Humph!!!!! All they care about is the money they make, with that being said if you’re looking for superb customer service you won’t get it at Darcars College Park. They show no interest in their customers whatsoever. Back in June 2009 I had an awful experience with the service department. I had some issues with my car and decided to get it service. After getting my car fixed I requested my car to be washed but I was told by the young man who was helping me that it would cost $19.95. I immediately became irate and told the guy how they were going to wash my car FREE of charge. Minutes later the service manager Mike Byers comes over to me and further explains how I must pay the fee in order to get my car washed. I was insulted because I take my car there all the time for service so I figured that’s the least they could have done and to be honest they really should have offered me a free wash. It baffled me how I purchased my car from Darcars and how they still wanted to charge me for a CAR WASH. The service manager is incompetent and lacks everything there is in order to be a manager. At one point he was the GM of that dealership and was let go but someone thought it was a great idea to rehire him as the service manager instead of making him work from the bottom like everyone else. It’s unfortunate to the customers that they have to put up with such foolishness. Customer service skills, social skills and problem solving skills are all key factors when you’re in direct contact with customers. All I can say is he’s lucky to be in that position especially seeing that he isn’t knowledgeable about anything. But on the flip side we have qualified people out of work because of ignorant people like him. Please don’t bother wasting your time and/or money just do yourself a favor and walk away, better yet RUN!

I would have to say this is the worst car "shopping" experience I have ever encountered. I was in the market for a 2016 Nissan Altima. I decided to stop by for a test drive. I pulled into the parking lot, not a single parking space available. Walking into the sales/service area, the layout is a bit confusing. As I stood in the entranceway trying to figure out where to go, a salesperson approached me and asked me if I needed help. He wasnt rude but he wasnt excited about his job either. I walked past several bored looking sales people and one sales person was asleep at his desk! Totally unprofessional. The sales person ( I cant even remember his name) asked me what I was looking for. I told him and he pulled up the same website I was viewing on the internet at home. I asked him to have my trade in appraised. While that was being conducted, he showed me the Altima and let me test drive it. After waiting, what seemed like forever, the salesperson came back with my trade in appraisal. They offered me $1200 for a vehicle that I had earlier that day received a $3000 trade in offer. The KBB for my vehicle ranged from $2200-$3200. I was highly insulted and disgusted. I showed him the offer that I received from the other dealership AND my KBB info. He went and got his manager who said she would need a second opinion and it would take some time. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I left the dealership upset. I did some research and later that day, I purchased my brand new 2016 Nissan Altima at another Nissan dealership that offered me $3250 for my trade in. DARCARS, if only you had a sense of what good customer service and respect is, you might have had my business. If customer service and trade in value doesnt matter to you, then Darcars Nissan is the place for you.

Overall the experience was stressful since it was my first time buying a car and I wasnt willing to be scammed. I looked over the car, drove it, liked it and made an offer. The back and forth went on, a little dramatic overplay from management to make it look like they werent going to budge but finally we agreed on a price. Then we went to finance, everything was going well until we were about to sign the paper work when I asked what my payments were going to be. When they were much higher than i thought I asked to see the final price of the car. It was a few hundred dollars above what we had agreed upon. When I mentioned this to the financial manager he went to investigate. The car salesman disagreed and said what was on the screen was what we agreed on. When there was a lot of back and forth the manager of the dealership came to see what was wrong. He took care of the entire situation and we received everything that we asked for. He made sure we (my girlfriend and I) were happy and cared for. The financial manager was also very considerate and truly cared about what I wanted and needed. I got the car, got the number I wanted and overall fairly pleased with the situation. Just make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. This may seem obvious and most of what we had discussed was in writing but make sure every single detail, comment, idea is written down so you have proof. Charles was the best financial planner/ human I could have met in this kind of situation and the manager Amir was very kind and accommodating to me.

This review is for New car sales. I am not sure about negative reviews before but I find that they are one of the few who can give you rock bottom price. I worked with Clement who is exceptional in providing a good rate by working with his manager (cyril) and believe me I worked out a good deal with clement by text on phone. I didnt feel pushy or pressurized by any one of the staff. Charles also very decent man and not pushy in finance dept and he sees what is best for both customer and dealership. He honored customers decision as I choose my bank over Nissan finance after dealing with some number crunching. He is a good man. Thank you for all your efforts. Update: 3/9/2017 (This review is follow up of new car sales dept.) After one year of purchasing our new car, I have to say at least for me I received great servicing for 2 times and flexible appointment times for oil changes/any recalls from Nissan as requested. I feel they have nice attitude towards customers than most others I experienced in the past. (new car sales dept. - I dont have experience with used cars at this location) Their representatives are extremely helpful in answering phone calls and understand the needs of customers like me. I needed some docs related to my car and I called them and with in couple of minutes I received requested docs to my email. Thanks to Sampath for fast service about this which made me write this updated review.

We walked out when the salesman got an attitude over us wanting to test drive a car. We went in because they were one of the few Nissan dealerships in the area who had the car we were looking for. We came in at noon when they opened and at 12:04 asked for some help. A guy sitting at a desk condecendingly answered that they are not open until 12. When I mentioned it was past 12 he promptly ignored me. Finally aother sales associate came to help and he was, right off the bat, unpleasant. He seemed to be annoyed that we were there. We asked for the keys to the car we wished to test drive. He came back with them after like 20 minutes of fumbling around in the back of the dealership and asked us why we wanted the keys... I thought this was a weird question but answered politely with "well we were thinking of test driving it." He immediately threw his arms in the air and told us there was no time and he had 2 other customers inside. We said "fine we will be leaving" and, upon realizing he had just lost his sale, immediately said "well, wait, you can drive it, here." At that point, we told him to suck it and left the dealership. I STRONGLY urge you to avoid this dealership if you absolutely can. The one in Waldorf is much better and their staff arent a-holes who dont have the time for customers. You couldnt pay me to go back to that place.
