Took us several tries to get our order. They didnt wait on us the first time we were there and left us standing for the better part of an hour on the second trip. That shouldve been a sign. Once Gary took our order and got back to us by phone, it took several tries to get the whe order worked out. Mind you this is after we tried to get them to install a patio last year and none of their contractors called us back. When they shipped it, they only shipped out the stone, not the rocks and sand wed need for the base even though wed specified everything needed to be transported. Gary did not calculate enough sand so our contractor had to go back for two more tons, and too much stone so we have a whole unopened pallet of discontinued pavers we dont know what to do with... Obviously cant return them. Midway through our project we discovered well need to add a retaining wall. Needless to say, were going with another source for that (who as of our first call has offered to come out and bring samples as well as take and confirm measurements onsite, something Stone Source couldnt be bothered to do.)

This store is greedy and non-customer friendly. Attempted to return an unopened 50lb bag of polymeric sand that I bought less than 3 days ago. Before I bought the bag, I specifically asked the sales rep if I could return it if I didnt use it. The sales rep said yes, as long as it was unopened and I had a receipt. Today, when I attempted to return the bag, I was told that there is a 25% restocking fee and that the return balance will be credited to a gift card instead of receiving cash back!!! I even pointed out the sales rep who failed to tell me this information at the time of purchase, but the company would not budge or give me back my $36. What am I going to do with a 50lb unopened bag of polymeric sand??? This is such a non-customer friendly policy and is just a rouse to get people to come back and spend more money. I refused to accept a gift card because I for one will not be coming back, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to frequent this establishment.

UPDATE: 2-20-2017 These guys are still fabulous. Customer service is impeccable. Deliveries are on time. Billing is accurate. Have no complaints. Original POST: Im a commercial contractor. These guys always come through for us. Weve done numerous concrete jobs with them and have not had any issues come up. Recently, at our principle residence we ordered top soil. These guys were not the cheapest in town but doing my research these guys had the highest quality top soil for reasonable price. I could have picked it up in my trailers and saved the delivery fee but doing that would have cost me more on time, labor, and the use of my trailers. Nah let the dump truck handle it. My 3yr old son loved watching him dump it anyhow. Dont listen to the naysayers...USE THE BEST-THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!!

Cant knock the service or selection but my God the prices are RIDICULOUS! I work with a local contracting company and had a client choose (2) pallets of boulders from The Stone Store. The contractors cost for (1) pallet of boulders was $750 and then $475 for the second pallet which contained (1) boulder. I am not much for complaining as I understand first hand the cost of doing business but this is excessive. Do yourself a favor and PRICE CHECK before you buy!

Customer service is great, and the selection is very wide. The indoor showroom is well designed with modular panels of stone types so you can compare them easier. The outdoor show area is large and has many types of material represented. Staff is knowledgeable but when they dont know something they take the time to find out.

We had them deliver 21 tons of river jacks for our gravel driveway. Chase, our salesman, was very helpful and patient in answering our questions and helping us with product selection. The price was fair. The delivery truck driver was prompt and courteous. An overall excellent experience.

They carry a good selection of landscaping stones, at all prices and can always find a deal with discontinued items, partial pallets of pavers, left over slates, etc. You gotta love a place that cleans the yard at the end of the fall to reduce inventory. Thanks Stone Store!!

Staff extremely helpful, shout out to Nora, Jimmy and friend. Had to "pick up" 18" x 60" bluestone for hearth. Hubby sent me. I forgot a tape measure. They had one. Great experience. Expect lines 5 peeps deep at the counter bc they take their time w everyone.

Im not sure if they understand how businesses but they treated our company like we wouldnt pay them even though we pay our bills. We stopped using them because their prices were high and I dont see us using them again after my experience with them.

I bought many pallets of eldorado stone for house, pavers for walkways, crushed stone, and bluestone fjor steps for a new house and was extremely happy with advice, service, and material. I am returning to buy more pavers for a back yard patio.

Worse experience EVER! The store gave us orange rocks instead of white. When we returned them, we were charged a 25% restocking fee and will receive a check for the rest in SEVEN weeks. They screw up and it cost us $15. NEVER again.

Great Store to me, I think the prices are fine. one TON of rocks for good prices. Better than going to Home Depot, or Lowes. The Style Rock I wanted only cost me 120 bucks a ton. Its best to have your own truck.

Fell in love soon as I walked through the door. Staff was helpful and knew what I needed. Pick up was easy. Staff even helped pick out in the yard. Going back once I start other projects.

Stones and mulch are slightly above average price but delivery charges are off the scales. Shop around you will save a ton of dough.
