We had found some nice deck/patio chairs in the Holland store yesterday. The chairs were exactly what we had be looking for in the stores around the area. These chairs were priced to be sold separately or as a set. I told one of the Menards associates I would like to buy two of them but would also like to have them delivered if they didnt fit in the back of our car. She took me to another associate, Kim DeRoo, who was very rude, said they would not deliver the chairs, less than helpful and flat out didnt care one way or another if the purchase of the chairs was made or not. Kim said we couldnt have the display chairs, no one in the store would assemble new chairs and the chairs came four to a box so we had to buy them all. When I said they were priced by the piece, she said we had to get all four as they were not opening a box for two chairs. Very rude to a customer who was ready to spend money on a product of the store. The associate who originally helped us was embarrassed, but told us she would open a box and sell us two chairs but we would have to find our own person to assemble them. We are both Senior citizens - my husband is 91! - recently new to the area and dont know who we could get to assist us with this assembly. Menards is a full service store?? - I think not and I will be hard pressed to even go to this store again any time soon. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not to mention losing a sale.

WARNING to whomever orders building materials for delivery! My family and I just had the most confrontational situation with the man who ownes the delivery service that Menards contracts with. Granted my father was not happy with his delivery skills and made sure to tell him so (he tried bringing 20 foot deck boards horizontally down our wooded driveway and when they didnt fit he left them by the road for my husband to spend 30 minutes hauling each board to the house). Anyway, as soon as my dad told him he couldnt believe the service he was giving us, the man threatened to take everything ($2,000 worth) back to the store. When I ran after him to convince him to please deliver the rest, he was acting as if he was doing me a favor. When he brought the rest of the supplys down the drive, he once again became confrontational with my dad (now both of them cursing each other out) and I actually thought he was going to throw a punch at my 68 year old dad (meanwhile my 2 year old was witnessing all of this). Thats when I stepped in and got angry that he was speaking to us like that. I dont care who you are, the customer is always right and no matter what type of customer you deal with, you should always act professionally (especially when youre the owner of a delivery service). I will say that once I called and spoke to the GM of the Holland Store, he did apologize for the service and did credit back our delivery fee.

Menards Holland is a great place but they need to choose better companies to let sell in there stores. Direct tv is fine but the exede internet is the worst experience. Terrible and I would recommend menards discontinue their relationship with them. I couldnt be more unhappy with the service I have. The internet is terrible. It is soooooooo slow. I run out of my 10GB so fast I know only use it for email and a little internet searching and still cant make it through the month. I use my phone as a hot spot more than anything and dont seem to use hardly any GBs The process started with a terrible installation person putting the system where I didnt want it. Plus a terrible install. I have asked for help, asked for it to be moved and my house repaired and not reply, I called your office and complained and again nothing. I DONT HAVE TIME TO DEAL WITH THIS, TERRIBLE BUSINESS. Please get this off my house and pay for the repairs. I truly wish I would have never purchased this with your company. I hope for your sake others have better success with your product, I will, as I have time, make all the negative comments I can to help others not have the same problems I have had. Please take care of this problem!

Im stunned to see bad reviews for this store. Ive been shopping here for the 6 years Ive lived in Holland and have never had anything but the most exemplary service. I live within 1/2 mile of Lowes and wont shop there because of their lack of consistent good service and their prices seem higher. I still drive to the south end of town to go to Menards. From their Garden Shop to Electrical to Paint to Wood and so much more. I honestly cannot remember a single visit to the store where I didnt get amazing customer service from all staff members! Kudos to Menards!!

I PURCAHSED MY CARPET, PAD AND LAMINATE FLOORING HERE. I ALSO USED MENARDS INSTALLER, WHOS NAME I WILL NOT MENTION. THE CARPET SEAMS ARE COMING APART. THE LAMINATE IS BUCKLING AND SEPERATING. I HAVE CONTACTED TARKETT AND MENARDS AND NO LUCK NOT EVEN A RETURN CALL. IN MY OPINION IT WAS A INSTALLATION PROBLEM FOR MOST OF THE PROBLEMS AND THE INSTALLER TOLD ME HE AGREES THAT IT IS NOT RIGHT, BUT SAID OTHER PEOPLE ACCEPT THAT TYPE OF WORK AND I SHOULD TOO. BEWARE UNLESS YOU ACCEPT BELOW AVERAGE WORK QUALITY AND A COMPANY THAT WILL NOT RESPOND BACK TO YOU.

Have had so many bad experiences with this store. I was delayed for two months in getting custom cupboards and have problems with most of my orders and pickup. The staff is often rude and not as knowledgeable for more complex product that you want an experienced person to answer questions about. Moved away from the Hudsonville area where there is a Home Depot. Now I shop at Menards in Holland. Generally prices are better but the quality of the service is so bad I wish there was an alternative in this area. Not a good service and quality store.

Went to the hardware dept at 9:35pm, ran into the most helpful knowledgeable guy (Brendan) who, once I showed him a picture of what I was looking for, and purpose, he went about finding exactly what I needed to use to accomplish it, correctly and safely. He even gave me confidence that I Could safely accomplish this, plus an unanticipated (yet required) task on my own. I only know if every business had employees like Brendan, theyd have Zero complaints, and customers would leave happy and satisfied every time.

Bought a table saw, got it home to find out it was missing half of the parts, brought it back to exchange, when I got the second table saw home one of the legs was 3 inches shorter than the rest! I called the store after visiting 2 times in one day, they replied with "there is nothing we can do about it, the manufacturer doesnt produce good products and we have to send most of their items back." Why would you sell products that almost all have to be sent back!!!??? I will be shopping at Lowes from now on.
