My one star is solely for the woman in the kitchen and the night manager that I delt with. The cashiers are always friendly. But the woman in the kitchen was extremely rude when I thought that I should order fried chicken from her rather than getting it off of the hot plate, and even more rude when I called her after getting home and realizing that the 2 breasts that I had paid for were missing from the 8 piece chicken I got. When I called, she treated me like an idiot, and then told me that she didnt have any chicken to replace it so I d just have to talk to the store manager tomorrow . When I asked to speak to the shift manager, she hung up on me. I had only spoken to this woman with respect, and she was just dreadful to me. When I called back to speak with the store manager, he did make it right by telling me he would refund me or get me what I ordered, but he wouldnt even let me finish the story. Before I even got to the fact that she hung up on me, he told me to "quit while I was ahead." I was being SO polite to these people! What is up with the rudeness?!

I really like Market Basket....fresh food, good prices, helpful people. The only thing i find fault with is how my groceries are bagged.every time I ask the bagger to try to divide the heavy items evenly between the bags I provide. They always smile and say "o-kay" and then proceed to bag them however they want. It doesn"t seem that they have ever been trained.Today I had a frozen food bag with me that I purchased at MB.The bagger put most of my cold foods in a regular bag.Its very odd to me. people should be trained so that they can do their job properly. Please see if this can be improved upon. Thank you.

Meat selection: good Produce selection: ok - random Which is surprising as the one in Chelsea is outstanding Bakery selection: good Dairy selection: good Customer service: Good Overall a good store. On a couple of occasions, I had to grab produce elsewhere. But I assume its the traffic of summer people who wipe out the store

This supermarket is excellent. Friendly, helpful employees, lots of options and prices are significantly better than at any other supermarket in our area. It came along when all costs of living started to climb and kept their prices low and so helped many families in our area. Market basket is our supermarket for ever!

Pros: Great Prices, big store setup to offer a good selection, and its a nice clean store. Cons: Poor inventory management - Frequently out of items, so they put whatever else they have in place of the item thats normally supposed to be in that spot. Young staff frequently loud, obnoxious behavior.

I love shopping at Market Basket, and I miss it ever time i shop at other super markets in Virgina (where i now live). The produce is fresh, the prices are good, and the selection is great. They also have a good deli counter.

Prices continue to climb. Youre trip will be marked by stockers blocking the aisles. They are consistently "waiting for a truck," so plan to make another trip elsewhere for the items unavailable at MB.

Its Market Basket. Old school grocery store. There are a few male employees who are sketchy like carnival operator sketchy. Other than that Peter the store manager is pretty friendly.
