this store is conveniently located near government center and downtown crossing. i bought mens teva sandals to have more comfort walking around boston. the selection is adequate. the employees are extremely friendly and ask politely and professionally if you need help finding something. i like alot of shoes ive bought at dsw. some are comfortable. if the shoe doesnt really fit, buy it online through dsw, shipping free over $50 and they offer $10 off coupons.

Once upon a time, the thought of DSW terrified me. Who could possibly process THAT many shoes at once? But a mental switch flipped one day (the same one that allows me to wear thong underwear) and now I absolutely love perusing the clearance racks upstairs and ogling all the cute purses, belts and tights. They have a great rewards program for loyal customers; I love getting the $10 off coupons in the mail.

OK place to try on some stuff and get sizes. Not the traditional shoe store experience however - staff do not help you try on, and there is NO inventory not on the floor, which means unless you wear a 9 or 10 youll likely have to order it online anyway. The staff I did interact with were very nice, however, so I dont fault them for anything, that is just the way this bargain store works

Its a big DSW, and theres a good selection. I rarely end up buying anything though, unless its from the clearance rack. The prices arent that much different than what you can find elsewhere or online. I mostly stop in because I happen to be walking by, not because Im actually in search of a pair of boots or shoes. Sometimes I go just to try things on and get a correct size.

Go up to the top floor for the clearance racks. They have great sales up there and will combine with the DSW rewards and coupons you have from your DSW frequent buyer account. The store is currently under construction so getting around was confusing at first, but once you figure it out (escalators up, need to take the elevators to go back down), its not bad at all.

The mayhem was expected, but not the lacking selection in mens footwear - most styles were too flashy. If youre looking for something more formal or semi-formal, you may have better luck at a department store. All that being said - after some searching, I was ultimately able to find the boot I wanted on DSWs website, and got a great deal.

Great selection of shoes here, and the employee was very helpful and patient. I was looking for some cool kicks for a 1 year old girl. After a lot of internal debate I come across this pair of grey and pink Jordan retro 5s, perfect. Turns out 12-18 month older wear between a size 5-6 usually. The parents loved them, went over great.

Good selection of shoes. Asked them to apply a $10 credit when purchasing a pair, they said they applied it but didnt. Returned to the cashier and asked if this was the price after the credit as it was the original price without any discounts. Called customer service and will have to return to the store to apply the credit.

Always a line, but it moves quickly. Floor staff are always pleasant and quick to assist. I get the same cashier almost every time I shop here, and shes a joy. She even processed a return for me on shoes I wore after finding out the wrong size was in the box. Great customer service and there are always good shoe options.

Another great location for getting a fresh pair of kicks on my feet! As DTX develops more so, this location seems to be getting an even better selection of sneakers and shoes for men. This location is also great for belts, shoe care and the occasional leather good such as a tablet sleeve, etc.

Not what it used to be. The selection and quality of high end mens shoes is good, with odd gaps such as virtually no dress boots. The prices arent that impressive anymore either as other retailers have caught up. But its worth a trip for their "clearance" section which can be amazing.

The escalators are being redone so you have to take the elevator up to the second floor and then the escalator up but the elevator down. Not that big a deal but good to know. The prices arent as great as they used to be. There were not so many bargains to be had. The selection was okay.

Love this store in Downtown Crossing in Boston MA. So many shoes, great prices, always buy my shoes here, sometimes I will buy 2 or 3 pair at the same time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you find the right pair of shoes.
