What a fabulous independent jeweler!! Amazing and unique jewelry designs that you wont find at the big box stores, and at very competitive prices. Along with designer names, IDI does absolutely stunning custom work designed and created in house putting them steps above other jewelers. Not only is there an array of selections to choose from; but the customer service is what makes them 5 star. You will not get the personalized attention at chain stores, the service is exactly the same whether you are shopping for an engagement ring that is thousands of dollars or a chain to go with a pendant you purchased at an art fair. My family and I have been shopping here for years and have never been disappointed. In fact, my mom upgraded her diamond and IDI gave her a credit close to if not the same as the original purchase. If you are looking for high quality beautiful jewelry, wonderful customer service and nice price tags, look no further than IDI. You will never shop anywhere else again. I will be there this weekend to do some more jewelry shopping, I just love their totally unique custom everything!!

IDI is MY preference in jewelry stores. Richard, Arlene and staff greet and serve you with utmost courtesy. Their variety of merchandise encourages one to browse the showcases at ones leisure. With each shopping experience is met with great expectation as they stay current with style trends and periodically add new merchandise. Richard donated a Citizen Eco-Drive ladies watch to the MARL silent auction fundraiser last June. I was fortunate enough to have won that bid and wear my timepiece with utmost pleasure since the mother of pearl face surrounded by Swarovski crystals and white and silver band is just lovely. I have had ear rings and neck pieces altered, ring prongs reinforced, batteries replaced, a new mounting created for an opal my son brought me from Australia and other repairs by their expert repairman and craftsman; all to great satisfaction. Richard also bought my old gold and silver pieces. The shop is in a good location, away from malls with parking beside the building. Easy to stop in on my way to and from other shopping errands.

Amazing experience - I very much appreciate small business owners who know their customers. Having moved away from the area I still come back to this store. Its a great experience! My recent purchase was an engagement ring and it was perfect! The local store experience is what makes me return. They remember my name, my soon to be wifes name and even my child! They have the knack for a great full service experience. I love the in-store variety that is offered but also the willingness to work with me if I have a custom design in mind. Price to Value is outstanding on my purchases and have recommended several friends here who have also been very satisfied. Besides coming in a little blue box, I consider this my secret Tiffanys at a fraction of the cost! In the past I have also sold gold and had my watches repaired here and can say that it was a much better price than across many locations in Michigan.

In this era of cheesy chain stores and cookie-cutter salespeople, International Diamond Importers (IDI) shines like the gems they sell. Why? Because the proprietor, Richard, is one-of-a-kind. I first met Richard in the mid 90s (when I upgraded my wedding ring), and when I went back in there today (20 years later!), it was like seeing an old friend. He hadnt changed a bit: Still feisty, still funny, and still one of the areas leading experts in diamonds and fine jewelry. And he still remembered me after all these years! Thats what top notch service is all about!! So, if you want to deal with average, inexperienced jewelry salespeople when youre shopping for a wedding ring or other fine jewelry, go to the mall. But you want personalized, customized, knowledgeable service, and top-shelf merchandise...go see Richard at IDI!!

I recently went to International Diamond Importers to repair a piece of jewelry, which my husband purchased for me about 25 years ago. Richard and the staff there really give this store a "family feel." They are friendly, courteous, and all-together as helpful as can be. During two recent visits to this fine establishment, it seemed as though they knew every customer that walked through the door. Although repairs are quickly and inexpensively done, I could tell at a glance that shopping there will be even more enjoyable! The jewelry in this establishment is both unique and beautiful. The best part is that the quality of the service matches the quality of the fine jewelry they sell. I cant wait until my birthday :-)

Buying an engagement ring was my first experience in buying any kind of jewelry. I visited one other store prior to visiting International Diamond Importers, and the difference was night and day. I had very little knowledge of how to select a diamond ring, but that didnt matter. Arleen and Richard at International Diamond Importers took the vague idea of what I wanted my engagement ring to be, and transformed it into a breathtaking ring that my soon to be fiance is going to absolutely love. Amazing customer service and absolutely beautiful designs. Richard was awesome, spending time explaining the various differences in cut, quality, etc. - although everything they sell is of the best quality. I got my first "real" piece of jewelry, a birthstone ring from my parents back in the 80s and it is still in perfect condition - stone, setting, gold - all brilliant. Now we are shopping for anniversary rings - found the perfect ring here. I wouldnt even consider shopping elsewhere. You wont get the superior customer service, unique designs or level of quality (at a fair and reasonable price) anywhere else. Very pleased. Highly recommend!

Honesty and integrity come to mind first when I think of IDI. Simply amazing!!! This is not your average jeweler. Family owned, Richard and Arlene, are unbelievably accommodating, knowledgeable, helpful and they stand behind their product. My family has been shopping here for 30 years, and we have never gotten better deals or more honest service anywhere else. They have unique, one of kind pieces that are timeless and of the best quality. Moreover, they will buy your gold, they even accept trades and/or will sell your old jewelry for you. You will not find a better jeweler anywhere!

My experience started 28 years ago when I was a young 22 year old young man excited to purchase an engagement ring for my wife. Richard took the time to educate me in the proper selection of a diamond and what my wife might like. He even went as far as allowing me to borrow the diamond so I could acquire a second appraisal of the diamond. I am still to this day amazed that Richard had the trust and faith in me to leave the store with a diamond with just a smile and a handshake. My Uncle had past away and my Aunt gave me a beautiful gold ring she had given to my Uncle when they were dating in the 1950s the ring was way to small and tarnished, my girlfriend Sheila took the ring to Richard at IDI to see if he could resize it, Richard not only resized it but restored it to its original condition, when I showed my Aunt the ring she cried and could not believe how beautiful it was again, she is so happy that I wear the ring and so am I. I cant say enough about IDI (Thank You so much) I have two more rings I will be having resized A++++
