It doe snot get any worst then this place. I order a tow hook cover my 2013 Forester, gave the guy a VIN number and he told me he will call me when the item is in and never called. So a week later I called again gave the VIN number to another guy who told me that there was no order ever placed under my name and that they have a bunch of those tow hook covers and I did not need to order just come and pick it up. So I picked up the cover drove it to the body shop where they painted it to match the car then went to put it on the car and it was the wrong cover, so again I went back to the parts department and they told me it was completely for a different car, I am amazed how they could have made this mistake when I gave them the VIN number so many times. Anyhow the guy gave me another tow hook cover and promised to paint it on the house and call me once it is ready. 10 days pass and no word from them so again I called and the parts manager talked to me with attitude saying that I never gave the VIN number that is why he did not paint the item. I told the guy I must have given them the VIN number for my car 10 times at least. I got fed up told him forget paining it and that I will come and pick it up so I drove for the 5th time to the dealership for this small little bumper tow hook cover picked it up again and drove it to the body shop again and paid again to have it painted. I am out of $70 on just painting the item alone not to mention all the time and aggravation. I do not completely blame the parts department manager, he seemed to me like a nice mad just really overworked and tired but the bottom line is you cannot treat a customer this way. FYI their sales department is no better when I purchased a brand new Forester from them a few years ago for my mom they delivered the car without floor mats. This dealership is just bad in every way. Herb Chambers I think is the best when it comes to satisfying the customer they should take a few lessons form them.

I bought a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek. I traded in an 07 Ford Edge to knock down the payments. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the vehicles that is experiencing excessive oil consumption. After owning the car now for about a year and change, its blue low engine oil light illuminated. Once getting home from the Mass Pike I read the owners manual about the light coming on and what to do. I slowly added one quart of oil as instructed and checked the dipstick for correct level. Subaru quips that this is NORMAL. The next step was to return the car to the dealer to change the oil and to come back in a mere 1200 miles so as to perform a oil level check. Of course, the level was fine at my 1200 checkup. I am stuck paying for a car that was sold to me WITHOUT a mention by sales that the motor has oil consumption issues! Would you buy a Subaru knowing this? I think NOT. If you Google "Subaru excessive oil consumption" you will find that this problem exists for ALL models between 2011 and 2014 with the 2.0 and 2.5 Boxer motor! There are at least 2 class action law suits pending vs. Subaru over this issue that Subaru blatantly claims is NORMAL. The fix is to pull the motor and change the oil piston rings. Of course, that would cost the company tons of money to right. They will tell you like me, to keep a watch on the oil level. Are you kidding me? On a NEW vehicle? I have a 10+ year old snow blower that doesnt even burn a drop of oil! I have asked Subaru to refund me my money plus the amount allotted for my trade in. Of course they danced around the issue in reply. No one at Cityside Subaru has contacted me in an effort to make right this unappreciated transaction and I am not expecting them to either. I am screwed making payments on this shitbox for the next 3.5 years. I am not feeling the love. Folks, this is a heads up. Do not buy a Subaru.

was already a Subaru fan as I had been enjoying my new 2014 lease for 3 months. Now I will never drive anything but - reason being, Joe Cisek. My car was hit by a driver who was going through a red light. I was able to get to the side and call a tow truck. My next call was to CitySide. I explained what had happened and that I would be having the car towed there. Joe started to explain that for body work the cars go elsewhere. He must have detected by my voice just how shaken up I was and told me to just get in the truck and bring myself and the car to Belmont. When we pulled into the driveway, Joe was right there to meet us. He told me the car was his problem to fix now and that I should sit for a few minutes and relax. He kept reassuring me that it was off of my shoulders now. I asked if I could call a car rental service. His answer was no. He said there was snow in the forecast (boy, was he right!) and he wanted me back in a Subaru. I know that couldnt have been the usual procedure. Within a short time I was on my way home again. I know this isnt really a service review for car repair but I have full confidence that a department run by a gentleman of his caliber can be nothing but stellar!

This dealership engages in deceptive sales practices. Recently i went to purchase a wrx and trade in my crv. We all agreed on a new car price and a trade in price and sales guy had me sign. Then he takes it to his manager and comes back and says trade in has to go down and tells me manager has seen my vehicle and called wholesalers and can only do so much on trade in. After more back and forth to manager he comes back and trade in has gone down some more and we agree. Then he gets my signature again and goes back to manager and this time comes back and says that manager drove my car and trade in has to go down again.....at this point i am seething and walk out without a sale. These guys dont know the basics of sales because guess what....I went down to METRO WEST SUBARU and bought a Forester and a WRX....Sales at cityside if you are reading this take note and fire your sales manager...Never going back to this dealership for sales ever again....hope they dont suck on service!

This dealership is fraudulent!!! Bought my car with just over 25,000 miles, brought my car to Watertown Ford with just over 30,000 and was told my tires were completely bald. Called cityside Subaru and was told they are no longer responsible for any maintenance according to the Lemon Law Act. The salesman also stated if it has a sticker it must of been good before, UM NO. A real machanic at Watertown Ford said it will pass with a 3 depth but not a 2, so they sold me a car that had a couple hundred miles left in the tire tread if that and claim its my fault. My original salesman was great, since the initial purchase it hasnt been great. They just Lost my future service business and received another bad review. All they care about is getting a sale. And..... I brought my car there to have rotors replaced like 2 weeks after purchasing and all they did was grind them down and put the same ones back on. Thanks a lot CITYSIDE SUBARU in Belmont, MA. Ya right
