I brought my English bulldog in today for a nail trimming. The woman brought him back and tried to just tie his leash to the table which didnt work well for her because he wouldnt stay still. So she decided to lift my 62 lb bulldog up by his front shoulders with his body dangling, to put him on the table. First of all, if you dont know how to properly pick a dog up without being harmful what are you doing working as a groomer? She proceeded to buff his nails and let him almost back himself off the table and be hung by his collar until I said something. She acted like I and my dog were being a huge inconvenience. When he was done she rolled her eyes at me as I walked out the door. When I got him home he still had several nails that were long and buffed down at awkward angles. This was my first and last experience dealing with petco for grooming!

Made what is likely my last trip to the Battle Creek store today. I am tired of not being able to walk INTO the store and down the main aisle because its adoption day. Not against rescue, against them being in the way so that no one else can even walk. I was unable to shop the toy display that I wanted to because today that was the office where the table was set up with people crowded all around it. Ive had to give up bringing my dogs with me because of this, and now I wont be coming either. Chewy.com is cheaper and easier....bu-bye

Poor. We took our yorkie-poo to get fully groomed and said we wanted him to have the Yorkie cut. They kept him for almost two and a half hours. They called to have us pick him up said he was done. We got there to pick him up and basically nothing was done. The hair around his face was very uneven. His hair on his body wasnt even touched. His nails were not clipped nor was his ears cleaned. She claimed she gave him a bath but he didnt smell like she did. We will never take our animals back there to get anything done to them.

I took my rescued Maltese in to be groomed. When I returned and was petting her, I felt several knots in her fur and asked why they remained. The groomer told me that they would be happy to shave her for me, but the mats could not be taken out any other way. I went to another local groomer two days later. The dog had 5 mats. This groomer needed only an hour to groom her correctly. The people at Petco were very nice. I would consider them if all you need is a wash and a simple trim.

I come here for specialty items only (medicine, etc). The items are pricey even when on sale and the selection is not the best. I have used the grooming here before and its not too bad. I would rather go to Meijer for any food or treats I might need. If there was a Pet Smart in the area I would use that instead.

It was ok but I couldnt get much help for what I needed, I finally got it but it took me a while to find it or a person to help me, so I really dont give it 5 stars. Sorry!

If you are looking to buy reptiles not a good place . unless you would like frogs. No snakes always out . also need more employees. Not much help .
