My aim was to fix my front break since a bolt fell out and lost during the ride and this was my first time to visit here. This shop was great because... (1) The staff was kind and polite For example, hearing my problem, he gave me the bolt I lost and he said he preserve some parts just in case for customer just like me. I could also borrow tools I needed to fix the break. He also adjusted the tightness of a break in the back as well. He also told me some piece of information what are the role of the each bolts on the break. (2) Not just profit centered I did pay nothing for all things I had above. (3) The other customers seemed very satisfied When I was at the shop, there was four other customers in the shop but they seemed repeater for this shop and looked very comfortable waiting and chatting with the staff which implied the establishment of the trust between customer and the clark. I definitely visit this place next time I need pats or any problems. I went to Campus student bike shop as well but this place was better. Hope Campus student bike shop become such a nice shop as well.

Staff is exceedingly knowledgeable and friendly. Need some extra tape for some lose grip on your bars? They got you covered. Need some air in your tires, youre good to go. I always go in for little things here and there and they take care of me like an old friend would. They dont charge for the little things, so I take my business here whenever I have bigger services to be taken care of. On more than one occasion I have had same day service. Prices are very fair and service is always fast. Much faster than the big chain stores like performance bike and REI. Both who have wait times that can last weeks during busy season. This is truly your local bike shop run by a bunch of locals who love fixing and riding bikes. Wont take my bike anywhere else.

I cant believe its taken me this long to write a review for this place. Im not really sure where to start, so I guess Ill begin by saying that this is without a doubt the best bike shop in Ann Arbor (and possibly the entire Midwest). Fast, skilled, friendly- these are the first 3 words that come to mind when thinking of how to describe the shop. Brad, the owner, is a master in all things bicycle-related. I used to live in Boulder, CO, and the service Ive received from Brad easily surpasses anything I experienced out west. If youre looking for excellent quality that is underpriced, I strongly recommend that you come here.

Im a fan. I brought in my bike for some repairs, they repaired the bike, and now it rides better than ever. Nothing that any bike shop couldnt have done. What won me over, however, was that when I told the guy that someone stole all the mounts off my handle bars (mounts for lights, and my bell), the guy started pulling out lights, bells, etc. to give to me for free. I doubt Ill have a need to go back before I move out of the area, but if I did, Transition is definitely where Id go. My only complaint is that I wish they had a larger space, while still being located downtown.

This place is amazing. Ive had my bike 10 years and havent gotten it serviced once, so stuff started to go wrong this year. Took my bike here because the tire went flat, and they fixed it in about 20 minutes for $15. They did a great job! Took it back a few weeks later to get the break pads replaced and that took about a day and cost me $25, but it was a great job and very worth it. Overall, very friendly and fast service! A great place!

If youve made it this far down the reviews, listen to what everyone is saying. These guys are the best, fix things promptly, fix things right, and have fair prices. Having came in twice off the street for repairs (one flat tire and broken break, and snapped off my pedal), they took my bike and fixed it the same day. Just go here. Youll be happy you did. Transition racks, and the owner, are simply the best.

Transition Rack is what a bike shop should be. Drop in for a chat, get your bike fixed TODAY, (vs. getting on a long waiting list), and of course, get a new ride from a great selection of bikes. The staff is very knowledgeable on bikes, gear, training, and causes of strange things in the universe! Visit the shop and you always be greeted with a warm smile to make you feel welcome!

I was only in here for a hot second- my u lock was seized up because its old and was out in the rain too much. They oiled it up and managed to get the key out. I was in a real pickle biking all the way here and having my lock not work. They were friendly and efficient and I really appreciate it! Definitely coming back here in the future for any repairs or parts I might need!

Fantastic. Firstly the worker clearly knew what he was talking about. Secondly, he was very nice, polite, and clearly had my best interests at heart. He advised based on what was the best actions for me and not necessarily the best actions of the shop. He didnt try to pressure me into buying anything. Would definitely go there again.

I went in to buy a new road bike that I could use for triathlons. Brad showed me a few different bikes and let me take them out for test rides as well. After my purchase, he had me come back at my convenience so that we could make adjustments to the bike so that it fit me perfectly. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and kind!

Great little store with friendly/knowledgeable staff and great bikes. Trust me when I say that their recommendations are top notch and they carry all the highest quality gear/components and accessories (ie. Skratch Labs drink mix, Lezyne pumps, Chrome bags). As a bonus, they love talking bikes, training and/or racing.

This is the best bike shop Ive been to. The staff is friendly and helpful (and may cheer for you at local events), the prices are great, you wont be talked into unnecessary repairs, and the merchandise is all high quality. I had to move away from Ann Arbor, and this bike shop is one of the things Im missing most.

I usually try to take business reviews with a grain of salt, but all the reviews for the Transition Rack are true to their word; I do not think I will go to any other shop for my biking needs. The prices are fair and their staff are friendly. If you need any bike-related assistance, these folks are your best bet.

Any time I need something repaired, something new, or something answered, I go to Transition Rack. The staff is friendly, helpful and always willing to answer any questions. If they dont have what you need in shop, they are happy to order it for you. Its right in town and all the staff know bikes inside and out.

Great shop, great service, great products, friendly owners and employees. Have purchased a complete bike, as well as some bicycling bits and bobs.Currently going through a multi-week process of testing saddles to determine which to purchase. They are extremely patient and helpful. Thanks TR, Dave Hirt
