Right next to the bus stop for routes 1, 22, and 23. If youre an MSU student who takes the bus along E Grand River, youll be familiar with the the frequent route 1 service which will take you to Meijer and Meridian Mall. Although its a big-box store like Target and Walmart, groceries, personal care and household supplies are what you should be getting here. They have a huge range: prepared foods, fresh produce, freshly baked goods, and youll find their cheaper house brand products right beside popular name brand products. For things you wont find at a supermarket like the Home and Kitchen section, youll have cheaper options at Walmart or Target because Meijer doesnt produce such house brand equivalents. Surprisingly, they stock a decent range of fresh Asian produce like Chinese broccoli (gai lan) and Fenugreek (methi) leaves. The rest of the Asian foods section is as limited as you would expect; readymade Indian pastes and Japanese-American staples like ramen and Japanese condiments and sauce can be found but dont expect stuff like bagged Indian spices, or an assortment of Thai/Vietnamese/Korean/Chinese noodles and sauces. Go to somewhere like Oriental Mart if you want those things.

I had my scripts transferred to the pharmacy at the Okemos Meijer because of a $20 coupon I had. It has been one mess after another. The waits are ridiculous when I go into the store to drop off a script, then it takes no less than 30 minutes and up to an hour and 15 minutes to get them ready. A couple of times, I dropped off two or called in multiple scripts, and they would have only one ready. The wait after that was another 30 minutes, at least. I receive a phone message about half the time and was told by someone on the phone that the calls are "not standard procedure" and we can assume that the scripts are ready if they are called or faxed in. Of the 10-12 people behind the counter, half are working. I have found that most of the staff is either very short and dismissive or just plain rude. They can keep their $20 coupons.

Very disappointed in this Meijer. NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR VETERANS TO WORK. A family member was an employee at this location. He is a disabled veteran and had provided strict paperwork on working only a select amount of hours at this location. They didnt honor his hour limit, and after he complained to Human Resources, the store continued to argue with him. Please respect your veterans, especially the ones who are dedicated and work hard (as he did). You dont know what this person is dealing with (physical or mental illness) that requires them to have this limit. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE MEIJER WORKPLACE PRACTICE!!!!

I used to shop here but got frustrated when the shelves were never restocked. If an item was on special that week, it would be available Sunday afternoon but never restocked in time for Sunday evening or Mondays customers. Ive waited on certain canned goods to arrive for over a month, but the shelves were still bare. Great staff, but poor stocking practices. Also, the aisle along the refridgerated cases is far too small for such a busy store.

They have the worst checkout lanes -- the scanners always give me trouble in the self-serve lanes. Its not me, either, because this is the ONLY store where I have trouble using the scanner system. Prices are comparable to other stores in the area. There is nothing that drives me to shop here and if its busy time of of day, I avoid it due to the frustrating checkout experiences Ive had.

This store has the atmosphere of a neighborhood grocery, but the selection expected of a big store. Im told this is a smaller Meijer, but I honestly havent seen a difference in whats available, relative to any other Meijer store. My biggest gripe is that, while categories are always available, specific brands or flavors sometimes are not, and thats the reason Im deducting one star.

I have experienced many Meijers in my time. I would definitely say that within the area, this is my favorite Meijer. The layout seems logical. The produce seems edible. The scooter section is not lacking. Well, I suppose there can never be enough scooters and varieties of scooters available in a single store. But Meijer has at least one scooter, so they havent failed too badly.

EXCELLENT service throughout the store. Clean, well-stocked. Also, the location is great, and its gas station is very easy to access from the street or from the parking lot of the main store. The drive-through pharmacy is easy to use, too, and Ive never had to wait "forever" before being acknowledged after pulling up. Bonus.

The location is convenient, this store is accessible from three different main streets. The parking lot is sizable because of that. The store has. everything you would expect. It us popular with MSU students, so I tend to avoid it during welcome week. The Meijer gas station on the corner of the property is great.

I used to love this store, but it has gone WAY down hill. Specifically the Service Desk. It takes forever to get any help or return anything and they NEVER answer the phones. Ive waited on hold for over 20 minutes just trying to get an answer to one simple question. Now I simply refuse to shop here.

This Meijer is fine, but it is always busy. When we were here there were lines back into the clothes and still only about half of the lanes open. They do have a good selection, and I am generally happy with what I buy there, just not the amount of time that it takes to buy it!

This meijer is too busy. They are typically understaffed. Takes forever to get through check out. Dont buy frozen food it will be melted by time you leave the store. Staff are poorly trained. Will put poisonous items in the same bag as food if you dont carch them.

No available handicap parking spots open. No close up parking spots available for the handicap. I was wondering if I called the store while I was in the parking lot if they would send someone who works there out with the electric wheelchair and bring it to my car?

I wish the would hire more cashiers. There was only one human operated check out lane open. There was a long wait for self check lines. Most people had problems and had to wait for the one human working 10+ self check lanes to come clear the error.

Great variety of everything. I was a little disappointed with the hot prepared food though. If you need to get a hot meal to go try the Whole Foods. For everything else by way of food or housewares or clothes or pharmacy Meijer is a good bet.

First time Ive ever been to a Meijer. Their beer and wine selection is very nice but they dont have a lot that is cold. The deli and bakery are very impressive. There are also other shops within the store, my girlfriend even got her nails done.
