This in no way is a reflection of Dave Cox who was as helpful as a proper sales person should be at any dealership. If your going to buy from here definitely seek him out. My issue is with Quality Control. My experience with Dave was excellent, the vehicle I wanted was there and I looked at it one evening with the intent to purchase the vehicle after making the deal. The vehicle I wanted was a 2003 Toyota Sequoia with 149k miles. If anyone knows Toyota mechanical quality this is a Body on Frame SUV with an outstanding record to mechanically out perform any of the Uni-body crap thats out there now. Mechanically this particular SUV was on point. On to my experience. As I mentioned the vehicle I wanted was at the Honda Dealership. As we, my family of 4, were taking a detailed look at the vehicle, 1 hour trip one way, with the intent to purchase. My 4 year old son pointed out something at his eye level that I missed, "Why is this part soft?". Yes he found RUST. The lower rear wheel arches had significant rust behind the door, the driver side rust was through the body and deteriorating as you lightly touched it. At this point after making the deal my son had saved me a lot of headaches so I basically walked. The Regional/District manager stopped me as I was leaving to ask me why I was going to leave the deal. I told him that the rust was the deal breaker. He asked me what could be done to salvage the deal after, talking to him and showing him the rust on the vehicle. He said it can be fixed for about $500-600 dollars each side. I told him to see if more money could be taken off the vehicle. He went to discuss it with the Sales Manager and came back with $200 more off the price, $1200 at best to fix the rust, and $200 off an already bloated price of $8448, $700 over KBB GOOD dealer pricing. This is what they had it advertised before bringing the price up online to $8948 $500 more than what I originally saw the vehicle for. No one knew the rust existed, yet the vehicle has to pass a MD Inspection which, I believe should have pointed this out even though it was not on the floor or trunk locations. Sadly, I spent 3 hours with my family on the road. I received an email, generic and auto generated, from the dealer without an apology. Like I mentioned before, DAVE COX, great guy I recommend you seeing him for your next purchase here. My recommendation to the dealership, check every nook and cranny before putting thousand plus into a potentially rotting car out on your lot again to mechanically get it to pass MSI. Store management also needs a once over, I realize dealership life is stressful but, customer comes first and interactions with management should always be better than the sales interactions, Im glad the Regional was there, maybe he will look into the OVERALL quality of the product being sold on his lots.

This dealer is a big scam. Please fellows, afraid of going there. I was given a price by Internet Sales Person which was a great deal. Before going to the dealer, I confirmed that the EXACT vehicle is in stock and the price communicated via email is still valid. They said "Yes" price is still valid and they had vehicle in stock. When I went there, I was handled by Frank. First of all, he acted as if there is no communication between the dealer and Internet sales person so far as pricing is concerned. He disappeared somewhere and came back. He brought the vehicle for Test Drive which was 2014 and I requested for 2015. When I noticed that he acted dumb. I refused to drive 2014 model and insisted 2015 with my preferential color which they promised was available. He took me back to his desk. Again, all hands meeting or something in his managers cabin. Came back after 10 minutes and asked for the emails. I gave him everything. Again, all hands meeting in his bosss office. This time he did not show up but his boss came. He was very rude. First he started saying that the email does not say 2015. I showed his where it mentioned. Then he said the price was only valid until 12/31. However I spoke to their rep on 1/2 and she said they wanted me to extend the offer until 1/3 if I can come on the same day. I drove all the way from Columbia (about 1.5 hours). Finally the Boss guy did not have anything to say so he shamelessly started screaming. He said neither they had the vehicle in stock nor they can afford the price that was given in email. I stood up and started my way back to Columbia. On the way, started getting emails and phone calls from the Frank guy that they want to sale the other colors for the price that I am looking for. I was already getting other colors near my home. Please be afraid of any Internet pricing you have received. This is a whole gang of cheaters.

I requested a Honda Civic hatchback. Team worked hard to find what I wanted. Financing options changed when I came to pick up the car. Sales manager stated at the financing page dated 8/4/27 and tried to explain the % on financing changes daily. I was quoted 0.9 on 8/18 and came to finalize purchase on 8/21. Honda had not made any changes, the sales team were deceptive. The fun continued. I had put $500 deposit down to demonstrate my commitment before they brought the car I wanted from PA. When I decided I would rather do business with another dealer who knew their business better this team, I requested my deposit refund. I was told I had to call back the next day. Curious they had the staff and ability to take $25k from me but no ability or staff to refund $500. I called the next day giving my credit card information. Within 26 hours of providing my information over the phone I had NO REFUND but, instead, fraudulent activity on my card of 10 years. I had to cancel my credit card and drive to Easton to get a refund requiring 4 different people to figure out how to get me refunded. Too bad. I really wanted the car and to do business and be a life long customer. Incompetence and a complete unwillingness to be honest with me from the beginning.

My husband and I decided it was time to get a new automobile. My little car simply did not fit my 65" husband. We looked at several different dealerships and were very tired of dealing with the hard sell we were getting on cars we simply could not afford. When we went to David Wheeler we were greeted by Lenny. It was getting dark and had started to rain. He let us look at the CRV in the showroom before pulling up one for us so that we could go for a test drive and not run through the rain to get one. We fell in love. When we went back inside he worked up some numbers for us that were completely fair. We didnt have to do the whole song and dance of 3 days of wheeling and dealing. We decided we wanted to get a different color than the ones they had on the lot and they kept the same price we had agreed on and went out and found us our perfect color combination. All in all our experience with both Lenny and Grant, who helped finalize the deal, was superb. We probably didnt get the deal of the century, however we left feeling great about every step of our purchase process. I guess you dont have to give the hard sell when you have a great product!
