Nutshell... If you want half assed service, by people that probably know less about the vehicle than you do. By all means, Take your equipment to Silko! After 3 attempts to get my Car fixed, and $700 spent, I left once again with a check engine light illuminated. Being told by everyone, that the car has 100,000 miles on it, so it really should be considered old and unfixable... I thought Hondas are supposed to last forever? First Visit: Was told that the evaporative system needed to be replaced, illuminating the MIL. Seemed like a reasonable explanation for a Code that referenced the evap canister. So even though I went through the HELM manual step by step, and checked all of the components finding no faults, I figured that a dealership had better diagnostic equipment. $480 to replace the components, and a 6 hour wait. 6 Days later, Engine light back on... Same code P1457 Second Visit: Service manager was no problem to deal with, but said that the code that they were reading was different, and indicated a low oil scenario... Even though I used my OBDII scanner in the parking lot and retrieved the evap code, and the oil levels were normal. But once again... figured I was in the wrong. This time they only charged me for the oil change that would bring the oil levels back up, and cleared the "Code". 3rd Visit: $115 dollars and a 4 hour wait to tell me that the same P1457 Code was due to a blown ECU... Which I suspected was the case from my original diagnostics, and is a common fault with Hondas of this era. Honda apparently accidently designed something to go from a simple fix to a catastrophic failure. So I was told by a seemingly fresh out of trade school mid 20s kid that the ECU would continue to degrade to the point that I would probably break down (had no idea what he was talking about). If you dont know about the problem, dont make up a bunch of dimwitted lies.. I happen to know Everything there is to know about this problem... So I need a new ECU. No Problem. 4th Visit: I obtain an ECU from a wrecker with a very specific product code that I was instructed to retrieve by the parts dept. (who are very helpful). I bring it in, and wait for an hour and a half to be told that it is the wrong part number. same service kid, same incorrect misinformed information. Tech was giving me a new part number, which is actually used on a non California Emissions ULEV vehicle, and would certainly not work in the vehicle. So I get upset, and take out my frustration on the dimwitted service kid, as he has now copped a know it all attitude... He told me they would never work on the car again, which is fine with me... as they have NO clue what they are doing. Instead of taking my car to the convenient-to-my-work dealership, I take it to one down the street from my home address. They use the same ECU that I gave Silko, flash the keys(which Silko said wouldnt work) and my car has had a miraculous recovery. Well played Silko Service. Hopefully you get all the air filter changes in your quota this month!

My husband and I were the last customers in the dealership this past Saturday (4/1/17, no, this is not an April fools). We tried out the 2013 Honda Insight that is advertised online for $9796. We knew this was a good price, especially with the car having only $46k miles. Test drove, went in to talk with the dealer about numbers, etc. My husband asked what type of payments are we looking at. Our sales guy said hed have to fill out a basic credit ap to get my husbands score. My husband knew his score, he checked this morning. Told the sales guy, we were told this is what had to happen to get a ball park on payments. After about ten minutes or so (during which we decided we would buy the car) the sales guy came back. He proceeded to walk us through everything they had done to the car to get it ready. He reminded us how wonderful the car was. Then he finally got down to business... a bill of sale. Down in the lower left corner, the certification fee of $895, and a fee for all the work theyd done on the car, which was also $895. He explained that when we looked at the ad online and it said that accessories werent included in the price, this was what it referred to. Suddenly the car cost almost $1800 more than the advertised price. I pulled out my phone and read the ad and its pricing disclaimer three times, before handing it to him and asking him to show me where it said there would be extra costs. He could not, after about five to seven minutes of clicking through screens on my phone. Heres the disclaimer: Vehicle pricing includes all offers and incentives. Tax Title and Tags not included in vehicle prices shown and must be paid by the purchaser. Nothing about accessories that may cost more. The salesman said, hey, its a car dealer, this is the start of the negotiation process. The Sales Manager came over and asked what can we do to sell you this car today? I explained that we would not be paying either of those add on fees as that is a bait and switch tactic, and named a price that we would pay for the car. He asked, if I get rid of these fees and sell you the car for xxx, do we have a deal? We agreed that we did, and we felt a LITTLE better about the situation. However, the dealership apparently owned the car for exactly $9796 and couldnt go a penny lower (so much for it being a dealership and the start of the negotiation process). We walked out. Incredibly frustrated by the tactics used here. We really liked our sales guy, and I would have felt really great about the place had they not practiced such pricing tactics. The sales man admitted that he cant find the language he referenced on the site, but can find it in a print ad. Typical car sale experience.

Purchased 2013 nicely recon clean Accord sport.Pretty happy after playing tug of war and 1960 used car tactics.Ok got my deal Newspaper ad was a get you in the door technique. Got up and walked but got my deal. Dont trust the service department or Sales for they LIE and distort the truth there employees must be under some sort of "you better sell" or your gone mandate.I can see that goes for sales if you cant close a deal but not service. No training, Hello the internet sells the cars now!! Checked out the sales department looking for original salesman and manager "dont work here no longer".approx 6 months has past.Thought they be able to help.Huge turnover rate Completely mismanaged to the point of incompetent. "Nothing I can do" is an unacceptable answer. Bumper to bumper warranty useless. I hate being negative but after asking for a return call from someone thats going to be helpful I had to write this review. BTW service Mgr and general mgr where on vacation or unavailable when requested to speak with them. Pay or bring a lawyer to decipher all the outs for you, they have an out in there somewhere believe me. Pulled my sons car out of there after being extorted $120.00 diagnostic fee.Should have been covered with small deductible But left unrepaired Lost wheel lug remover in process had several on desk of Service advisor none of which were ours. "You can buy another at the parts dept" was my answer. But they lost it!! You just get the overall ambiance that there are unhappy employees just trying to get the day over with. Heres the good part for us anyway Ended up at a competitor dealer completely different experience not only had the ABS modulater they wanted $1500 for even retail its around $800.Got it done for around $200 after a call to Honda Corporate office by there service manager. Silko refused to even offer to do this for us. My family has purchased several Hondas from Silko going back 30 years. I dont know if Mr Silko is still owner or alive for that fact.Company has taken a nose Dive into the ground and they should be ashamed . Wifes car 2010 purchased from Silko with 160k flawless miles will be given to grand daughter. When we pick up 2016 accord Wednesday from the dealer that helped out with sons 2013 less than 6 months ago. You lose Silko, Hondas sell themselves, dealers there are many to chose from and repeat customers make the difference. I get plenty with my own company. The whole experience was terrible. Silko Unfortunately I cannot recommend you, although I have in the past.BTW I Didnt want to give any stars but it wont post with 0.
