TERRIBLE SERVICE! Its hard not to draw comparisons between Trader Joes and Whole Foods. They are the Coke and Pepsi of the predominantly organic grocery store world. Maybe it would be more apropos to compare two brands of coconut water, but I dont know two brands of coconut water. Ive had Zico and I liked that. But, anyway, Whole Foods has a great selection, and while the Trader Joes brand is charming, affordable, and usually includes what you need, you have to give the edge to Whole Foods. But, Whole Foods - especially this location - cant come close to TJs when it comes to customer service. I dont know how they do it, if they profit-share or if they spike the water, but their employees are always cheerful and eager to help. Theyre genuinely personable in a way that doesnt feel like some contrived product of corporate customer service brainwashing. Although, at Whole Foods, corporate customer service brainwashing would be a welcomed upgrade from the robotic hipster arrogance that oozes out of their employees like patchouli oil at an Indigo Girls concert. My family and I have had several bad experiences with the staff whereby well ask for some assistance and theyll look at us as if to say "youre asking me to answer this as if... its my job or something". Sadly, we need them for their free range chicken and what not. This make the Hulk angry. You wouldnt like me when Im... annoyed with your aloof staff.

I have started shopping at this location on a regular basis. Perhaps the other reviewers have had issues but my experience has mostly been very good. When it comes to service at the meat department, the service and helpfulness has exceeded my expectations and I would rate that part of the store as "excellent". I have, however, run into some young shelf-stockers who seem to have a bit of an attitude when I have pointed out that the organic flour and sugar bins were empty and requested they go and get what I needed. They did go and get what I needed and restocked the bins but I refuse to stop shopping there just because of a couple of bad attitudes. I have had other experiences where an employee has spent considerable time helping me locate a product or find out if it could be ordered. These make up for the occasional teeny-bopper attitude. Perhaps my age (I am 63) makes me a little crusty but I rather enjoy insisting on good service regardless of attitude..call me a mean old lady...I dare ya!

You can pay exorbitant prices for long lines, long waits, slow cashiers and lousy customer service. TWICE now I have asked deli people to check for one specific ingredient and they provided incorrect information. This ridiculous policy of not providing ingredients for customers to read independently was instituted years ago to encourage "communication" between "team" members and busy customers. I am NOT interested in unnecessary communications with folks at Whole Foods, sorry. Are you? I personally am most interested in getting in and getting out as quickly as possible and getting information which Whole Foods has decided should not be readily available to customers. Unfortunately, this store is a nothing short of a nightmare. One can get better service in the third world.

one of the best Whole Foods around, and by far the best grocery in the North Shore. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and most have been there for a number of years. Great selection (usually) but like all groceries are subject to what comes in and whats available. The overall store layout is excellent, with plenty of room to get around. Very family and kid-friendly. When our son was younger he always loved to play in the childrens section that looks like a mini grocery. For the quality, the prices are generally reasonable, and whats more if anything ever goes bad they will immediately refund you. The baggers actually know how to fill the bags without crushing everything, a skill which basically ALL other grocery stores seem uninterested in teaching their staff.

Whole foods had a fussy rep, but this is the not-fussy whole foods branch. I love this place! The staff is warm friendly, and there is a core of permanent people who clearly love this place and make it a neighborhood store more than a chain. You go to lynnfield for glitz, but you go to the salem whole foods to feel like you are in your neighborhood. On top of that, their salads, soups, and dinners are good. Plenty of parking, Vinnin liquors next door if you want wine, and a short drive to the beach. Local, friendly, real.

I go there for some things but not for others. For example, theire Suchi is absolutely disgusting while their salad bar and deli (fish) is always fresh... always well organized and courteous diverse staff. Not really buying into the while non GMO labels as it has been shown (even WF admitted) that not all products are 100% verified. So not quite sure why the astronomical prices. For example their Platanitos (platain chips) cost $5.99 when I can get the same product for $2.99.

Love Whole Foods on the variety of vegan slash vegetarian options however their prices are of the highest of grocery stores. With that said I go here occasionally to get some things I cant find it other places that are vegan but I dont go shopping there all the time because I would be spending far too much. But Whole Foods is good and the stories usually kept and they treat their employees decently it seems so other than being pricey I cant really complain too much.

Yes, this is Whole Paycheck, but if good food is important to you, you are (mostly) getting what you pay for. The real stars here are the immense number of pre-prepared foods, good sushi, excellent produce, and great fish. Be smart and buy the wild salmon vs. the farm raised here, its much better. The place where things get spendy are in the packaged foods. If you stick to the perimeter youll get some of the best groceries in the area.

The layout of this suburban Whole Foods store leaves much to be desired. Despite occupying a huge space in a free-standing building, Ive found myself wandering this store repeatedly in search of particular items that somehow end up being out-of-the-way each time. Ive found most of the "team members" to be various degrees of unhelpful or uninspired on the occasions Ive had questions. Im general, this is an okay Whole Foods store.

I shop here once a week. I started looking over my receipts because my food bill was unusually high. I noticed I was getting charged for products I was not purchasing as well as getting charged for multiple quantities of produce when I only bought a single item. This has happened to me several times in the last couple months. Needless to say, I am no longer a Whole Foods shopper.

Worst hotfood bar ever. Seriously. . Its all burnt and disgusting. Work in the area and frequent for lunch.. I went 4days in a riw and witnessed the same burnt nasty mac & cheese out.. I knew it was tge same because of the piece of broccoli in it. So gross. The pizza is way overpriced.. sandwichs are ok. I WANT A WEGMANS GROCERY! !! SCREW WHOLE FOODS!

Great spot. Easily seen from street and able to find parking on a busy Saturday shop o ing day. The staff was engaging, professional, and friendly. Very pleased to know they are in my community, as I am new to the area.
