A great family-run, old fashioned hardware store. I can bring in an item that is broken, missing screws, loose, or otherwise needing attention, and they always take the time and effort to find me the right parts. I am usually able to buy the part/item I need in small quantities to fit the job (who needs a box of 25 screws when one will do it?!) They also provide helpful advice on my various home projects. Their paint department is great at matching colors (I had a rug once....) Finally, my husband likes the free pop corn. Service, selection, location: Durst beats the Big Box stores, any day!

I purchased ( 5 ) 5/4 by 8 treated lumber. Telling the gentleman a the desk, it was for a deck repair. The lumber is 1/8 " thicker then standard, and 1/4" wider. It is nice material, but would not fit. So l went to the lumber dock. I get this kid telling me two pieces werent 8. They sold two pieces out of their stock, around 7 that had been cut with a chop saw. ( More than likely,their saw) miss cut, miss stocked. Then l had to deal with that punk, accusing me of cutting them. I made a living building, repairing, and fixing homes. Your store will never get my business again.

Durst staff are always helpful, always trying to work with me to understand what in the heck I am talking about/looking for... LOL I gladly pay a bit more, when that is the case, than at a big box store for the service and advice by very competent people. They sell fasteners by the piece, not the container, and are always willing to make an effort on my behalf. Im off to Durst today, as a matter of fact, to discuss snow blowers with them. I trust their advice.

Durst is my go-to place for hardware supplies. Its a far better shopping experience compared with the big box stores. They have a super helpful staff that has not steered me wrong. However, I have to dock them a star because their web site is a bit clunky. You also have to sign up for a program to get discounts that should be available all the time without the hassle.

They are so helpful here!!! I was looking for a dog tie out to tie to my deck and they helped create one for me... cut the wire, put on the hook so I could clip it to my dogs collar and created loops so I could safely tie it. They always help me find what I need and I love getting the popcorn while I am there too! Love shopping local at Durst Lumber Ace Hardware.

As the old jingle goes "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware...". This place is definitely "old school" and that is why I like it. Big box stores be damned; this is the real deal. Check out the 40+ year old genuine Alaskan Polar Bear in the front lobby. The owner bagged it on a hunting trip and shares it with all of us.

I just moved into the area in January and I was shocked and amazed with how helpful everyone is at this store. I have never had such grade A service at a hardware store. Big projects, little projects, and confusing projects they will get you what you need and explain why you need it for you project.

Durst is up there with Frentz and Sons Hardware, but I love getting my Ace Rewards and they also carry Lumber stored inside. However they no longer have storm windows which is disappointing. Staff is beyond helpful and who can beat their freshly made popcorn ☺.

Helpful and nice staff! We were in and out in less than 5 min. They took 1/2 inch off of two closet doors for just a couple bucks. Ill go to this place every time I need hardware, lumber or advice. Im never going back to HomeDepot again!
