Recently purchased a new refrigerator, washer and dryer from this Home Depot. To make a long story short, I came to find out after a service visit from the manufacturer that the fridge was broken probably before it ever left the factory, so I went back to the store to see about getting it switched out for a new one. I was told by the staff and management both that they do not accept returns after 48 hours under any circumstances. Considering the fact that even if I found out it was broken the instant it was delivered, it would still take longer than 48 hours to schedule a service visit and have the repairman come out to look at it, which is exactly what the manufacturer says to do in case of any problems. I told them exactly that and their response was to treat me like an idiot for thinking that they would replace a $1200 appliance that was broken when they sold it to me. I was never a big fan of Home Depot before this for exactly the reason stated by many other reviewers (poor service from apathetic employees during EVERY SINGLE VISIT) but since they had the best deal on the products I needed, I thought I would give them my business. Never again. Thanks for giving me one final reminder as to why I hate spending money in your stores and dealing with your employees! DO. NOT. SHOP. HERE. EVER.

I recently had to purchase some fixtures. When I went to the cashier and asked for my veterans discount I showed her my VA card which states under my photo "Purple Heart." She told me that the store has changed its policy and veteran discounts and that the card has to state in some manor "service connected." I then explained to the young cashier that the only way to receive a Purple Heart IS to be in the service. She then explained that Home Depots policy has been changed and that she needed to get her head cashier. The head cashier came with a n 8x4 inch card with accepted veterans ID. One of the accepted forms of ID was a VA card, the same I have, it also has a photo on it with a John Doe, the same as mine, under the photo it has "Former POW", NOT the same as mine, and under the "Former POW" it also has "Purple Heart, " the same as mine. I pointed this out to the head cashier who told me that she would then have to verify this with HER manager, but in the mean time she would give me the discount. When I tried to tell her that I have what she has minus the Former POW, she told me not to get huffy and upset. I see stupid people.

This Home Depot is actually quite terrible. I love shopping at Home Depot... However, this one is a shame to the Home Depot name. Its poorly run every time I go there I ALWAYS get the run around. The employees are hardly competent and the management staff is even worse! Its clear they barely train these employees if at all. Not only that but when a situation arises that an employee does not know-- which is quite often mind you, it takes FOREVER to get someone from management to address the issue. Stay away from the back half of the store (doors, appliances, carpet) if you are unlucky enough to find yourself in this store. I dont know which people are in charge of these departments but they all should be fired. The most headaches I have had was from these departments. I have to drive all the way out to Michigan Ave just to get good service. If you were smart youd do the same, and if Home Depot were smart... they would shut this store down.

Have always been assisted in a knowledgeable and courteous manner... the employees seem happy to be there and to help! If they are not certain about a project or item, they would find the appropriate person or guide me in obtaining what I needed. I often use the tool rental department and have always been satisfied with the tools and the service.l Once I needed a receipt dating back about 5 months for insurance purposes. The associate was unable to retrieve it after about 15 minutes of searching. She recorded my contact information, searched the records later in the day and emailed the receipt to my home. It seemed important to her that I have what I needed from Home Depot to aid me in completing the insurance forms. I seemed important. This is how I feel when I go to the Home Depot on Carpenter Rd., Ypsilanti.

I recently moved to the Ann Arbor area and received a welcome to the neighborhood coupon from Lowes for 10% off. I had planned to use Home Depot for all of my painting supplies so I threw the Lowes coupon away. I spent over $400 in paint and supplies at Home Depot. I heard I could use the Lowes coupon at Home Depot so I brought all my receipts to request the 10% off. They would not give me the discount! I then requested to speak with the manager and she would not give me the discount either. The paint colors were not done accurately and one of the colors I couldnt even use at all. Never again will I shop at Home Depot.

Literally the worst place on Earth. I get nauseous just thinking about walking in here. The staff would rather tell u they dont have something rather then look for it. The aisles are always cluttered and it is impossible to move around. I am there early pretty much every day and it is a ghost town. The staff u do see would rather walk right past u then stop and see if u need help. At the brighton home depot I cant walk down an aisle without a smiling friendly face asking me if I need any help. One of the cashiers is a total b*itch. If I could rate this place less then one star I absolutley would.

This Home Depot has everything every other Home Depot has. Including employees that are completely unhelpful. Just download the Home Depot App, which will give you exact locations of anything in the store and do your research beforehand via YouTube. Youll be in and out in no time. But DO NOT. DO NOT ask an employee for either where something is or how to do something. Youll be taken for a tour of the entire store and walk out with things you dont/wont need of which will likely be the most expensive versions.

I came in for some paint for a very small full bathroom. Nicole, not only greeted me and offered help, but was amazing with her knowledge. She asked my concerns and after getting home, proved her advice sound. Not only was I impressed with her knowledge, I had time to witnesses her accommodating other customers and co workers...AMAZING...it was almost as the 80s customer service was still alive! I travel for a living, hotel, restaurant, resorts, shopping...She made me proud she is in my community...

Yesterday I was here looking at few things and saw a white lady inside with her golden, so less than 24 hours I take my golden inside, I got told I am not aloud to have my dog inside. Talk about double standard, and people say white privilege doesnt exist. I will take my business to Lowes that allows dogs to race of all people instead of a place where you get same price as Lowes after your 10% military discount
