Abundant parking and decent selection of items. Thats all thats good about this place. Every single time I go here, I spend more time waiting in the damn lines than I do shopping. It doesnt matter what day or what time of day. 90% of the cashiers are incredibly slow and dont care. They have conversations with each other often instead of trying to reduce the length of the lines. Why doesnt this place have self-checkout?! I want to share a couple experiences: One time I went to the 15-item-or-less line, I had 4 items. One of the workers (I think a bakery worker) had a sandwich and drink and came behind me, and asked he if could go ahead of me since he only had two items. I dont mind letting someone ahead of me when I have a large basket of items and they only have a couple, but I thought it was odd that he would ask that when I only had two more items than him. Also, he worked there. Against better judgement, I told him to go ahead and jump ahead of me. As he was checking out, he proceeded to chat it up with the cashier. I couldnt believe it. I was thinking, dude if you wanted to have a conversation with her, you couldve just waited. Not only did I let him go first, then I had to wait for him to stop talking. Incredibly rude. One more thing I hate about this place is one of the managers. When he does check out, he makes comments about EVERYTHING. Whatever item you buy, he makes weird comments about it. I guess he thinks hes trying to be funny or nice, but after waiting in line for a long time and then have the guy wasting time making weird comments about my items, I find incredibly unprofessional. Maybe itd be different if he was actually funny, but its just annoying, and he does it all the time. Never go out of your way for this place

This Safeway gets a lot of bad rep for some reason. I understand a few of the complaints: The lines are long, often because they only have one or two open. The hours seem to change a lot and they dont have some specialty items that giant eagle right down the street does. What they do have is good prices and very friendly staff. Im up all hours of the day and no matter the time I come into this store there is always someone who is friendly. Rather it be 5:30AM right when they open the door OR right before closing. I also find, for the items I buy, their prices are a bit more competitive than a lot of people let on.

Absolutely awful ran store- I usually go to the Middletown Safeway which is very nice and friendly, this one is larger yet sells less items, and the deli workers were extremely rude and didnt have what I came in for. When I was checking out the service desk also had other people complaining Thank god I dont live near this Safeway or I would hate this brand

I started coming here because of the location. I have tried to deal with the pharmacy but something is always messed up. Every. Time. And the girl who works there is rather unapologetic and dismissive every time I deal with her. I give up. Not worth the nonsense for what should be a rather simple process.

A clean, well-stocked shopping store. Its often difficult to get the attention of the staff at the deli counter. It also seems that the check out lanes are staffed at less than ideal levels. Otherwise, everyone here is friendly and helpful and its a pleasant shopping experience.

This is the closest grocery store to parts of downtown, so I usually only go here when Im short on time. Ive had to go back for things that were rung up incorrectly, and there are often long lines due to a lack of cashiers on the front end.

Overpriced items difficult to find sales. Many of the products were out of stock or had limited variety. The isles are a maze to navigate. Dont waste your time with this location many better stores in the area.
