I am a GM retiree and have always heard how awesome Toyota vehicles were and how great the service was. I was in the market for a new used van and decided to try out a Toyota Sienna from Suburban Toyota. I am assuming the vehicle is as good as they say it is, time will tell. I must say I was really disappointed with the service I received at the Used Car department. I made an appt. to see a Sienna on Friday, July15th. Our salesman, Ryan, showed us the vehicle along with a some of the options on it. We took it for a ride and decided we would get it. When we further inspected it at the dealership, we noticed it needed some paint touch up on the exterior. As we inspected the interior, we noticed a lot of dirt and dog hair throughout the vehicle along with a dirty spot on the seat. We told Ryan that we would take the vehicle but wanted the scratches touched up and the interior cleaned again because it was not part of the Toyota service that I had expected. He stated that the detailing company was at fault and assured us the scratches would be touched up and that the Suburban Toyota detailers would go through it thoroughly again. We made an appt. to purchase the vehicle on Wednesday, July 20th. He assured us it would be ready to go by then. When we arrived to purchase the van, we walked by the van before going to see Ryan and noticed the scratches were not repaired. When we met Ryan at his desk and brought it to Ryans attention about the scratches, he handed me a bottle of touch up paint for me to do it myself. To say the least, I was a little pissed when I saw the scratches still there let alone having him hand me a bottle of touch up paint to do it myself after he said he was going to take care of it. He said it didnt get done because they would of had to send it to their paint shop and it would of taken days to have it touched up. On Friday, he never mentioned it had to be sent out to a paint shop because we would have said we were OK with that. At least he offered to go out then and help me touch it up if I wanted. He then gave us the keys for the van and we decided to take a look to make sure the interior was cleaned as promised. Upon our inspection, the interior was as dirty as it was when we initially inspected the vehicle. We decided to look under the mats this time and they were filthy and never cleaned under them. Now I am really pissed because nothing was done that Ryan promised us. He tried to explain the trouble they are having with their contracted Detailer but at this point I blamed Ryan. He was the one that blamed the Detailer the first time but he was going to correct the situation and he didnt. We walked out of the dealership at 1:00pm because we were so dissatisfied with the service that we just received at a Toyota dealership. I was expecting a call from Ryan or the dealership to apologize and assure they were going to resolve our issues. The call never came and I had to call the Manager (Scott) at about 5:00pm to inform him at what happened. I left a message and he called back a short time later. He said he was aware at what happened and he was sorry and they would resolve the issues. We made another appt to purchase the vehicle on Fri. (7/22). Upon our inspection, the issues as noted were finally taken care of. After coming home and putting down the back seats, I noticed they did not clean under them because of all of the dog hair still there. After years of working at GM and hearing how good Toyotas vehicles and service were, I was really disappointed with their service. Out of all of the vehicles that I purchased through GM dealers over the years, I have not experienced that kind of service. Although not happy with the service, I hope the Sienna holds up to its quality reputation.

Just coping my husbands review, couldnt have said it better! Horrible, just horrible. I probably would have gotten more help from a used car dealership from Detroit. First, Im honestly annoyed how much my wife and I were pressured to give a full five star review when buying our car, it wasnt bad service when buying but not a full five stars. They said something along the lines of "if we dont get 5 stars then our bosses arent happy." Anyways, to the problems. First off, we bought a 2017 Toyota Camry and werent really happy with it after a few months (just didnt like it) and sold it back to Suburban Toyota. We lost some good money on it but that didnt bother us. Our big problem was getting our money back from the extended warranty... First off, the guys who run the Toyota Financial are useless, whats the point of having a phone in your office if you arent going to answer it or the voicemails on it? I called for a week straight, left multiple voicemails, and didnt get a phone call back. I had to drive 45 minutes just so I can get a few questions answered. Try it, call Suburban Toyota if Troy and ask for their financial manager, not a chance! When we sold the car we also canceled the extended warranty and the rim and tire protection. It has been over 2 whole months and still havent received anything back. After multiple phone calls I finally reached a sales a manger, because the financial managers never answered. I was told the request for the warranty refund was never put in the system! After two months of calling nobody put in the request for a refund in the system?? They couldnt even find any paperwork on it! The red head ginger idiot from the financial department never put in my request in the system! Ive been on and off the phone for a week straight and so far nothing! This is crazy! They said it may take another 4-8 weeks to re-submit everything! I talked to other people that went here, not the first time these sort of thing have happened. Most of the reviews on here are encouraged by the employees to the customers so they dont get in trouble with their bosses. Thank God I never went back to buy a 2017 Tacoma from them, Im better off finding another dealership for that in the future.
