Walked into the store with the intention of returning thermostats of which I had my receipt for 2, the other 2 were older models. I was stopped at the door by greeter, who was very nice, I explained I was not sure I was going to return them - (as I changed my mind about the return as I walked in the door) and that I was going to purchase others. I went to the register with 4 other more expensive thermostats to purchase. Cashier asked to look in my bag and wanted to look at receipt. I obliged...she was new...The receipt was for more thermostats than were in the bag, clearly I was not intending to return all of them. I explained that I spoke with greeter near customer service. She proceeds to call customer service who knows nothing of my convo with greeter. Time is passing I now feel like she thinks I stole the thermostats. Line is growing, shes still trying to get someone to confirm I walked in the door with the bag. I left my merchandise behind. This store needs to train employees better or come up with something new for loss & prevention. Spoke with mgr. store policy is to check bags & receipts and make customers feel like thieves. He apologized - too late damage done. Wont shop at Taunton again.

Bought carpet from these guys and was given a gift card. The gift card had a timelimit on it (<4 months!!!). When I tried to use it, I found out that it was worthless. The cashier took it and threw it away right in front of me. I told her there was always Lowes right up the street. My other experience was in buyng barbed wire. No one knew what it was and one clerk rudely admonished me saying "isnt that illegal?". My last encounter was in buying a gate construction set. I bought one there and it worked great. So I went back later to buy another, and I was told that they were no longer carrried. In my concern I contatcted the manufactorer of the gate set to buy one directly from them. The gate company assured me that they still had a marketing arrangement with HD. The gate company, not HD, contacted me directly to let me know that the store had my desired products in stock "again". I guess my overall experience has beens poor custormer service resulting from under-trained and un-motivated staff.

My husband and I have always chosen to shop at Home Depot stores. We have spent thousands of dollars over the years on remodels. We purchased a vanity over a year ago for $299. Turns out we need a bigger vanity. Since the one we purchased was still in its original box and brand new we inquired if we could return it without a receipt and get a store credit to purchase other items we need. (They currently have the same model displayed and in stock for $299.) The cashier scanned the box and $299 came up. However, the final store credit would only be $75.02. We were obviously disappointed and asked to speak to the store manager who was arrogant and of no help at all. They just lost 2 faithful customers and many more by not providing good ethical customer service. I guess we will be shopping Lowe"s from now on.

This place is such a dump..the staff has absolutely no clue.. About their department every aisle is a complete mess.. They dont even make an effort to clean up all the rows of lumber are just thrown all over the place I was trying to do a return and the manager was so rude to me I need this help with something I tried to explain to him that Id spent $4000 there in 2 weeks and he just walked away from me if you have a home improvement project do yourself a huge favor and go to Lowes the selection is better

massive snow storms in MA over the past few weeks with Taunton getting 5+ feet of snow and the Taunton Home Depot has been out of snow blowers for weeks now and went to get a second bucket of salt for the ice.... guess what?! They are all out of salt too! They were out of the bags of salt 2 weeks ago, so I had to purchase a bucket but, now they are out of buckets too! Whoever is responsible for inventory, is doing a very poor job!!!

It is home depot, has everything your looking for usually cheaper than other places, staff is a big hit or miss sometimes they know exactly what you need and half the time I wonder how they got themselves dressed this morning. Help response time is terrible, had to wait 20 minutes for someone to make a key because the 5 people I asked didnt know how but called someone who did and nobody would actually show up.

The people in the Pro Dept are 5 STAR, I had a great experience with them. On the other hand I had been very disappointed with the customer service desk. Depending on who you deal with you could have a great experience or a really bad one. Some of the people at Home Depot go above & beyond, they are polite, pleasant, and helpful. There just needs to be more of them

Terrible customer service and the stock was minimal at best. Asked one employee where the Edison bulbs where he and the group of employees he was with ignores me and kept talking. Lady at the register was pissed she had to actual scan each item. Sorry I made you work for your pay. Just an awful experience. Make lowes look fantastic though.

Very middle of the road. If you know what you want, and know where to get it, you are golden. Else...maybe not so much. Some employees know their stuff, though others, not so much. It always seems like when we need stuff for remodel, we have to special order. But garden section is pretty nice.
