Just went here for one item. Got my 25 count of waxworms to feed my gecko. The freezer was dripping water into the mini fridge, onto the tubs of worms. I checked them more in my car. Mine were dead from being too cold. Ice had formed on some cups! They looked shocked because "we just got that order." Get a new mini fridge that works right! So they returned the waxworms and gave me 30 large crickets instead. My gecko needs food today. The kid that got my crickets put a bunch in the bag, then laid the bag on the counter and pressed all the air out, so it was flat on the crickets. Then he counted. What?! Never seen it done that way and Ive been feeding crickets for 20 years! Wow. South Lyon education at work I guess. While waiting in line, two employees stood and talked: "make sure the reptiles get fed today" like it gets forgotten often. These Pet Supplies Plus stores all have untrained employees. As long as they can stock shelves and use a cash register, animal care knowledge does not matter. How do you sell reptiles if you know nothing about them? Thats how so many reptiles are kept wrong and die tortured deaths. Misinformation. Order your stuff online. I usually do. Just happened to need live food for my gecko today.

Okay I am one who loves animals and this pet store has plenty but I think it is time to voice my opinion 1-when I was 11 I was at this pet store and I pointed out that a hamster was dead in its cage and to add on to that when I alerted a member of the staff they simply said theyll have someone remove it and walked away the next day I went back to get something I had forgot the day prior only to see the same hamster in the cage same position everything I didnt even bother to tell anyone figureing nothing would be changed 2-about a month ago I was there and saw in all tanks of goldfish they were all on the bottom of the tank from what seemed to be oxygen deprivation not only were the air pumps off and not running but there was about 50-70 fish in a tank that was no more than 10 gallons probably not even I dont care if the goldfish were "feeder fish" they are still animals and deserve proper and humane conditions while they are alive

My fiancé and I go here all the time since we moved here just a few months ago. We even took our puppy here after we rescued him to warm him up around strangers and by the end of our trip there, he was very comfortable! The staff are always very helpful and friendly. And if they arent sure about something, they are honest and get help or another opinion instead of wiggling their way through the situation. This is our favourite store to shop at for our fur and shell babies! Though it is a little pricey, its definitely worth every penny for our bundles of joy. We recommend this store, and this location specifically, to all our friends and family!

My review has to do with one of their groomers.....Dani, the cat whisperer. Absolutely fabulous job on my huge, reluctant Maine Coon cat.....very patient & that includes just trying to get the cat in the door. Dani made it work for us and I cant thank her enough. If your cat needs anything, shes the one who can help.

I currently work there and the staff with our without customers are really friendly managers wanna make sure the store is 100% (at a store isnt that the goal?) They actually make sure and make the store 100% I love this place great environment and people every one works together and is always looking to help

This Pet Supplies Plus was very clean and well organized. I especially appreciated the gesture of kindness by a man whom I believe was the manager. Seeing I had my young children with me, he offered to help me get my purchases out to my car. It was an extra act that meant a lot to me.

Patrick, the store manager, is really awesome! I live a stones throw away from the store. Instead of carrying cases of cat food home, I asked Patrick if hed be willing to hand them to me over the fence. He did! Great customer service.

I love shopping for my pets needs here. Not only is the staff very helpful and friendly but, every eight weeks bring my Yorkie for his grooming and they do a fantastic job, never disappointing!
