Worst customer service experience Ive ever had in my life. Wouldnt even give it a star if I could. Went in to exchange some pint glasses that were chipped on the rim. Got exact replacements, came back up to the counter. Alexandria L, the woman behind the service desk (see her review of herself/store below) asked if I had a receipt. I said no, but I just wanted to make an even exchange. She said, "Well without a receipt I can only give you 30 day sale price". I was confused because, I wasnt asking for cash, I was just exchanging a broken item for the exact same item. I asked "What does that mean? She said "I can only give you the 30 day sale price." What does that MEAN I asked again. As in, could you explain a little more? Was the item on sale in the last 30 days or something? She then told me that I could exchange them, but Id have to pay the difference of $1.50! Huh? Whats this? Im making an even exchange due to defect, and Im being asked to pay $1.50? For the exact same thing? "30 day sale price" "30 day sale price" "30 day sale price" she kept saying meanwhile I stood there dumbfounded that she was not getting I was simply asking WHAT THAT MEANT. I dont care about $1.50! I care about UNDERSTANDING why I am being charged more. I get that I dont have a receipt. She kept saying "You dont have a receipt" like that was what I was confused about. "30 day sale price" she said again. Then she got on the phone and called her manager "I have a customer here that doesnt seem to get that I can only give him 30 day sale price." She got off the phone and said "The manager said we can take care of you this time." I said "great" and then said Id never heard of that and THEN she FINALLY EXPLAINED it. There was a sale in the last 30 days at where they were a lower price. I calmly said "THATS what I didnt understand.. Thats what you didnt explain." she immediately said YES I DID. I said "Look, Im not trying to be confrontational here but you definitely DID NOT tell me that, otherwise I wouldnt still be here." She responded by dialing up the rudeness to 11. She said "Well ITS SELF- EXPLANATORY." I was shocked. Which one is it? Did you explain it, or is it self-explanatory? I was just about to say just forget it, Ill keep my chipped ones and live with the chips. I SO did not care about the $1.50 either. It was not the money that was the issue, I just wanted to know WHY and got treated like I was being difficult just for asking! Whatever I paid was the price then, if its more now I still paid what it was supposed to be when I bought it! Even WITHOUT a receipt, I should be able to do this no problem. I would expect that policy if I were asking for cash, but again I was trying to make an IDENTICAL EXCHANGE. This was NOT the first time Ive ever been to a Meijer. This is NOT their policy. I got on the phone and made a complaint because I was so offended that I was treated like this. Got a reference number and everything. Then, I called back because now I wanted to know what the actual exchange policy was in this instance. AND SOMEHOW, whoever I was connected with this time was just as rude as good ol Alexandria L answered! I mentioned I had just called and complained about this person and that I wasnt calling to complain again but to find out what their actual policy is. I just wanted to know what was right. It took me some explaining, but eventually this guy spoke and said "She didnt have to do ANYTHING for you. Without a receipt, we dont even have to take it AT ALL. I was baffled. I know this is not the policy. I said "Im not trying to complain again, I just want to figure out your policy. Amazingly he said "Well why are you calling then? All youve done since youve called is complain... she did you a favor taking it at all." and he had the nerve to act like I was being cheap "If $1.50 is that big a deal..." I said "Seriously?", then he said "Let me transfer you" Again, I just wanted to understand, not the $1.50. Notice 1 of ONLY 4 POSITIVE ratings are Ashley L. herself, and employee?! Power trip much?!

C. Thanks.
I went to return an item, never left the return counter and a greeter ordered me to let her search my bag as I left? umm? I never left her sight? the buzzer didnt go off? WTF?!!?!? I CALLED TO COMPLAIN TO MANAGER AND THE MANAGER HUNG UP ON ME!??!!? I should have SUED THEM... SO WRONGFUL. another time I went, I calmly told the u scan woman I was before the person she was helping. because she helped 6 other people before me and I was getting impatient. She looked over at me raising her voice and said "IM ONLY ONE PERSON!" UMM... maybe you should do your job corretly, all I was asking for....

The fact that I cant buy just a single bed sheet that isnt under 20$ completely made me lose faith in the capitalist system all together. I went on this 20 minute rant at midnight complaing to this girl I like about my experience with the bedding selection of this particular establishment. Any shred of a chance with this women that I had is probably ruined now. Thanks Meijer, not like I had dreams. But I did add a star since these sheets are so nice Its like sleeping on a cloud blessed by the Holy Spirit.

Great selection, Great value, clean, spacious isles, great produce quality, good checkout experiences. Almost 5 start. Only drawback is that they seem to own be out-of-stock of the best-deal sale items when I go shopping (then again, I work afternoon shift, and often find myself shopping there at ~1am). Their checkout personnel are capable of filling rainchecks upon request, but the night shift seems a little less familiar with the process; sometimes some phonecalls have to be made.

This Meijer location is just okay. If you need assistance at the self check-out, you will be waiting for what feels like an eternity, especially if you are in a hurry. Although the self-checkout lanes are supposed to allow customers to be self-sufficient, the computers are so glitchy that you almost always need help. It doesnt help that the store under staffs these lanes because theyre supposed to be self-sufficient. Despite the checkout lanes, this Meijer is alright.

Been to this Meijer since 5th grade Im a college aged junior now. It could be updated and service could be better. Ive been accused of stealing even though I never have and have only been a loyal customer. Once the store gets updated and trains its staff better itll be a 5 but for now its a 3. I love Meijer and will forever be a loyal customer. Good prices and items.

Although I pretty much exclusively get my groceries here, during the evenings and late afternoons they generally have understocked shelves and it can be hard to find products, as it seems they dont really stock their shelves that often. Good prices, but they need to think that people will generally go grocery shopping after getting g off work at like 5 or 6 PM.
