I had recently gotten divorced and wanted to dispose of my previous engagement ring and ring wrap. I have an affinity for jewelry and have traveled world wide in several jewelry specific markets and knew what the retail value would be for the ring. I ALSO knew that the stone would need to be reset and the gold sold for weight value. EB Horns initial offer was not only reasonable, but I knew that I was being offered top dollar and being treated with respect. About a year later, I took my son to several merchants at downtown crossing so he could purchase a promise ring for his girlfriend. Our last stop was EB Horn-on his own, he decided that he did not trust anyone else. While other merchants slapped their calculators down on the counter the minute he walked in the door, not caring how hard a 17 year old had to work to make $700, Amanda at EB Horn treated him with the utmost respect. There was no haggling, no nonsense. When he came with his girlfriend for Christmas from TX, she said that going to EB Horn was one of the highlights of her visit. At the same time, I decided to purchase 2 more small items for myself. Again, Amanda provided me with excellent service. She was completely patient with my indecisiveness and floundering. I was polite-but I still wouldnt have wanted myself as a customer! 25 years ago, I worked in the area and went for walks on my lunch hour and made daily stops to look in their window. Eventually, I married someone in the military and moved out of the area. I have been to stores in the southern US that have the largest selection of diamonds over 2 carats anywhere in the south and I have been to the largest jewelry store in Thailand as well as severaI places in between. I can say with 100% confidence that of all of the areas of the world I traveled to, and of the thousands of windows I drooled in front of, EB Horn has the most exquisite display of distinctive quality gemstones I have seen anywhere. As far as customer service, the down to Earth atmosphere is parallel to Market Basket, and appropriate for a high end (that still has affordable items) jewelry store. I hope to return there with my son when he shops of an engagement ring, and I would recommend the store or Amanda Selfridge without hesitation for their excellent customer service and knowledge.

I purchased my first automatic watch from EB Horn - it was an unforgettably GREAT experience!...... That day I told the staff immediately that I wasnt too knowledgeable about watches, and they began to teach me everything I needed to know and walk me through all of my options. The staff (professionals!) that helped me - Doug, Michael, and Norm - epitomized careful customer service and seemed genuinely invested in my satisfaction and in-store experience. They spent HOURS with me as I tried on almost every watch in the store - and they did so with patience, a smile, and while cracking jokes. I left the store that day with a watch that I truly loved and with great feelings towards the people that guided me along the way at EB Horn. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

s there an option for no stars? went there to get a simple appraisal on my engagement ring. within moments - without even cleaning the ring first- was told that there was a huge chunk missing out of my diamond and that I should put in a claim with my insurance to have it replaced and start looking at loose diamonds. after leaving there in tears, I visited another jeweler (who cleaned the ring and then examined it) and was assured the diamond was in PERFECT condition. it became apparent that EB was looking to make a buck rather than provide HONEST service. Consumer BEWARE.

You would figure that the prestige this company has or the nice cases full of jewelry that this company would pay fair prices for estate gold Jewelry. This is not the case , a rude snotty man that helped the police investigate this place my son (heroin) stole from us and sold gold jewelry here for 1/10th of the value with no id. I walked in and saw my ruby encrusted enameled broach my grandmother gave me when I was 8 years old in the case for sale. 5 police officers and detectives helped me located my stolen jewelery here.

We bought our wedding bands at EB Horn. We went in on a whim and they had exactly what I was looking for. John gave us a quote based on what the rings were marked at and later found out my ring was marked incorrectly and should have been a few hundred dollars more. EB Horn honored the original quoted price which was very nice of them to do. Overall, the service was great and they were the only store that had the band I really wanted. I definitely recommend them.

This was the only place that didnt pressure us for a sale, staff were friendly & welcoming and genuinely interested in our requirements. The experience was worlds away from competitors with reasonable prices for an excellent quality. I work in sales & I go out of my way to commend excellent service, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend to any engaged couples!

Superior service and professionalism. My wife and I just went into their store on Monday May 22nd to purchase a 25th anniversary ring for her. They couldnt have been nicer people or more professional. We were able to pick up the ring on Tuesday May 23rd our actual anniversary. Class all the way around. Anyone who complains about this place ought to have their head examined.

Priced competitively, always some room to test your negotiation skills, but thats any place. ps. the person complaining about finding their stolen jewelry here .. Im sorry, but how exactly is your sons heroin addiction, and apparently your failure as a parent, any fault of this company?

Poor customer service. Brought a few items in to be maintained and purchase an engagement ring. Person at the counter didnt introduce himself and handled my items without care. Dropping them on the glass case repeatedly. Absolutely disgusting customer treatment. I would rather light money on fire than give it to this company.
