I was impressed by the fact that the sales team did not push, and I felt I could trust them. That was my MISTAKE. I was borrowing my exs car, needed a vehicle. Test drove & had their mechanic ride along. He assured us he had looked thru the entire drive train & motor, & was in good shape. The salesman lied said the truck was on sale for $10,090. I started the paperwork & had to return with a check stub. The base price increased to $11,995. Also bought contract warranty for 36 mo. for $1380.Returned to dealer later to ask about fixing price & found salesman had been fired! Asked again to be sure what maintenance was required for warranty & dealer said just oil changes. At this point I did not trust the dealer at all. I called warranty administrator & found that changing water pump & timing belt was mandatory @ current mileage for valid warranty per the manufacturers maintenance booklet. Also found out I had 60 days to cancel from date of purchase to get 100% refund, and that the dealer had 30 days to get the warranty to the administrator. I then informed the administrator I was cancelling warranty, and they said I could not cancel until they received it. Dealer also made a mistake on the warranty form & had not checked the term box. I called the dealer to find out why the admin. had not received warranty, & inform them of needed form correction. Dealer said they couldnt believe admin. did not have it yet! Said they would correct form & use my previous signature, and fax the form to admin. I waited 1 week to find nothing had been done yet! (I assumed the dealer was hoping the time limit would pass so If I canceled I would be refunded a lessor amount, or not cancel at all). I got the documents, my statement, and odometer reading notarized and took them to the dealer. Carl, the finance guy, made the statement,"I dont understand why you want to be without a warranty." I replied,"I did want the warranty but it is not valid, and I cant afford to pay $1380 for a warranty that does me no good." I contacted the warranty administrator & spoke with a supervisor, Scott smith. I had scott e-mail me written verification that I would be given a 100% refund of the purchase price of the warranty as long as it was canceled in the 60 day time frame. On 12/7/12 the truck started making a lot of noise. I went to the nearest garage. Once on the lift It was found that the rear end/differential was ruined. The cover was held on with "form a seal" gasket which showed through bolt holes that were missing bolts, and broken off bolts were found. Oil was leaking from the cam shaft seals in the motor. The estimate from the garage is $3055. I payed to have the truck towed to the dealer and they verified the same damage as the garage. The mechanics at the garage can prove that the truck was already in this condition when I purchased it, the issue was not fully presented yet. The dealership stated to me,"you can still drive the truck, the damage has already been done." (The internal gears still mesh slightly, but the bearings are ground up metal.) The dealer was extremely upset that I canceled the warranty. I was told,"YOU NEVER CANCEL A WARRANTY!" They said they could have finagled something. I tried to explain that the warranty was not legally valid so I canceled it. It is obvious to me that the dealership does not know what is required in the warranties they sell, and/or they sell and apply these warranties fraudulently! The dealer also kept $640 of $1380 warranty refund which should have been 100% refund to lien holder! I financed this truck on a 5 year payment plan, made one payment, and drove it for one month and 2 weeks. I have no vehicle to drive and it needs $3000 in repairs! Nalani Zorola

I never write reviews unless I usually have a bad experience, but in this case I felt like I needed to write them a review because of what Ive been reading on here. First of all, no place can give everyone 100% satisfaction all the time. If that were the case, everyone else who provided the same exact service would be non-existent because why would you go anywhere else where the satisfaction was less than theirs, guaranteed? Secondly, every person who walks into their dealership to buy a car, trade one in, get one serviced, etc., is unique and will have a different experience. Because someone on here wrote about having such a bad experience with them, and alternatively such a good experience, doesnt mean youre guaranteed to experience what they did. My experience using them was very positive, and this was a result of things I did pre-emptively on my end and things they did on their end during the sales process. I used USAA car buying service and they offered me exactly what USAA said they would for a new Jeep. Secondly, I did my homework. I researched what the price of the car I wanted should be, what my trade was worth, and factored in as many other variables as possible to know what I would be paying if I bought the car from them. If you dont educate yourself first and do a little research on buying a new (or used) car, there is a good chance your expectations of what you think you deserve vs. what the reality of what you will get will be off. While Im not doubting that some people may have had a bad experience and wanted to vent about it, no one but them knows what those circumstances were - youre just hearing their side of the story. Perhaps their expectations where too high going in, they misunderstood what was being told to them, or maybe they felt they "deserved" more than they were owed. Dont discredit Vicksburg because of a few bad reviews, but at the same time dont think theyre the best because of a few good ones either. For me, it comes down to the person(s) Im dealing with. Melanie was great and gave me more than what any other dealership within 100 miles was willing to do. But that was my experience. Yours will vary in some way. The bottom-line is buying a car is an expensive purchase no matter if the car is $20k or $50k. If you work with a sales rep here and dont feel comfortable buying a car from them, or they dont treat you well in the sense of actually listening to what you want, can afford, and are honest with you, then dont. A lot of the negative reviews are about how people felt they were lied to, which if this happened, is unfortunate, but if you dont like something, then back away from it before you pay for it. if you felt like you got screwed over for service after you paid for something, then hopefully you were able to get as much documentation in writing ahead of time to challenge what theyre charging you for or can take it to a higher power. For me, Id recommend them - at least to buy a Jeep from. Thats the extent to which I can speak to. This was the easiest car buying experience Ive had in over 15 years.

I love my Ram truck. I did not however like the finance deal that I received. I am also to blame in that I spoke to my salesman on the phone prior to arriving and in the conversation told him some of reasons for the purchase I was planning at your used car lot. “I asked him to have his very best deal ready to go”. I had done some research into the value of my vehicle, a 03 Jaguar with approx. 87K mileage KBBs for around 5K minimum and at 8K high. I did not particularly look over the loan agreement as I previously spoke to him and told him to have his best proposition ready and waiting for me when I arrived. I did the test drive and then signed the papers and waited about 2 hrs. for my final paper work to be provided to me at the Vicksburg lot. I then started my drive back to Indiana. I received a call that the salesman he had forgotten the license plate and I had to drive back from the state line to deliver it to the Vicksburg lot. I finally found time to actually look at the deal he had prepared when I returned home I then found that I had received a very generous, (NOT!) 2K even money for my car. I did tell him that I was also planning to trade another vehicle at some point in the near future. I will never be back to trade with Vicksburg and I will not recommend anyone else to seek a car trade there. Quite simply because I told him to have his best ready, I thought he would, but his idea of a readymade deal that we can both live with sure seems favor the car lot excessively. I was expecting to at least receive the minimum trade in value. Also he offered to send a gas card for my having to return the dealer plate that was left on the truck. Don’t bother with it now; I have already discerned that it was just another unimpressive effort by your group at Vicksburg. Sir, I was willing to pay good money for a good product and leave us both happy, I believe I did my part and that your group could have done a much better part. I do not want to argue the point further now or in the future. I had quite a full day, the day of the purchase. I am a busy man and I don’t have the time or wish to travel that distance for something I tried to plan prior to the task. You need not bother to attempt to pacify me after the fact. It would still not be satisfactory to me, after seeing first hand, your initial methods for preparing a deal. These guys will use Vulture Tactics" if they can so EVERYONE, please beware of them.
