maple Grove is newer, but lacks the charm of this older one. I also like the shoppers better at this store - they are not pushy, thinking they are better than other shoppers. They are actually very considerate, and I feel at home here. We bought our kitchen cabinets here January 09, and are now remodelling a restaurant, and are shopping almost exclusively at this Menards. No store is perfect, but this one is pretty close!

Dreadful layout and awful customer service make for the worst hardware store in the state. Sure, theyve spent a lot of money on moving walkways and live music, but important sections are hidden by the enormous grocery section (why does a hardware store have a grocery section?) The employees ignored my repeated requests for assistance, and the lumberyard was devoid of any Menards personnel. Eventually I stormed out in disgust. Ive been to quite a few hardware stores for my work, and this is by far the most frustrating and unpleasant. Avoid it.

14 sheets of slat wall weighing approximately 600 lbs. I was 20 from the rear door. I asked if I could just pay up front via invoice and pull my truck to rear loading area. They said no and that I would have to stack on cart and wheel 14 4 x 8 sheets through the aisles to the cash register. No help. No help wheeling it to the front aisle and the entire staff in the lumber area were not helpful. Such a dysfunctional place with poor training, poor organization, and a layout that keeps you in their store three times longer than necessary.

I love Menards, and go there any time I have a choice. But not this location. They barely have common copper fittings, Unorganized layout with caulking in multiple different locations, no one there knows anything about their department, very little lumber inside, and the "Back employee area" is open to the rest of the store leaving you to ask, "Should I even be here?". Other than the beautiful indian woman up front, there isnt a single good thing about this location. Drive the distance to a different Menards.

The ad on the Menards rental pickups states that rental is $18.95, but when I arrived to rent one, I was told the fee was $26 plus $3.95 for gas, and a $5 charge for each hour after that. When I brought the pickup back 3 hours later, I was told that no, the $5 fee is every 15 minutes, and that I was "late." At Home Depot, they charge $19.95/ hour with a $5 fee each hour after that. I am a loyal Home Depot customer, but went outside of my comfort zone. Never again.

Employees are more concerned about their conversations than helping you. Terrible selection of potting soil. Crappy selection all together when it comes to gardening actually. The one is Burnsville/Shakopee is so much better in this area its mind boggling. Something else to add. They have a manager that you can barely understand. Who also acts inconvenienced by your presence. As if shes doing you a favor. This place is garbage. Worst employees ever.

we love menards. very big, bright, and modern store. we take advantage of their contractor services and their 11% rebate sales. however, as someone who buys stuff and needs to go around to the lumber yard to pick it up a lot.....I do have one huge gripe......they need to come up with a better system for customers to find stuff back there. the item numbers are totally random.....you can spend an hour looking for a certain board or whatever.

Plants and Flowers are excellent values in the Spring. Some painting supplies such as Mineral Spirits, Linseed Oil, Paint Thinner and Primer is not competitively priced. high volume items crucial to standard products may be out of stock - Always ask clerks to check back stock. Return process is awkward and time consuming. Receipt tracking needs a re-design. Parking for this store is good, Store is clean.
