**************PLEASE READ CAREFULLY********** If you’re thinking about taking a loan out with CARHOP/UAC please I mean please THINK AGAIN and go look for a more flexible cooperative and attentive inspiring organization that you can tell your family and friends about. NOT an Organization that doesn’t give 2 middle fingers about you or your situation they just want YOUR MONEY and you SIGNING YOUR LIFE AWAY to some BS. I’ve been a customer of UAC since March of 2016 when I purchased a car for my birthday BIG MISTAKE. I pulled off the lot with a lemon it was in the shop the second week I purchased it, the shell was beautiful but the inside had issues, my window wouldn’t roll up once I rolled it down so it got rained in, the breaks was bad the list goes on and on. Since me purchasing the car I have made all my payments with no problems. These last couple of months I’ve been getting garnished so my income has changed. Me being the person I am I let CARHOP/UAC know what’s going on with me to get my payment modify during this trying time in my life, since they scream we’re here to help you with your credit. So I have my garnishment documentation in hand to prove to them my situation is real. I go into my “Account manager’s” office to speak to her about my concerns Maplewood location St Paul who’s really a collection rep. To see if I can get 3-6 months of payment modification until my garnishment was up to help me survive being a single mother of two. Don’t you know how horrible my experience was first she was unprofessional calling other customers threatening them with repossession and collection for non-payment due to them losing their jobs while I’m in the room with no disregard to the customer’s privacy? Now mind you I’m a paying customer coming in the room while she’s on the phone trying to get payments from other customers. She looks at my paperwork and says “ok how much are they taking and how much is still owed” we go over the numbers she says “you need about 5-6 months of payment modification so let me see if we can work with you”. She’s the manager according to her card, so I thought her word was bond with assisting me with maintaining my payments to keep this GOOD CREDIT UP. NOPE she calls her “supervisor” for her supervisor to tell her to tell me to get a second JOB?????? Are you serious with no disregard to me being a single mother with two kids? How dare you and I’m the customer that’s trying to maintain my weekly payments. It just shows you what their bottom line is MONEY they are not here for you to build your CREDIT that’s LIES. The moral of this story is TRY TRY other places you will regret it in the END. If a life situation happens to you while you’re a customer of theirs I repeat they will not help you in maintaining your payments they will throw you to the wolf’s for THE MONEY. I hate this company can’t wait until it’s over I wouldn’t recommend my enemy to them.

The saga continues. Recently, I had the unfortunate set of circumstances (and youll find out as to why unfortunate here in a moment) to come across this dealership, the Fort Collins location. After about five hours and the want to simply leave, we were finally given a car. When asked about technical specs on said vehicle, the person who had apparently just brought it back from the shop, knew just about as much as we did on the matter, if not less. By the way, and you know who you are, there are in fact running daytime lights on a 2005 Chevy Aveo. Figured youd want to know that for in the future. Anyway, after getting the car, it pretty much went downhill from there. I mean, I understand the point of "As Is". Youre getting it in the condition youre pretty much expecting for a used car. What youre not expecting is to find out these conditions along the way, akin to those surprises that include farting in an elevator or stepping in dog crap. So fast forward to the present. We make our payment on time and start getting these texts and calls saying otherwise. What follows can only be described as an episode of "Benny Hill" on meth as we attempted to get to the bottom of the issue. Our calls were mostly in part ducked and dodged, our emails ignored, and when they were finally responded to, it was like the person composing it wasnt entirely certain as to whether or not they were writing a business email or an illiterate diatribe like one would undoubtedly find on their Facebook. Addressing the District Manager was a nightmare onto itself. Generally, being told that no one will call you unless you owe us money is the opposite of helping, no matter how much you pretend that you want to so that you dont have to explain the multitude of bad reviews across many different platforms. Much like Im doing now. So fast forward past that. I get a phone call from what I have to imagine is their main office. Nice voicemail, seemed as if she wanted to help. Introduced herself as Kate, and I figured things would be settled from there. Called this morning, left a message. Waited. Waited some more. Figured its a business, businesses tend to get busy, remained patient. That patience was pretty much lost when Kates assistant, well-meaning but utterly clueless, decided to call me in Kates stead, doing a fairly poor job since she actually had no idea as to why she was calling in the first place. Sweet lady, not so hot at her job. So in short, dont go here. Dont go here unless they have kidnapped your entire family, including the dog, and will ship them somewhere awful and even then, consider strongly if you actually like your family enough to wade through this cluster of a business.

Now one day i saw the commericial of car hop thought id give it a try cause i was in need of a car asap, my tranny and my motor were about to go in my truck. so i went to car hop found a car got approved for a loan. awesome. now i had no clue what interest rate was and i didnt know nothing about purchasing a car cause it was my first ive bought from a dealership. so i signed the papers and all and then they told me how much it was going to be..... 11,500 for a car with 150,000 miles on it no air bags no traction control no abs brakes i mean really. then i got the car it was on empty had to put my own gas in already the car was only worth 4000. the interest rate is 20.9 percent which is outragous. i pay 95 dollars a week and i no longer want the car. i have 2 kids and alot of bills i tryed getting payments lowered but id have to refinace that pos car. so if anyone thinks about going to car hop think twice. its not worth it. i know some people that went through them and got screwed over. if you need a car borrow money from family look past car hop dont screw your self over car hop. find a way around them. its NOT WORTH IT. i feel like they are a big scam they feed off people that are in need of a vehicle and they will bait you in and laugh at you on the way out. there are other places to get loans just look around dont go through these guys! i cant afford my car no more and i tryed returning it but they said it would be a repo and it would damage my credit and they would auction it off and i still would have to pay the differnce. im a young kid and im trying to get life going get my own house and all the good stuff but i messed it all up by going to car hop.. DONT GO TO CAR HOP!
