DEEP PROBLEMS WITH STOCK, CREDIT CARD HANDLING, LONG WAIT TIMES, AND FREQUENT STOCK SHORTAGES. EVEN DEEPER STOCK PROBLEMS IN THE PHARMACY. 1. MEIJER CC CHIP READERS ARE BROKEN -- After waiting in line 20 minutes, finally getting checked out, the cashier told me the machine is not accepting chip cards, and I have to go stand in line at the CUSTOMER SERVICE line to check out. A second long line. Meijer is aware of the problem but doesnt tell customers up front, and offers no consideration for inconvenienced customers. DO WHAT I DID -- LEAVE THE CART THERE AND WALK AWAY. IF YOU ACCEPT THE POOR SERVICE THERE IS NO MOTIVATION FOR THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. BY THE WAY FOLKS, ALL THOSE COMPUTER SYSTEMS WERE OUTSOURCED TO INDIA YEARS AGO. MANY AMERICANS LOST THEIR IT JOBS IN GRAND RAPIDS DUE TO THE OUTSOURCING. 2. MEIJER PHARMACY IS REQUIRING 2-3 TRIPS PER PRESCRIPTION SINCE JAN 2016 -- it looks like they are saving money on inventory by having customers wait a few days until they get the order in, they will then fill ONLY HALF and wait for another order to come in. THREE TRIPS -- this has happened to me at least 4 times this year, and were barely thru half the year. I asked one of the pharmacists why, and the answer was, "Well think of it as leaving money on the shelf" In other words, they save pennies by forcing forcing customers into a just in time delivery system -- except its the customer that pays. And they are fully aware they are doing this to their paying customers. The 4th time they did this to me this year, they only put half the prescription in the bottle. Didnt tell me. I had to discover it myself days later. When I asked how this happened, shrugs, "ah dunno wha happened" shrug 3. The above incidents are just in the past 2 weeks. In addition to this, I am finding 2-3 items per visit simply arent stocked. I suspect the stock is there, but their part-timers only stock when its convenient for them. MEIJER SERVICE HAS BECOME LIKE A MONOPOLY AIRLINE -- TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. Response to my verbal complaints to the manager were polite, but obviously these people are jaded. This is a daily occurrence. They are aware of the issues but its an issue of a distant corporation unable/unwilling to manage the basic issues customers face daily. The saddest part is that they wanted to know what clerk I dealt with -- WRONG QUESTION. THEY WANT TO BLAME THE LOW-PAID CHECKOUT PEOPLE FOR NOT SOMEHOW HANDLING THE ISSUE AT THE COUNTER. THEY DONT WANT TO KNOW AT THE MANAGERIAL SIDE.

You wrote a review for Meijer 6 minutes ago 7/18/2017 Went to meijers. I shopped here all the time when we lived in Indiana. Relocated almost a year ago through General Motors. I walk in meijers really like the variety of everything, so I shop. Ready to go after spending to much money. Last things on list are lunch meats, and cheese. I go to deli, and pull a number. About 6 people in front of me. I notice the deli people are really slow. Now, Im not an impatient person. Not at all. I realize one Mexican girl, and one African American girl back there. The African American is really trying to help people. The other girl I asked how come she was not helping? She said she was, but now shes on break. I said to her with all these customers waiting? She did not respond, nor did she help the girl named Amber. I asked Amber her name to let you know she was really trying to help the customers it was just to many. Then as I walked away not helped I seen an older African American lady doing something, but not helping Amber to get those customers out. This was 7/17/17 around 5 something pm. Amber did a great job. The others need to understand teamwork and customers need help.

I was not happy with this Meijer location the last time I went here. I wanted to go after work, get a few things, and leave. When I got to the checkout, some item wouldnt scan... it wasnt in the system? I can understand that a product is not in the system, that there could have been some sort of error in shipping or processing by the store... that is not the issue. The issue came when the person running the self check out came over, took the item from me, and did not say anything to me. I didnt get a courteous "let me look into this for you" or an apologetic "Im sorry maam, but we cannot sell this item because for some reason it is not in our system"; I got silence. Now, I could have accepted the silence if this person would have come back and explained the situation in a timely manner (within a few minutes), but I had to wait 20 minutes and then couldnt even purchase the product. It was all and all a frustrating situation. The store itself was set up very nicely; organized similarly to a wal-mart; but I did not appreciate the lack of customer service provided.

Curbside pickup is amazing. There was one person ahead of me when I arrived and still I was in and out in 15 minutes or less with nearly $200 worth of groceries. I almost want to keep it a secret so its always as speedy as it was the first time for me, but if they maintain this level of service I wont ever shop for my own groceries again, and more importantly Ill get all my groceries at Meijer. It saves so much time its insane. If you can make a shopping list, you might as well just make an online order on your phone and spend less time wandering their aisles. Unless you like seeing whats new and buying random stuff, which is fun sometimes.

Its well-within walking distance to my home, so this is my go-to store for everything. Right now, a behemoth sinkhole is sucking the business from that corner of Fraser/Clinton TWP, but I still manage to go there for... Like I said, everything. The people working the Pharmacy are jerks, otherwise, I love this store. The food is fresh, and they carry all the typical fruits, veggies, and so on. Staff (beside pharmacy) is friendly and helpful. Whether you need groceries, hardware, a DVD to keep kids occupied for hours, birthday gifts, or what-not, they have it. If they dont, youll probably need to go to a specialty store.

I was there yesterday morning and I had a return but couldnt find my receipt. I had over 350 worth of products I purchased but had a family situation and needed the money. There was a young girl along with the manager who were nothing short of the 2 most heartless inconsiderate and uncaring people I have ever met in my life. This was all in customer service. The girl was way too young to be handling people in customer service. They gave me a nightmare about having my ID even though it went on a gift card. Horrible

Closest grocery store to me. I always hit the self scan check outs. But most the time the cashiers are rude and you can tell they dont want to be there. Theres this cashier who works the self check out who always gives me a hard time when i buy alcohol, im 23 and always have my license but she insists on asking me a million questions and watchs me like im stealing. Ive recently seen cashiers get pissed cause their lines were long and sigh loudly and roll their eyes to the people in line.
