The first part got 5 stars - the buying experience. My wife and I went to several bike shops to look at the different bikes and get help from the shop sales folks as it has been 35 years since we had bikes. Just didnt find the right bikes and not overly satisfied with the shop help. At D&D we had a different experience. Derek was the fellow who helped us. He asked us a number of questions to get a good understanding of what kind of biking we would be doing. Long story short, we wound up with a bike (same one for both of us) that when we first took a test ride we felt very much at home on it. And after a number of miles we still felt the same - it was an excellent decision. Kudos to Derek for a job well done. The second part not so hot. My bike was in stock in the store but my wifes bike had to come in from the Berkley store. We were told that the bike would come in on Thursday - by early evening (around 6PM). The bike would then be checked over and readied for her - lights and a trip computer). I called late afternoon to confirm that the bike was either there or on the way. No one seemed to know and I was told I would receive a call back in about an hour. I did and was told the bike did not make it on the truck from the Berkley store - a mix up. I was asked when I would like the bike I said the next day by 4PM and D&D said they would have it there. I called the next day in the afternoon and the bike was there. We got there around 5:30 PM giving them some extra time to check out the bike. We were on our way out the door when my wife looked and said that neither the lights nor the trip computer were installed. So we waited for that and then left. So the bike came in and sat on the floor without anyone checking it over. So overall I gave D&D 4 stars. Still strongly recommend buying a bike from D&D - very knowledgeable about bikes and that far outweighs any shipping service issues.

I went to the shop on 12 mile b/c I heard about Mohamed from 2 people. I explained my bike was making a clinking noise. The young man offered to assist and took bike to tighten but it did not resolve,(the 2 sales guys were quite pleasant) so he suggested that Mohamed take a look. OK, 1st he seemed irritated...he asked me how old and where I got bike from and how much I spent. I told him where and cost. He looks and rides briefly, and say that I need new parts, that frame is good but parts used are basically junk work. He then proceeds to show me his $8500 Schwinn and tells me I get what I pay for. Says hes just giving me my options to get fixed for over $100 or get a better bike. So Maya A. profound statement is true here. Its not what you say or do, its how I was made to feel...Like Im not a real bike rider, cause my bike didnt cost a lot of $$. So I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU HAVE AN 8500 DOLLAR BIKE...Thanks Mohamed for temporary discouragement! Good thing I am not phased so easy.

I was in the area looking for bikes, "tire kicking" as I call it, and they were super helpful even though it was clear I was not going to be buying a bike that day. They threw peddles on a road bike for me to test drive and spent about 20 minutes searching their satellite stores for the bike I knew I could afford without trying too hard to sell me on a more expensive model. Just the right balance of salesmanship and customer service. I also saw a gentleman come in while I was there, complaining up a storm about a month-old tune up experience (which probably wasnt their fault by the sounds of it) and they took care of him without any issue and swallowed the labor cost of fixing the problem for him. I will choose this bike store if i decide to go for a new Trek.

Ok so it is not a huge bike store. But you get what you get when you are in Brighton. I have been there 3 times and got great service 2 out of 3 times with the one time a lady just not really knowing exactly what she was talking about. On the other side I had a guy who was very helpful, knowledgeable and willing to set up a time when a part was not in stock. If I was in a bigger city this store would be 2 out of 5, but you get what you get when you are in Brighton...and this store suits the small town that I live in. Thank you so far. To help the people looking at reviews of where to go. Dont go out of your way to visit this store, but if you are local they will get what you need.

I recently took my bike in there to have it repaired and this is not the first time Ive taken it in there to have it repaired and EVERY time they have to order parts, they have very few parts on hand. And they only place orders on Friday, and it has to be so much money otherwise you might have to wait until the following week until the order is placed. Consequently you might have to wait over a week just for the parts to come in. They should give you the option to pay extra to have the part over nighted, but they do not. This is a management decision and management there needs to be greatly improved. I do not recommend you take your bike there for a repair.

They cant keep an employee for a week. I spent 1400 bucks on a bike and liked the service guy that sold it to me last year, since then every time I go in they have new people that dont know what theyre doing. Buy your bike online, if you need a repair fix it yourself this place is a joke.

I went here with my dad. I got a trek marlin 5, his had to get assembled. so we had to wait a few days. a few days later, we went to go pick up his bike, and they made the wrong size. then we went to go eat. other than that, its an okay place. wouldnt go back here to get our bikes fixed.

Stopped in today for some insight about different mountain bikes. Patrick was knowledgeable and friendly and was able to tell us everything we needed to know plus more. Just based on how he talked about the different options and answered every question to a "T" has my business.

Finally a true bike shop... If you want your bike taken care of by a pro this is your place. They are a great addition to our community and having been a cyclist for over 15 years i have used many bike shops and none compare to Hometown. Thank you!!!!
