I have lived around the block from Tevarrow Ace for the last 15 yrs. You think i would come here more often than make the 15 mins trek to Home Depot or Lowes. The fact is that the common hardware stuff, duct tape, furnace filters, etc..., is way over marked here Let alone being forced to buy sub par ACE brand for some items. Im all for the little guy but some items here are obviously used to boost profit. The final straw was when I took in a previously purchased unopened can of paint to be shaken up, I was denied. They told me they just installed new shakers and said they would only shake newly purchased paint. Really? So I drove to Home Depot and had my can shakened with no questions asked. Its sad when you have to go to these big box stores to give you the corner neighborhood store experience that Ace should be giving...

I went to Trevarrow today to buy a few things. The persons working the floor were very helpful. For them I would give a 5 star rating. The experience at the checkout was another story. The women working there was complaining about not getting help from her workmates. I customer placed some items on the counter, letting her know 4 times that he was returning the items but wanted to shop a little, the cashier finally acknowledged him ,without looking at him, with a little more than a grunt. Then she continued with my transaction never looking up at me while she complained to one of her regulars in line. Kind of made me feel like I was a nuisance.

The wonderful people truly make the store and the plumbing service great! Ive been a regular to the store these past 7 years and have never had a bad experience. The people are courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable without being over-bearing. I tried their plumbing service for the first time just recently and couldnt have had a better experience. Not only did they charge much less than one of the "national" companies, but they explained what they were going to do and did only what was needed. Great plumbers, great people, and great experiences. Theyre my go-to plumbing service going forward...

Has a huge variety of repair parts than you can find in Home Depot. There are a lot of odd products which will help your project. Go outside the Depot. Of course, the price is no match to the Home Depot. But price is not everything. These guys know the products they sell. And I found their Benjamin Moor Regal paint is very good. The unique matte sheen is good balance between flat and eggshell. And the paint magically does not spatter out of roller or does not drip from brush. Expensive, but worth the money.

Best hardware store around! Love it for the customer service and the feel of by-gone almost extinct true hardware store; hand over some loose or broken parts/pieces and come out with a solution or new parts. I always could find what I wanted here, that I dont visit the competitors big box stores anymore. Parking is plenty and well maintained, and in the summer they always have select weekends where they showcase Weber grills with yummy grilled samplings outside.

I have remodeled 7 homes and have used all the stores over the years, and not one has ever come close to having this many people who know what they are doing. If you want an answer and attention when you walk in, then this is the first class store your looking for, second to none. Just stop in and see for yourself. Thanks to places like this, you can live in the city and get small town attention. Plumbing is their specialty.

I recently went to the store to purchase a new hose for the wand on my kitchen Delta faucet which started leaking. A store employee told me that, rather than pay him for a new hose, I should call Delta who might send me one for free. I called Delta and they are sending me the hose for free. That is terrific service. I will definitely shop this store for all my plumbing and hardware needs.

Best service I have ever experienced ANYWHERE. One gentlemen spent 20 minutes with me directing me to the right hardware and cutting everything to length for me. These guys are KNOWLEDGEABLE. This is my first stop shop. Home Depot/Lowes will be second.
