Very unprofessional employees. Not to mention, not very helpful. Example: I went to get a key copied. I walked up to their key cutting counter, and there was an employee busy cutting keys. Although he saw me when i walked up, he did not acknowledge me right away. He just kept cutting his keys. Finally, without making any eye contact or greeting me in anyway, whatsoever, he said that he had paged someone before I walked up and should be there shortly. He said this in a very unfriendly tone. Maybe he was aggravated that no one had answered the page, but its no way to greet a customer. How about, "How are you today, sir? I am busy with an order of keys to copy, but I had paged someone already. Let me page them again and well be right with you". How hard is that? Certainly not my first encounter with very unprofessional and unfriendly employees there. But I am pretty sure this most recent visit will be my last. I guess, what can you expect from the east side of indy. Trashy hood, trashy people, trashy service.

Ace is a great neighborhood hardware store. There is always someone available to help me, and the employees are knowledgeable about the products. They can quickly answer my questions and direct me to what I need. Its a level of service that is hard to find at the big box stores.

I shop here all the time. Everyone who works here is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The only thing they dont really have is a good selection of lumber, as it is a limited space. So big-box store for lumber, Ace for everything else!
