I worked with Spencer over the phone to design an engagement ring for my wife. Its a very daunting task to choose an engagement ring, especially over the phone and in a different state. Spencers customer service was impeccable. He was accommodating and showed a passion for designing the best ring for my wife by emailing photos throughout the process and by ensuring me that he was available if any alterations were needed. My wife loved the ring so much that she decided to work with Spencer on a matching wedding band. Both rings were custom made and absolutely unique. Folks from all over are often complimenting her on her beautiful rings. I chose a white gold wave style ring with a blue sapphire and a matching style wedding band with studded diamonds. Recently we found ourselves in Boston and decided to visit Spencer in his awesomely located shop near Kings Church. As soon as he saw her ring he remembered working with with us. His jewelry shop was impressive with many unique styles that first caught my eye. Thank you to Spencer and the Skylight Jewelry Staff for amazing service and craftsmanship.

My opal engagement ring is my fiancés great grandmothers and needed some repair when it was given to me. We had gone to a different jeweller and he completely botched the job and not even a year later one of the opals fell out on a trip. We thought we had done our home work on finding someone who could work with opals, but this time we looked a bit harder. On our next trip to Boston we stopped at Skylight and I just got my ring back yesterday (two week turn around). I couldnt be more happy! Not only did he find an opal to replace the missing one the day we were there, but the ring has never looked better. The band looks amazing. After having been worn for almost a century he got most of the details to still shine through. The opal settings which looked incredibly messy after the first guy now look clean and as if they belong on the ring. If I ever need to have it fixed again, Im just going to send it straight to this guy. After months of worrying about finding the right person, Im so glad we went to Skylight Jewelers!

I went into Spencers to get a custom engagement ring made for my fiancee. I had been to two previous places before and he was the only one I trusted to do the job well and at a reasonable rate. I had a loose idea of what I wanted, and was probably a pain to deal with at points, but he was very patient, understanding, and knowledgeable about the whole process. We hadnt planned on it, but when it came to getting our wedding bands made we went back to Spencer and he again was amazing at producing something from scratch for us. I recommend his operation very highly. Everyone at this shop knows their stuff and can help you find what you need. If they dont have something, they can make it or source it and will work hard to make sure its what you are looking for. I cant say enough nice things, these people are just fantastic!

Spencer is an excellent jeweler, he crafted my engagement ring, which is a non-traditional green tourmaline channel set in yellow gold and platinum. He ordered multiple stones for me to choose from, and created a wax model so I could see exactly how it would look. I also bought my wedding band from Spencer, which he custom designed to fit exactly against my ring and stuck to the budget I gave him. I would highly recommend his custom work as well as all of the unique pieces he has showcased in the store.

My fiancé and I have been stopping in at Skylight Jewelers for the last three years. When we first stumbled on this place it was purely coincidence. Of course my fiancé wanted to try on some of Spencers wonderful examples of engagement rings. Thats when I knew this was the place for us to start designing our wedding set. I walked into Skylight on a whim, just before I purchased my fiances engagement ring. The shop alone was enough to tell me this wasnt the typical Downtown Crossing jewelry shop. Whoever created the pieces on display here was a real artist. Then I met Spencer. Immediately, he had grasped exactly what I was looking for and had a sketch ready.
