I was in the Coolidge Corner store on November 4, 2010, around 4pm. There were 3 people ahead of me. One woman waited around, went up to a service rep and was asked if she had checked in at the computer. Apparently, she had not, so she was told to check in. Rather than helping her check in, the rep watched her as she went out the door. I waited about 20 minutes and asked twice about service. One of the reps went out the door while 2 of us were waiting; perhaps he hadnt had lunch yet? I asked about service again, after two reps had gone to the back office. I was told that I could have done my business over the phone, and the person who spoke to me said he was busy with another customer who was going to come back and that he was trying to "fit me in". Rather than "bothering this rep", I decided to walk out. Do you think it matters that the first person who walked out was African American and that I was Asian-American? I dont like to think so, but when I cannot get service from one out of 6 reps, I wonder. Do something to make your service better. I pay $360 a month to Verizon. HMS Class of 76, MD

Went here to get a new phone recently and was treated to standard customer service. The person wasnt horrendously bad or spectacularly great. He seemed to know what he was talking about and didnt try to scam me into picking something other then what I came in for. Will say, he kept mumbling about how he was starving and feeling faint. Um, should I back up to give you room? This wasnt my first time in the store. Ive been here a few times since Jan 2014 to buy phone related accessories. Sometimes, the place is like a graveyard; no one is on the floor and I have to wait about five minutes. However, Ive had similar experiences, both good and bad in all Verizon stores Ive ever been in. Ill confess, my expectations are not all that high. This place does do the job in a pinch so I wouldnt write it off as being unnecessary. If you need something from Verizon, this would be decent place to go for assistance.

Horrible customer service. The manager was unwilling to change my sim card because I "had not been under the plan for six months". I told him when I purchased the pre-paid phone the the sales associate at the location in Cambridge said I would be able to "change the sim after 30 days.". The manager had no idea what I was talking about and when he finally understood what I was trying to do informed me that they could not change a sim unless I had been under the plan for 6 months (completely made-up), and since they told me 30 days in Cambridge I would have to go there to honor that deal. When I called VZW customer support they told me all pre-paid smartphones could be reactivated after 30 days. The manager lied to me and wasted my time. I would STRONGLY recommend the Harvard Sq location if you dont want to get lied to.

Absolutely terrible customer service. the overweight white man lied to me about my account, and when I called him out on it he said he would refuse to help me. I had to call my mother (Im an authroized user but shes the account holder) and he told me that if i did that in front of him, he would have me leave the store. he then told me that i had to call a number to have the problem fixed, which ended up not fixing my problem becuase he gave me the wrong information. when i went back and told them, they said it would be okay and to do something else, which again did not work and involved lying. No one was apologetic, and the overweight white guy was exceptionally rude and offensive to me. im going later today and i can jjust pray i dont have to speak to fat man or shane.

These are literally the most useless liars I have ever encountered. Go to any other Verizon in Boston. I had a problem with my phone which required me to have to get a new one. Not only did they give me attitude about it, but when they placed the order they told me it would definitely be here the next day. It did not come, so I figured maybe i missed the next day shipping deadline, and it still did not come. I called the hotline and they wound up calling the store and they said there was a problem with the warehouse but it would be here the next day. This was a complete fabrication. The order was never placed and they kept lying to me and to Verizon customer service instead of fixing the problem. Never go here. Go to any other Verizon in Boston.

I have been to this same store 3 times and had 4 or 5 different people. The manager there needs to do some customer service training with their employees. Everything I needed done, they always give an excuse as to why it cant be done. Simple things like I ordered a black phone and they gave me a blue phone, can I get a black phone as I ordered. I have found 75% of the people working there not at all customer focused, and really seem to be annoyed by customer requests as oppposed to understanding that keeping customers happy is why they have a job in the first place. I finally gave up and went to a different location and couldnt be more impressed with the professionalism and positive attitude of the staff at both cambridgeside and natick.

I really dislike this verizon location ... the staff is horrible, they are not willing to work with customers. I went in b/c my phone broke a month after i got it. they would not replace my phone, and they were very rude to me, basically telling me i was wrong, i didnt know what i was talking about and it was my fault the phone was broken and that LG would NOT give me a free one. i went to a different verizon store in n.h and i had no problem getting a new phone free of charge, no arguments, and i took me all of five minutes. In the brookline store i was stuck arguing with an employee for over 30 minutes and left the store crying. Good Job Coolidge Corner Verizon Wireless!

Im not a Bostonian, but I stopped in while on a road trip and having serious phone trouble with two different phones. My girlfriend and I got the full attention of one of the reps, who was very helpful and nice, even going so far as to deal with Motorolas Customer Service on my behalf. Furthermore, while not busy with other customers, two other employees helped to expedite our service. While the experience wasnt so exemplary that Id go out of my way to return from out of state to buy a phone here, Id certainly return if it were within an hour-or-so drive. Maybe something about the stores changed since April 2010?

I read these "terrible experience" reviews before I went to the Brookline store and was convinced I should go someplace else. However, I had a terrific experience. Mike and then Brian spent an inordinate amount of time explaining different phones to me (including inviting me to actually use the phones so I could see what they felt and sounded like). I ended up buying two phones and various accessories. The sales people were helpful, personable, and funny. I would definitely refer people to this store.
