Be sure to demand a CarFax report on any used cars from Providence! I bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Providence Auto in January 2005. It was a 2004 with low mileage, and I was told the previous owner was someone who bought a new car every year. It sounded like a good deal. I asked about a CarFax report but was told that they didnt offer them. Because CarFax was new at that time, it seemed legit. Fast forward to 2013... Im now in the market for a new SUV. The Jeep has been a good car for me for eight years and almost 160,000 miles but is starting to cost too much to maintain--Ive replaced both window units as well as the radiator and have been fighting emission warning lights every inspection for four years. The first dealer I went to said theyd give me $3,500 for my Jeep based on the questions I answered, which sounded good and was what I expected based on Kelley Blue Book values. The second dealer I talked to ran a CarFax report. I was shocked to find out that three months before I bought my Jeep, it was in a major front-end collision, which disabled the car and required it to be towed. The previous owner fixed the car (it looked fine and I never had any front-end trouble), but because of this accident, the best trade-in price I can get from a dealer is $2,200 (verified by 3 dealers) I feel that Providence must have been aware that this car was in an accident when they took it from the previous owner, and that may be why they declined my request for a CarFax report. They should have disclosed the cars full history to me, but because they didnt, Ill lose $1,300 in trade-in value that I was counting on to put toward a new car. While I had a good experience as a Jeep owner, I now know that Providence wasnt as honest and forthright with me as I had assumed. Im writing this review to caution other buyers to be aware. Make sure you get as much information as possible about your potential new car before you sign and drive.

I COMPLETELY agree with the guy posting about the CarFax issues. My experience wasnt related to that but is directly related to dishonesty. 2008 Jeep Wrangler was bought 6 months after the sales manager was finished test driving it. And it has been a decent vehicle for us up until this past weekend when the first gear seems to have taken its toll on the transmission. Pan was dropped and metal shavings collected in the bottom of the pan. Beware folks: when you think you have an unlimited power train warranty, you really dont. Apparently they dont remind the buyer that you need to have that stuff inspected periodically, even though they have changed the oil and done the service on that vehicle all but a handful of times. Oh, they dont track the VIN number when they do oil changes. REALLY? I have had my other vehicle serviced by two top garages in the area and my bill always has the VIN number on it whether it was an oil change, or something more complex. And I forgot to mention that we missed the grace period for the inspection by 10 days. Now thats some awesome customer service! Way to retain customers and insure that they come back for their next vehicle. Never again will I give them my business nor will I probably ever buy a Chrysler. GM will at least give you a 60 day grace period.

End of 2013 I purchased a 2008 vehicle from them and after driving the vehicle for 25 hours over two weeks the alternator and battery have failed. I like the vehicle but I am disappointed that a dealership would sell a vehicle with a battery that needs to be replaced. I contacted the dealership and spoke to the maintenance manager who basically said I should have bought an extended warranty. Then he said he would talk to the general manager and get back to me. He has not gotten back to me and did not return my call. I called and left messages with the sales person I bought the vehicle from, the maintenance manager and the general manager, I am frustrated with the service and would have expected better service from a dealership. They have not returned my calls which is unprofessional even if they were not going to cover any of the repairs they should have contacted me. If you are purchasing a vehicle from them good luck hopefully you will have better luck than me.

Herb is the best salesman that I ever met! He went above and beyond his job a very nice guy! I left my old truck there and I hired a trucking co. to bring my truck home back to Wildwood, The trucking co. Took my money and no service, I was going to have someone drive me to providence auto so I could bring my truck home, The people at providence found out what I was going to do, they hired two drivers to bring my truck back130 miles at no charge. Great people to do business with!!! HAPPY DRIVER!

Jeremy Tuel certainly went the extra mile for me! I needed a truck and he located 2 for me in a 700 mile radius, 1 being in Pa the other Michigan. He provided purchase quotes, fairly, honestly and speedily. I drove a little over an hour to this dealership because of Jeremy. I definitely will be recommending Providence and Jeremy to any and all I can! Thank you Jeremy for your hard work and per distance with the other dealer in getting me my truck!

Have purchased three (3) Jeeps from Providence now, and with on minor exception in 2008 (which they addressed immediately), have had very good, professional experiences with them. We have our Jeeps serviced there, and never had any issues. Will continue to buy from them and obtain service from them.
