This shop is one of 3 but this on here in Gaithersburg is the most helpful of all and the most personal customer experience oriented the staff here are very kind, caring, and extremely well informed in there product and love the work as it shows in there commitment to your customer experience to be the best it can be without being pushy or nosey they make you feel like your at home with your super smart yet highly relatable comic book loving family member you love to be around as much as possible with each visit to the shop and I highly recommend you come in as close to 10 am on Wednesdays to pick up the newest releases of the week and if you cant make it then you can always call and ask to have the ones you want held for you for when you can make it in to buy them this is my weekly early morning stop on my Wednesdays the one day Ill get up as early as I can to make it in at 10 am and I am usually sleeping in at that time so that shows you how much of a fabulous place beyond comics gaithersberg shop is so if you can make it there I highly earge you to stop in and buy a comic or two its well worth the time and money to visit and tell them Matt Salazar sent ya if you do

The store is great, the customer service is wonderful, but ordering from them online was a horrible experience! For example I order a comic from them and was told four weeks after the fact that they didnt have it even though I was told by them they did but, was stuck in some warehouse of theirs...I even offer to come by and pick it up but they told me to wait cause they didnt have direct access to their warehouse! *sigh* Reason for my rant is because I could have gotten this comic from another vendor at the same price but trusted in them. Now I missed my chance and the comic is worth a lot more now. =(

The Gaithersburg Beyond Comics is a great store. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they will do all they can to get you what you want. One time I forgot to put in a request for a particular issue, and the manager sold me his copy, just to make sure that I did not miss out. The store also carries a small but good selection of games and tabletop gaming materials, and runs Magic: The Gathering events and Dungeons & Dragons and other RPGs. They also do a great job on Free Comic Book Day. If you are looking for comics and associated geeky stuff, Beyond Comics does not disappoint.

Best comic store I have ever been. Staffs are friendly & satisfying customer service. Went there several times just to get some board games, card games, & etc for late night party games. But unfortunately they dont have enough Yugioh products since Im more of a Yugioh player then MTG player. I really wish they have Ultra Pro sleeves for people who plays Yugioh or other TCG that uses small sleeves & etc. They do have Yugioh product but little amount then I expected. But nonetheless its a great store.

This place is great simply for the people who work there. In reality, they do a terrible job stocking the racks. Not very current and terribly unorganized. They have a very limited, not very savory section with $1 comics and overpriced back issues. All that said, they are wonderful people there. Fun to talk to and educated about comics. Not looking to rip you off. Want to do the right thing. This is coming from a loyal patron of over 5 years.

This place has an awesome selection of comics, from the big publishers to indies. Their staff is super nice and helpful and they hold awesome events (signing, free comic book day, ect). There prices are in line with the lower pricing you can find online, which makes shopping locally a no-brainer. They also have an awesome back-log of key issues. Since moving back to frederick this has been my main store.

This store is what a comic book store should be. Theyre friendly and helpful on all levels. Whether you are a hardcore comic book enthusiast or just wanting a single issue theyll be there to help with any question or recommendations. They have a nice selection of back issues and trades to choose from and if you cant find it theyll do their best to get it.

Newer Comics were jammed into the racks and many had to be maneuvered to take out. Back stock had no boards and half of them had no bags. Purchased 3 new books and 2 boards and bags. Each board/bag was 30 cents. What pissed me off was when I asked if I could get some tape to tape the bag shut I was told sorry the tape is for store use only. REALLY!

I come here for Friday Night Magic very often. What can I say? The place is great! The owner is great, the staff are awesome, everyone is friendly. Plus, its clean and everyone keeps it that way. They mainly sell comics but they have a good selection of games (card-based or otherwise) and accessories like dice, boxes, sleeves, etc.

Ive been going to Beyond Comics for well over a decade now. Its a great comic book shop with a solid selection of comic books, toys, tradepaperbacks and collectibles, including a solid kids comic book section. Theyve also gotten some great folks into shop for signings and have regular gaming events that are well attended.

Ive been going here for years now for all my comic book needs. They are very reliable with their subscription services and, as a result, Ive stemmed out from just reading Marvel comics to DC and IDW too. They may not be the biggest store ever but they certainly have what you need. The owner John is very nice. Thanks!

Just spent $20 at this shop and they wanted to charge me .05 for a bag when it was raining out. Last time I come to this store. The selection wasnt bad, store was nice, but to literally nickel and dime your customers is nonsense. 1st and last stop at this shop.

Good Little Shop. They have a good selection but they usually only have a few of them so if you go, it is easy to find your comic out of stock but they are very nice to order one for you
